I don't normally write reviews it's quiet rare but had to write one for this one and felt like it was around the time to do so. I bought a custom PC for about $3,000 about a year ago and it is still working wonderfully (before ram shortages happened). Even price wise it is very fair. I can pretty much play any game at Max setting and I know this will last for the next 5-10 years it is an insane upgrade compared to my last PC, This is the place I would go to than risking going to Central Computers or Micro Center. read more

Huge shoutout to Tyler! I needed an upgrade on my current rig and Tyler was able to make it happen on the same day. He was quick to respond and finished upgrading my pc within 1 hour, super quick turn around time! Also reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Tyler for those looking for a new rig, or even a quick upgrade on their current system! Tyler also made a recommendation on having additional fans on my system and I now notice a huge difference in cooler temps on my PC. Thanks Tyler! read more

My technology skills are passable, I think, and I can understand some concepts to a degree. But building a PC for myself requires more experience and research than I have or was willing to do on my own, so I'm not only glad to have found Tyler's business, but also that the experience was a pleasant one overall. This is especially noteworthy, in my opinion, if you're like me and are squirmy about buying tech from anywhere or anyone else except a boxed store. I found Tyler's business when I was looking for PC builders in the Bay Area whose work included examples of the Fractal Terra case I wanted, and it was his IG portfolio as well as the glowing reviews he already received that convinced me to request a quote. But Tyler's communication and extensive, at-the-ready knowledge is what clinched it for me, and I could not be happier with the result. Again, I'm not an expert in any of this stuff, so I had a lot of questions from the get-go that he was able to provide clarification on, and he was also kind enough to suggest monitors for the kind of setup I wanted. All I really had to do was answer a few questions and give him a price point for him to consider. I was "handheld" throughout the whole process, but it was a very hands-off experience, and I appreciate being able to utilize the services of somebody who knows their work and products well and is keen to help from start to finish. There was a little hiccup at the end where, for some reason, the DP ports on my graphics card wasn't working when I plugged into it at home. Tyler was very quick to assist me in troubleshooting the issue remotely, but nothing was working, so I ended up having to bring my PC back to him (with my monitor, which I offered to do). Long story short, cords and ports are weird was my takeaway, but the issue was not at all on the build itself (it was working prior to my initial pickup and when I brought it back). My plan is to stick to this PC for a really long time, but if I ever decide I'm ready for something else, I would 1000% work with Tyler again. read more

Absolutely Worth the Wait Tyler Mai did an outstanding job building my custom computer. From the beginning, he took the time to really listen to what I needed and suggested the perfect system for my work and budget. His customer service is truly next level. I sent him a question at 2 AM, not expecting a reply until morning, but he got back to me within 15 minutes. Yes, Tyler is in high demand, so you might have to wait a bit. But trust me, it is 100% worth it. He is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about getting everything just right. Highly recommend. read more

I'd recently reached out to Tyler (at Mai PC) to help assemble my desktop PC and I'm very happy with the results. I'd sourced the components myself but needed help with the assembly. My interactions with Tyler were a pleasure. His responses during my initial enquiries were cheerful, timely and succinct. On the day of the assembly, his familiarity with the components, their capabilities, their strengths and weaknesses was a clear indicator of expertise. The assembly itself was wrapped up in a few hours, and Tyler ensured I was being updated regularly. All in all, this was everything I'd hoped for when I first reached out for assistance. read more

I brought my computer in for troubleshooting with booting and for help with cable management. Tyler was messaging me late in the night to try and figure out my problem and was very thorough with every test and suggestion. Ultimately, I had to take it in and found it was a GPU issue. Mai PC is the place to go for all of your PC needs! I was in the market during the middle of the pandemic for a PC. It was (and continues to be) an impacted market. I came to Tyler with a budget, and wanted a medium sized rig that was to be used for gaming, productivity, and video editing. With that budget, and as someone who was new to the PC space, he took the time to educate me on the purpose of all the parts. On top of all the wonderful + amazing custom PC's they've built, they made it so easy for me to feel comfortable and trustworthy with a process that I seemingly knew nothing about. The turnaround time took a little longer than anticipated, but that was only in lieu of the GPU Chip Shortage that's been ravishing the market. Customer service is 10/10 -- Mai PC is extremely responsive and patient. Transparency and brevity is key, and I felt heard + understood when I had all of my questions that came top of mind. With the new PC I've had since June, everything has been smooth! I will definitely come back for upgrades + cleanings + maintenance, and would recommend this service for ANYONE -- whether you be a first-time buyer, or a long-term enthusiast! read more

Tyler is so the man! Called him on a Sunday morning (already points since a lot of places were closed), after I had taken my pc to Best Buy (where I bought it) and they wanted it for a week to "run diagnostics". Tyler was willing to let me swing by to see if it was a simple problem. Luckily for me it was. He fixed it, did some custom configs for us. Charged me half of what Best Buy was trying to charge me to check it! Stop searching for a great service place, you found it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

It was overall a great experience getting a PC made by Tyler! I emailed him with what I wanted for the custom PC, and Tyler got back quickly with a plan that matched all my specifications. When I finally picked up the PC, Tyler helped put in showing how the PC would work, which was great for me since I've barely used Windows in my life Everything is working smoothly and the PC came out looking amazing! And when I had technical issues later Tyler was quick to help out! He'll go above and beyond to help you out and I could not recommend MaiPC more for making your custom PC! read more

Very irresponsible and unprofessional. It took Tyler weeks to reply to some simple order related questions and then he just dissapeared.

Tyler is AMAZING and such an expert at his craft. I would recommend using him/Mai PC a thousand times over. My prebuilt PC broke a few months ago, and after hours and hours of trying to troubleshoot the various issues it was having on my own, I decided to hunt down a professional on Yelp who could take a look. That's how I initially came across Mai PC. I took a look at his Instagram and was wowed by all of the beautiful builds he had posted on there. His builds with the built-in LCD screen really caught my eye, and I decided that instead of trying to fix my old PC, I would have Tyler build one from scratch for me. Tyler assisted me with some helpful advice on my pcpartpicker.com list, was always responsive to my millions of e-mails, and was always super informative and professional. Once I had gathered all of my parts and brought them to him, he kept me updated throughout the build process with photos and videos, notifying me if there were any issues like parts that needed to be purchased, and providing me with some handy instructions on getting everything customized to my liking when I get home. He even had some recommendations that I ended up loving like painting certain parts to match the white color scheme I was going for. I am insanely happy with the build. It's the most beautiful PC I've ever seen, matches my aesthetic perfectly, is quiet and surprisingly cool despite the huge GPU, and runs like a beast. His prices were also so reasonable considering he really went above and beyond. If I ever need help troubleshooting a PC issue or building another, he will be my go-to guy. read more

I've never done any sort of gaming with PC's in the past, just very basic stuff. Always wanted to get a gaming PC but didn't want to build one (I don't trust myself) and I wanted to find a smaller business rather than a big conglomerate company. I'm well aware of the larger companies that build custom PCs but due to poor service reviews, I decided to go the local shop way instead. I found Mai PC on the internet and checked them out in Instagram, where II noticed the company's presence is larger there. Tyler, the owner, immediately responded to my inquiry about a PC after I submitted a note on the company's website. He did everything that I wanted and more, but the best part was he was responsive and was genuinely excited to help build a PC for me. I wanted a beast of a gaming computer and he built one for me. It works perfectly. I'm a complete noob when it comes to gaming PCs. He got it all set up to where all I had to do was plug it in and the PC is up & running. Really appreciate all his help, great service with follow ups on progress, great product, and overall I'll be recommending him to anyone and everyone I personally know who is interested in getting custom PC's built. 100% recommend Mai PC. read more

He really hooked it up with great & fast service! I had a friend recommend me their services around back in December 2020 as I had all the parts ready and was reluctant on building this PC myself and went to their services and they delivered! I recommend choosing Mai PC's services for any computer needs if anyone is considering them. Definitely going with them in the future when it comes to upgrading my rig. - Justin E. read more
