My technology skills are passable, I think, and I can understand some concepts to a degree. But building a PC for myself requires more experience and research than I have or was willing to do on my own, so I'm not only glad to have found Tyler's business, but also that the experience was a pleasant one overall. This is especially noteworthy, in my opinion, if you're like me and are squirmy about buying tech from anywhere or anyone else except a boxed store. I found Tyler's business when I was looking for PC builders in the Bay Area whose work included examples of the Fractal Terra case I wanted, and it was his IG portfolio as well as the glowing reviews he already received that convinced me to request a quote. But Tyler's communication and extensive, at-the-ready knowledge is what clinched it for me, and I could not be happier with the result. Again, I'm not an expert in any of this stuff, so I had a lot of questions from the get-go that he was able to provide clarification on, and he was also kind enough to suggest monitors for the kind of setup I wanted. All I really had to do was answer a few questions and give him a price point for him to consider. I was "handheld" throughout the whole process, but it was a very hands-off experience, and I appreciate being able to utilize the services of somebody who knows their work and products well and is keen to help from start to finish. There was a little hiccup at the end where, for some reason, the DP ports on my graphics card wasn't working when I plugged into it at home. Tyler was very quick to assist me in troubleshooting the issue remotely, but nothing was working, so I ended up having to bring my PC back to him (with my monitor, which I offered to do). Long story short, cords and ports are weird was my takeaway, but the issue was not at all on the build itself (it was working prior to my initial pickup and when I brought it back). My plan is to stick to this PC for a really long time, but if I ever decide I'm ready for something else, I would 1000% work with Tyler again. read more
