Island Pursuit is a higher end medium size boutique clothing store located on Main St. in Chatman…read more They have clothes for both men & women here. They have really nice all top brands names & some other local brands people may not be as familiar with. They have pricier items but sometimes they have sale items in here too so look for those. The clothes, colors, & styles reflect the "Living on Cape Cod" theme with nautical styles, & color schemes. Their clothes also reflect activities popular on the Cape like hitting the beach, sailing, boating. They have 5 locations & have been in business since 1983. I bought a great pair of Cool Hurley Boardshorts here at the standard price. Can't wait to wear them. When you walk out of here with a purchase you'll look like a Cape Cod Native instead of a tourist. LOL! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

I visited this store twice today in Chatham, MA. I am a 62 petite woman and was dressed nicely in…read morewhite pants and a cute top with sandals. I selected 5 items to try on - there were 3 women working in the shop and were standing around talking amongst themselves. Not one of them asked if I needed a fitting room. The main woman behind the counter saw me go into the fitting room. Nobody came to check on me. When I exited the fitting room without the items - the main woman behind the counter sort of looked at me and smiled but said NOTHING. I DID find one item that I would have purchased - a very cute Z Supply dress - but there was NO WAY I was going to purchase it after this experience. I did, however, go online and purchased it to be delivered to my home in California. I liked the brands that this store carries and did like the fact that they offer free alterations but if nobody is there to assist you - then why purchase? I will not be back.

Wide selection of men's and women's clothing, right out of the Preppie Handbook. We stop in each time we are in Chatham with the purpose of picking up a bottle of eu de Toilette, Blue one of Southern Tides signature men's colognes. I love it, light, summery, and with a faint hint of wildflower - lilac - lily. My brides loves it, and I do garner a lot of comments when I wear it in public. Very nice staff. However, if and when you…read morewant to pay with a credit card, THEY CHARGE YOU AN ADDITIONAL 4% over the price of the garment. So if the item is $100.00 you will be charged $104.00. It's as though you are paying a penalty for shopping there and using a credit card. Perhaps this 4% charge ( which goes to the processing company) encourages patrons to use their cash instead of charging. There were many items over $200.00 and if a shopper purchased several items( which would be easy to do,)4% additional would be added to the final bill. It's not like there is a flat fee that is charged, it's 4% of the total amount . This was quite off putting bc this is the first time that this extra payment has been added to the final bill. Just a bit tacky policy.
