Island Pursuit is a higher end medium size boutique clothing store located on Main St. in Chatman…read more They have clothes for both men & women here. They have really nice all top brands names & some other local brands people may not be as familiar with. They have pricier items but sometimes they have sale items in here too so look for those. The clothes, colors, & styles reflect the "Living on Cape Cod" theme with nautical styles, & color schemes. Their clothes also reflect activities popular on the Cape like hitting the beach, sailing, boating. They have 5 locations & have been in business since 1983. I bought a great pair of Cool Hurley Boardshorts here at the standard price. Can't wait to wear them. When you walk out of here with a purchase you'll look like a Cape Cod Native instead of a tourist. LOL! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

They initially refused to give a refund, offering a half-credit, and claiming they had sent photos of the item to PayPal in response to a dispute I didn't even initiate. I tried to contact them by phone, chat and email but I got no response, and this was long before the store closed for the day. Today I finally got a reply and was granted a refund, but the agent "Lexi" was extremely rude about it, saying "only so this matter can come to an end." Two hours later she made another rude response to a complaint I had made about the bad customer service at this store. Apparently she is the store's customer service department. She only came across as a bully, and if you have bought something there and are considering returning it for any reason you're better off just keeping it. Thanks to their horrible customer service, I won't be shopping at this store ever again.

I selected 5 items to try on - there were 3 women working in the shop and were standing around talking amongst themselves. Not one of them asked if I needed a fitting room. The main woman behind the counter saw me go into the fitting room. Nobody came to check on me. When I exited the fitting room without the items - the main woman behind the counter sort of looked at me and smiled but said NOTHING. I DID find one item that I would have purchased - a very cute Z Supply dress - but there was NO WAY I was going to purchase it after this experience. I did, however, go online and purchased it to be delivered to my home in California. I liked the brands that this store carries and did like the fact that they offer free alterations but if nobody is there to assist you - then why purchase? I will not be back.

I ease-dropped in on the shop owner chatting with a woman who works at another clothing shop in town and was reminded of how sweet and simple human interaction can be. I felt almost as if I were an extra in a Hallmark film (in a good way, I swear). While the clothes are wonderfully selected and displayed, it was the decor that really blew me away. Browsing The House of Findings is truly an experience as the owner has put such care and attention into selecting the pieces that adorn the shop. From the egg-carton sculpture hanging from the ceiling to the collection of globes overhead as you enter to the ceramic figures scattered throughout, vintage clothing shopping has never felt more fun! If this place were to make it onto tiktok or instagram and start collaborating with local social media influencers then I'm sure they would blow up! While I did not purchase anything today I will certainly be back when I'm in more of a "shopping mood!" Thank you so much for having me!

DO NOT GO HERE! A…read morefew days ago my girlfriend and I visited this store before our Squire lunch date... we bought two charms for my girlfriend's pandora bracelet. The blonde worker outside selling charms told us to go inside to pay for the 2 charms and she will put them on (also told us to trust her, "we don't lose anyone's charms, people tend to trust us")... long story short, we are sent away with 1 of the 2 charms we purchased... AND MISSING A 60 DOLLAR PANDORA "H" CHARM! Ridiculous, the first thing the worker says was "I gave it to you... it was on the bracelet"... clearly not considering we didn't even get the one we purchased here, and we are missing an expensive one that held sentimental value to her. They dilly dallied for 10 minutes before I asked for the manager. The manager was kind enough to give me 50 dollars worth of dollar store charms. Not nearly enough to replace what was so IGNORANTLY lost. Not sure if he was stolen as many peoples names start with the letter "H"... no clue what happened. Let our experience tell you everything you should know about this place. A what should have been 2 minute trip turned into a 45 minute nightmare on our short lived vacation. I'd leave 0 stars if I could!
