We have used Hugh on 3 separate challenges and he has done an exceptional job. The first occasion was a balky computer-- with the various ills of sloth, sluggishness and uncooperativeness that often afflicts computers. He did a great job of getting the computer back in shape-- and it has stayed that way for several months. Then I had an ancient Palm and updated to a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) for my calendering, address book and notes. Over 11 years of my life was on the old machine and I did not want to lose it. All my efforts to transfer data failed. Hugh was able to accomplish that as well as work out several other bugs I experienced in trying to synchronize it with my computer. Finally, I have a rather extensive home entertainment center with several ancient technologies like the old laser disks, various VCR formats, and speaker system as well as TV. After months of trying to get them all working together Hugh was able to get it done-- and we now have glorious sound and the use of technology older than Hugh. I would recommend Hugh without qualification because he's good, prompt, and reasonably priced. He handled all of these technolical challenges cheaper than I pay a plumber to put in a garbage disposal! I called Hugh on a Thursday with a computer crisis and a huge project due for a client on Monday and my computer was not cooperating. Hugh first suggested I try something to see if I could fix it without a cost to my business. I hired Magnolia Tech Support to "lay hands" my new computer. Hugh Turnbaugh was prompt in responding, came to the house and worked some serious magic. I am once again able to compute wirelessly. My backups (currently underway) are functional, the data files from the Quicken program that I was informed (by Apple) could not be imported to the updated program are available and functional. This is the best tech company I've ever worked with. My computer was having serious problems and my McAfee wasn't able to detect the problem. A friend directed me to Hugh at Magnolia Tech Support, who promptly returned my email and gave me a couple options. He offered to set up an appointment to look at my computer. Or, better yet, he suggested I simply go to his website where there are multiple good resources listed. I found Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and downloaded it for free. It promptly found and removed the multiple viruses. Even though he never charged me anything, Hugh followed up several days later to check in and make sure the problem had been fixed. Trusting your computer to Hugh is like having a family doctor for your computer. He makes house calls. He treats all complaints and symptoms seriously even when they turn out not to be serious. My MacBook suddenly didn't want to boot up or do pretty much anything, things were not looking good. Hugh at Magnolia Tech Support was able to diagnose and fix the problem (which turned out to require a new hard drive).
