Poor communication! Rude receptionists/owner. I was running behind schedule I reached out via phone and text message to inform them that I was running behind schedule to see if they can still accommodate me or if I needed to reschedule for another date later in the month and find someone else to do my nails today however, when I called, they failed to answer the phone but immediately text me and said "text please" so I text them to inform them of what was taking place and ask them to give me a simple yes or no. she failed to respond so I continued to call and they did not answer until after the 15 minute grace. when she answered the phone, she was very rude and told me that she would not be able to accommodate me because I was late and that I would have to pay a fee in order to rebook which is completely understandable however, why did you not tell me this 30 minutes ago as I'm driving to your location? Well wouldn't you know it - i made an appointment and they canceled it the same day. I have since found another salon - Atrium Nail & Beauty Garden. They have a very professional online appointment system that also tells you how long each service will take and the costs upfront. This is my absolute favorite nail shop. I've been going here since I discovered it last year. The Women who run and own this business are so fun and down to earth. Their work never disappoints! I remember going to different nail shops and being displeased whether it was the customer service or the treatment on my nails. These woman always take the time to repair my natural Nails and send me off with a gorgeous design. I don't use extensions but their acrylic and hard gel work is amazing as well!!! I really wanted to love this place but for the amount of money I paid and the quality of the work, i can't see myself returning. My first visit was Saturday Oct 26th. First time getting gel extensions, which is similar to press on nails I guess? But apparently are safer for your natural nails versus than acrylic. I left paying $95 for a full set, short coffin, gel polish and a small design. 2 days later, the polish on both of my thumbs began to peel. I sent a text with pictures and I asked to have them fixed. She claimed it because the way our hands lay in dryer, sometimes the light doesn't hit the entire thumb nail. Fair. I went back Friday November 1st and now 3 days later, Monday November 4th. They are peeling again! I've gotten gel manicures over the past 10 years and I rarely ever have this problem. The reason you pay so much more for gel polish is that it is suppose to last and not chip. This place is cute, everyone is nice/friendly but it's way too overpriced for the work they provide. This experience ruined gel extensions for me. I'll probably go back to gel manis or acrylic. read more

Appt at 12:20 w/LINDA....left at 3:10 with my nails done by Katie. She was a nice woman, but I wanted my work done by the person I booked with. There was no explanation, I was just told "sit here". Spent $75 on a fill (no gel) and a pedi. Linda just fixed my nails! I'm happy again Thank you for the quick reply and I'll be booking again! Alright after much deliberation I must re rate Maglin Nails. I received 2 services from the shop, a full set and a fill and they both lifted from the cuticles. It hurt soooo bad, and they weren't even 3 weeks old. I've never had that happen with acrylic, gel polish on natural nails yes. So I have to move on, I'm glad that I gave them a second chance because they're very sweet ppl! read more

Linda is amazing!!! I've been going to her for almost 2 years and I get constant compliments on how good my nails always look. FYI I'm kind of tough on my hands since I'm a hairstylist who does a lot of color and my nails never get stained thanks to her magical gel top coat. Today she really made my day... I lost 2 of my natural nails on my right hand after smashing my fingers over a month ago. I was stressed out because I'm a nail junkie and my hand looked busted. Despite my begging Linda made me wait until it was healthy to put new nails on (which I really appreciate now). Linda gave me tips on how to care for my injured nails and today she was able to do hard gel overlays to make my nails look beautiful again. I have finally found it! This is a small, nondescript salon located in a strip mall, and it does not have the name of the salon on the outside of the door. It is located in the same shopping center as The Game Sport Bar. The salon is only 1 room and 3 women share the space, so they work by appointment only. What I like about Maglin, aside from the professionalism, is that you don't have to deal with the crowds and the noise like a larger nail salon. They take their time and do a phenomenal job. Yesterday was my first time getting my nails done at MagLin. I'm happy to provide them with a 5star review after receiving 5star service. My go to nail lady moved out of the area so I've been looking for a local tech for the times when I'm unable to make the 45 Min drive. Appointment- I was able to get a same day appointment for a full set and pedicure. Service - Although I expected to be serviced by linda I was serviced by Katie who was a great tech as well. She was attentive, friendly and took great care of me. I enjoy being "creative" with my nail designs so I was pleasantly surprised when she knew exactly what I wanted. She took direction very well and made sure I was a happy customer. By the end of the service I had already scheduled my next appointment. The ladies are friendly and immediately made me feel welcome. Location - centrally located near the 405 freeway which is extremely convenient. The space is small but everything is new, modern and posh!! There's free parking in the lot as well as street parking available. The vibe was amazing.... intimate, no drama... nothing like the regular nail shop vibe. Prices - reasonable but slightly more expensive than the nail shops that you you will find on every corner in Los Angeles. However, the quality of products used and services provided overcompensated for the slightly higher prices. I paid almost the same price as my regular nail lady which was much cheaper than similar nail studios/ salons. I'm happy to have found them. I've already recommended them to a few friends. read more

I am a HUGE fan. I have been coming here for several years. I receive dozens of compliments every time. My manicures look amazing for a month, and whenever I break a nail (I'm usually entirely at fault!), it's easy to get it fixed. I would not go anywhere else and highly recommend. A note--they send a confirmation text shortly before your appointment. Make sure you do confirm via that message so that your appointment is not cancelled. I have no problem doing this extra step because I ALWAYS get to start my appointments on time. 2.5 stars While the end result is decent I will not be returning to Mag Lin Nails. Why? you may ask. Let me list the reasons. 1. There is one pedicure chair. When I sat down it and it looked like there was residue from the person before me still in the foot sink area. 2. I prefer for the tools used on me to be a set of the ones that come in the sterilized pack that they open in front of you and is single use. 3. I got a manicure. There was no water involved at all. No little bowl for me to dip my hands in just a couple spritzes of alcohol. 4. The actual paint job on my nails is just ok. On a couples nails she didn't take it all the way to the side of the nail so I can see a bit of nail and the polish on one nail is slightly bubbled. All in all these things aren't huge issues but when my final total is $70 and I leave a $10 tip because I always tip my nails should be flawless. And no I'm not tripping about the price cause I don't mind paying from quality at all but this just wasn't quality. Maybe if I would have gotten a set of acrylics with a door design it would have gone better because that seems to be their specialty. Oh will. read more

I was somewhat happy with my services when I left, even though things weren't perfect while I was there. The ladies in the shop were friendly and on time. It is easy to make appts online. I made my appt online with one person, but once I got there someone else did my pedicure. She only spoke Spanish. My pedicure looked nice, but the designs didn't look like the pictures I showed them. I was still satisfied w/ my pedicure until a few days later when the nail on my right big toe started splitting. A couple of days after that the polish started magically disappearing on several of my other toes. My pedicure didn't last a full 3 days and now it doesn't even look like I had a pedicure less than 2 weeks ago. Was trying to find somewhere closer to where I live, but I will stick to driving a little further so my pedicure can continue to last for at least 3 solid weeks. read more

First thing's first, LINDA IS AMAZING! I have been her client for almost a year and a half. I had gone to one of the locations she used to work at in a frantic because lacque nails played me and I had no idea where I'd get my annual extra poppin birthday nails. So I stumbled upon her old location where they were able to take me and got paired with Linda. Let me just say that she SLAYED my nails. She also educated me on all the harm acrylics do if you leave them on too long. I was so pleased I couldn't go anywhere else. I have been to many salon's before finding Maglin nails 6 months a client now, Maglin knows about Gels and how to actually remove them properly without Acetone which first off make the nails brittle, it takes time to understand a client and they make that attempt straight away, they have a specialty in gel yes they can do what you like such as acrylics, the Artwork is great, they keep up on all the new on nails they spend time on you rather than rush the job even if there running late which usually only happens when THE CLIENT IS LATE, ot takes 2 weeks to get an appointment the reason being THERE GOOD and more of a Boutique 2 to 3 lady's working this is not a large walk in salon which is reflected in the appointment time, pricing yes they are more than the strip mall shops but this come in to play when within the 1st 7 days they gaurantee there work ie a nail breaks or chips they will make it right period!!! Let me start off by saying I will never go to any other nail salon in LA! This place is so amazing. I had my first appointment today with Katie. She was able to remove a horrible set of acrylics I had gotten done else where and she did it so gently. And was even able to put on gel polish. Everyone there really knows their craft very well and give great recommendations. They are by appointment only, which I appreciate, and they don't rush through their clients. Whether you are looking for a regular traditional mani or a full set of amazing designs this place has it. I can not speak on their pedicures yet, but I am very sure they are also amazing. I also very very very much appreciate that they know what they are doing and the quality over quantity really is their focus. I'm so happy I found this place!!
