The nail techs are excellent, but when it comes to practicing cleanliness, there is none. It's filthy, techs reuse their tools with several clients- no cleaning in between and definitely never sanitizing chairs in between as well. Go in with your own risk. read more

So I wasn't going to give this place 5 stars to begin with. If you're looking for a relaxing, luxurious time with cuticle care included, this isn't the place for you. They are definitely rushing to get you in and out, the place is dusty and cramped. BUT, my nails here lasted a full 3 weeks with no lift or breaking, and I work in a labor intensive job where carrying heavy items and carts is necessary. I tried a different salon in vacaville and the difference was immense. My new nails NOT from magic nails broke off and lifted after a week. Even average nails last 2-3 weeks at most with minimum lift. With that being said, this place is the best for last minute or time sensitive appointments where your nails still come out beautiful and last over the average lifespan of acrylics. read more

I'm so disappointed with this establishment. So many events took place that I don't even know where to begin. My mom and dad and I treat ourselves to nail spas every two weeks. We are all diabetic so we get professional pedicure services done was another reason for the service. 1. All three of us were bleeding from the pedicure service by three different pedicurist. 2. My pedicure service painted my toes like a three years old child, coloring my skin around the nail with my own nail polish then goes back to clean up the mess. She did that twice. I assume she's just wants to waste my polish or she's really bad at painting. 3. One of the pedicurist, would not accept "No deluxe pedicure service" 3 times as my response. Extremely pushy. Then, my manicurist, a different person, argued that I had gel on my hands and I said, no. I've never had gel in my life. She proceeds to disagree with me 3 times then retrieved the chemical for gel nail to place my hand in the bowl to soak the gel that I didn't have. Then, she realized she was wrong. Never apologized and just proceed to move on. I asked for store owner/manager and they said there was none on site. They asked why, I told them the above situation and they argued that we weren't bleeding. I said, not now but both my dad and I were bleeding earlier. I will never return and will never recommend this his place. read more

I'm only giving a 1 star review because Angela did a great job my nails. However the customer service in this place is extremely lacking. The first time I went to this place I had Jason who I saw did amazing work I arrived before my appointment time I would say about 10 minutes to give myself some time to pick out my colors almost an hour passes and he's still working on somebody else and I had to speak up or they weren't going to see me. I was going to be extremely late past my appointment time nevertheless I stayed I got my nails done I was really impressed by Jason's work however Jason's customer service sucks. he's rude he was basically throwing a fit because he was upset that the person he was still working on wanted more things done on their nails and he was losing his patience very clear he was upset. I went today and they did a great job I got Angela. again the customer service was terrible it's clear that it's a big inconvenience for them to be working on you at the moment which is fine I'm not going here for the customer service anymore I went because I enjoyed the work and how well my nails turned out only this time I was basically accused of leaving without paying. They provide at the front desk a board where they write their Venmo or cash app their PayPal and at the very bottom is a sharpie written phone number and name that is for Zelle my sister came with me to get a pedicure and a manicure I paid for her pedicure which I included in my amount that I paid them through cash app which I made sure to tell them before I even paid and they said they were on the same page. I paid a total of $90 for my hands and her pedicure plus a tip for Angela she paid the remainder for her nails but she decided to send her portion through Zelle with the information they provided on the board that they have on their front desk she made sure she had the number correct and everything we even showed it to Jason who agreed it is the correct phone number. Mind you the written name next to the Zelle number that they had was almost completely wiped off they didn't even have the courtesy to write the information correctly so that it's visible and then wanted to blame us for not selecting the correct name even though it went to the correct phone number in the correct account and the account that my sister has had the money subtracted so it was clear it went through the transaction clearly said it would take 30 minutes for it to show up in his account I didn't leave the shop for more than five minutes without getting a call from their receptionist or whoever she is basically accusing us of not paying for our service I was going to let the first time go but then I had to call them back and request to speak to whoever owns the shop and I got hung up on. It's a real shame because they have really talented nail technicians but their attitudes are terrible their customer service is terrible and they should really organize their payments a little better because that's at the detriment other customers I need to find a better place to go to that does the same caliber of work but can also provide me better customer service and me not leaving so angry every time I leave my appointment save yourself a headache and find somewhere cleaner with better working and smiling people. read more

First time getting a manicure anywhere. My wife treated me to get my feet done. I was feeling a little nervous but Cindy made me feel comfortable. The place is clean and the workers there are very friendly. The spa chairs looks to be very clean and I had a wonderful foot massage by the powerful jet plus the massage chair felt so good I almost felt asleep while watching TV. My wife had her feet done and it came out perfect, no wonder why she tells me this is her favorite place to go. I give them 5 star for professionalism, cleanliness and the friendly attitude. JASON gave me the worst experience i've ever had in a nail salon. He doesn't care about his clients and does not respect your time. I've been there a handful of times over the years and this was just not it at all. First he changed my appointment from 11:15 am to 11:30 am 20 minutes before my appointment mind you I had work at 1PM. I came in and he's not even done with the client previously. Didn't bother me too much i was seated at 11:40. A customer 2 seats over then complained that her nails did not look good, uneven and just not what she wanted. So Jason decides that he's going to step in for the other nail tech and finish the rest of her nails meanwhile i'm sitting in his chair AND HE HASNT EVEN SPOKEN TO ME YET!! By the time he finishes its already 12:05! MY APPOINTMENT THAT I PAID FOR WAS AT 11:15! He gets to me ready to do my nails and at that point i'm very very annoyed at the situation so the first thing i asked him was if I can get a discount since he wasted an HOUR of my time. He says $100. And i say "is that with the discount already?" He says $5 discount then asks me how much discount i want i said $10 at least. Cause wtf???? As soon as i asked he decided he was just going to cancel my appointment and give me a refund. I said huhhh??? His explanation was that he felt so bad, he can't do nails right now, and that he needs to take a break... and who's fault is that? Not mine wtf so i told him that you can't just cancel on me i've already been here an hour and i'm literally going out of state for my 21st birthday in 2 days. At that point i start having an anxiety attack because I literally did nothing wrong. All I asked for was a discount. I wasn't disrespectful or rude cause I know how it is, but COME ON. I said that he can take a break do whatever but I need to get my nails done. He takes his break and comes back and starts doing my nails like nothing happened meanwhile i'm sitting in his chair crying because i felt completely humiliated. He doesn't even apologize, offer me a tissue, nothing. His client after me gets there, and immediately she's mad because he's not even done with my nails. The crazy thing is that she literally called him when she was getting off the freeway to let him know she's almost there and he did not even have the decency to let her know that he's running super late. She came from BERKELEY. He doesn't apologize to her either. Just cancels her appointment and gave her a refund. After that I decided I was never coming back there again. Literally the worst and i'm sure a lot of people had a similar experience. He ended up giving me a discount i paid and left. Never again. read more

Where do I start! I travel all the way from San Leandro to get my nails done at this place which was recommended by both my sisters who live in this city. I made my appointment online and selected Tom for my pedicure and Jason the owner for my nails. My appointment for my feet was at 2pm and nails at 330. I arrived right on time only to find the person I had an appointment with doing someone else feet. I was a lil irritated because what's the point of scheduling an appointment and leaving a deposit if the person is not ready. They had me sit and wait for about 20 minutes then finally they made a choice to have some young women do my nails. From the start she was moving really slow and appeared to be still in training because she was having trouble. After allowing her to to start my feet I didn't like the way she was doing them and I selected the $45 spa pedicure treatment. I kindly asked if Tom could finish my pedicure when he was done with the lady he was working on and the women said yes. At this point they were speaking in their language and the women kept looking at me so at this point I was like yea they probably talking about me but I ignored it. By now Tom is working on my feet and is doing a great job no complaints. Jason decides to start working on my nails while I'm in the spa chair. I have on all black and he begins to start drilling my nails and all the flakes are landing on me. Any other professional nail shop that I have been to would have draped a towel over your legs so this mess would not happen. I had to ask for one and he seemed to have an attitude about that. Finally we move to the table and I showed him the design I would like him to do. He looks at it and says " This will cost $130" I said that's fine. He is now working on my nails and gets to the part where he needs to start creating the design for my nails. As I watch him work I could tell that this design would be challenging for him but I saw his work so I had faith he could pull it off. 45 mins go by and he is struggling to create the design. He had to start the base of the design over because the products he was using were not working at all. At this point its almost 5pm and a women walks in who has an appointment with Jason at 5. Another 25 mins go by and Jason is still struggling to pull off the design so they have his 5pm appointment get her pedicure first because they see he is no where near done with my nails. By this time he has been working on my nails for almost 2 hours and I definitely was getting restless. So he continues to work on my nails and comes to a point were he thinks he is just about done. I am looking at how sloppy and horrible he is doing the paint so before he thinks he is just gonna add the finishing touches and send me on my way I pointed out several areas that were clearly bad and needed to be fixed before a top coat is applied. I could see he was annoyed at me pointing out these errors so he said with an attitude "let me finish first". I said I don't want you to finish and waste anymore time let me just make this easier on you and just do French tips. Mind you all he would have to do is remove the sloppy color and polish tips. he looked at me and said " No I can not do your nails anymore" I said excuse me? He then goes to try and cut my nails off with the nail trimmer and I yanked my hand back. I said I have been here since 2pm and it is now 550 and you want to cut my nails off because I do not like how my design is turning out. He then says " you just don't want to pay you just want free nails " I said are you kidding me? I was like I drove all the way from San Leandro and you think I am trying to get free nails?? At no point did I EVER say anything about not paying so I was caught totally off guard with his comment. I then told him that this is no way to treat a customer and explained to him that if he was having trouble doing this design as the nail tech he should have said that instead of thinking he was going to do a horrible job and get paid top dollar. I'm furious now not only are you accusing me of complaining about you work to get out of paying you now your talking to me like your crazy and even told me at one point to stop talking like I'm a child or something! When I tell you it took all of me not to go upside this mans head but I held my composure. I told him that if this is how you treat paying customers because you don't want to hear anything negative about your work then you will not be in business for long. Please note at no time was I disrespectful with this weirdo of a owner and he talked to me like I was trying to steal services from him! I Not only will I never go to this place again both my sisters and both my nieces and my mother will no longer go to this shitty shop with horrible customer service! I will make sure that every social media platform knows how Jason the owner of Magic nails in Fairfield CA will treat you if you don't like his work! LADIES FIND A BETTER SHOP!! read more
