As I have had a great experience in the past, this most recent visit was more than awful. It was in particular one nail technician that I will refuse in the future - I wish I would have calmed down enough to have asked for her name. I was returning to the salon to get a rebase on the powder dip nails. I was sat in a station right away. She completely finished. After an hour to finish my nails, I was told that the nail powder was ineffective because she "forgot" what policy was in place when powders are ineffective. Therefore, I was told we had to start the process all over with my nails. When the process was restarted because the powder dip was ineffective, she was in such a rush, that she cut ALL but 2 of my nails on my cuticle beds. For 2 days now, 8 of my fingers have been almost unbearable due to pain. Working in healthcare, it has made my job impossible due to taking gloves on and off and using hand sanitizer all day because it's so painful. Even when I would tell her it was hurting my cuticle beds, she continued to be rough with her tools because she messed up the first time and just wanted to be done with my nails already. On day 3, my 8 fingers are still VERY MUCH so cut up and have made it hard to function they hurt so bad. read more

I came in for a light pink and white tip refill for my acrylic nails. The white is way too narrow, as in it doesn't cover the white part of my natural nail under it. The light pink on my right hand is too thick. The white should only need to be redone every other visit, but will have to be redone in 2 weeks. Very disappointed after spending $45 on a refill. read more

Went in for a gel manicure - no offers on what kind of manicures of were available. A grumpy man worked on my nails - there was nail polish left on my skin all around my nails, hardly got lotion applied after or a hand massage, and was told the color would have looked better if I had longer nails. I usually go to a nail salon that's on my drive home from work, but as a new mom on maternity leave, Magic Nails is closer to home. I took a little mama time to get a new SNS manicure. The nail tech was very friendly. The store was clean and bright, unlike many other nail salons. However, the manicure didn't last long as I had several chips with a few days which doesn't happen at my usual place. Maybe next time I need to ask for a little thicker or three layers (as opposed to two)? As a note, they're also a few dollars more expensive - not a lot, but worth noting. Not a bad option, especially since my preference was to stay close to home. But unless I'm in a pinch, I'll continue to visit my normal salon. read more

I love to give positive reviews because you just don't see enough of them but I can't for this place. I go in for a manicure with dip powder and received service immediately. The gal was annoyed I hadn't picked out a color yet even though she saw me walk in and get walked to her station. They didn't have the color I wanted, no biggie I pick another color. She removes the dark grey I have on but leaves a few spots. The color I picked out a very pale pink so I asked if the grey spots she left would show and she said no. I went along and as she continued it was clear that the grey spots were showing. I asked her to redo those nails and she got very annoyed. I spent 2 hours getting this manicure that did not even include trimming of the cuticles. Needless to say, I think I'll find a different place for my next manicure. read more

I was referred here by other people. I have been here 3 times and each time have had to come back within a week because of chipping due to them using cheap products. I gave my advice on what products work well not to use cheap products but got an attitude instead!! I wouldn't have been as upset, but have had to come back every time for correction. Lesson learned! But would not give them my business EVER again!!! I will also be telling others to find a new place If they go here. When you pay good money for a service you expect quality work. They can't take criticism when you ask for a correction then argue with you because you tell them how to do their job because even the so called CO owner kelly doesn't appear to know what she's doing and has a very tacky and judgmental attitude! Yep I had an attitude right back because I expect quality and profound customer service when I pay for something. As you can see the reviews are not so good. 3 stars don't really cut it with so much competition and much friendlier shops. You don't have to ask me not to come back. Because I won't ever step foot in this shop again. Neither will my family and friends that also spend their hard earned money here. You didn't just lose one customer today, but 5! Have some balls. When someone calls you with a complaint call them back and handle it instead of assuming your family is right! Quite possibly the least relaxing and worst pedicure I've ever had. I was excited about this place as it is new and looked clean, but I don't think I'll be returning. The woman that painted my toes felt very rushed, had to redo a couple nails that she bumped in to or globbed polish on. I paid extra for the salt scrub which lasted all of two seconds. I tried at the end of last week, during their 30% off grand opening special. I went in for gel mani and pedi and when I got there, no one was there so they were able to get me in for the mani right away. Definitely a no frills mani, I don't think he used any cuticle oil or anything, just trimmed nails and cuticles. In terms of polish, he told me their "VIP" brand was better than OPI and the other option they had and took those color books away. He wasn't talkative, which was fine, but the conversation we did have was...awkward. In small talk, I commented on how nice the salon is, and asked if he was an owner. He chuckled and said "do I look like I own this place?" Later, he blurted out that he needed a drink. I get it, Friday afternoon and maybe it was a rough week, so he was going to unwind that night. He then told me how he gets no "weekend" and works 7 days a week, while he drinks every night, sometimes one drink, other times four, and how he used to get up and drink right away in the morning. It didn't give me a huge amount of confidence in him, especially while he was using sharp tools on me. The mani turned out nice, but I've noticed it starting to peel off already, less than a week in to it. I sat back down in the front to wait to be called for my pedi; by then a number of people (also without appointments) came in and put their names on the list. They all got called before I did, because the front desk girl was more concerned getting people into the pedi chairs and not paying attention to her list and who had what completed. She also failed to note how many techs they actually had available. I had to go up to the list to see if she had just crossed me off completely as done (she didn't) before someone said "oh wait, you haven't been seated for your pedi yet?". I then sat in a full row of pedi chairs, soaking my feet until the skin got all wrinkly, about 45 minutes or so, until someone finally was available. I was so irked by then and had to be somewhere else that I had to bypass the pedi. With the 30% off, I was charged $25, although when I checked the price after the fact and calculated it, they rounded up to the nearest dollar. Maybe they'll work out the kinks in service, hopefully soon, but in the meantime, I think I'm sticking with Nail Lounge. read more

if i could give 0 stars, i would. such a bad job they did on my nails. i asked for a light yellow and she pulled out this bright yellow. i asked if there was a lighter one and she pulled out a darker one. i also said i wanted matte 3 times and she gave me shiny. she got the gel polish all over me and was rough. my nails look bumpy and a week grown out and i got them done 20 minutes ago! cant believe i paid 70 for these. read more

I came today and had an absolutely horrible experience. I came for a mani and pedi and left after the mani. I got the dip manicure. The man who did my nails seemed angry and was not gentle at all. I tried to strike up a little chit chat and it was very clear that he didn't want to chat at all. He was rough with my hands and even drilled my cuticles. He didn't explain why he was using a drill for a dip manicure. I understood using the drill to remove old dip color, but not on my cuticles or on my nails once he completed the dip. When I inquired, he was very agitated. I paid for a miserable experience and left with powder on my hands. My fingers also felt sore from all of the drilling. I wasn't asked to wash my hands and no lotion or anything was done that a typical manicure entails. I ended up finding a different nail place to get a pedicure and they finished my manicure. I will never go back. I considered asking for my money back, but I don't ever want to walk in there again. read more

The salon is beautiful. So happy to have a place close to my home, however every time I ask to be scheduled with the person I had seen for the last visit, they are no longer there. The last time I was here there were two men working, they kept going out the back door to smoke cigarettes...the smoke smell came inside and it was very strong, not a relaxing experience. Several of the workers don't look professional, nails are in bad shape and the person that did my nails had very dirty greasy hair. The salon is very nice, your staff needs to look as clean and professional as your salon...and it needs to smell good~ read more

Horrible customer service, rude and will never go back. They use cheap product lifts and breaks. When I ask for fix I was givin $20 back and told to find a new nail shop. Horrible,rude and expensive. Dont east your money. Over $40 for a rebase and to get treated like that!!! Iv heard several people complain about their nails and customer service. They recently put up a sign right to refuse because they are getting so MN any people complaing. All they do is laugh and refuse to fix or refund. Will never go back and will never refer. No frills pedicure. The guy doing it kept leaving during the pedicure to go out back and smoke. Coming back in smelling of smoke with dirty hands. Opi infinite shine polish used but not the special base and top coat that goes with it so it chipped after two days. I won't be going back. read more
