I came to Lubbock for a wedding, and was unable to go to my regular nail salon,l. Magic was close by so I went there for a manicure to have my shellack redone. The shaping wasn't done the way I had requested, she also did a poor job of making the French tips even on each nail, leaving one side longer than the other. Instead of just cleaning up my cuticles, she trimmed too much skin around my nail bed and left it pretty dry and rough looking. Not even 2 hours after leaving, air bubbles showed up on every nail... The shop was nice enough, clean and comfortable, but I would not spend my money there again... Over all a messy job. If you asked me a couple months ago I would have recommended them without hesitation. But all of their good nail techs left. I decided to still give them a chance but the last fill I got, the nails started coming off before the three week mark. The set I have on now started falling off after a week and a half. I went and got the nail fixed and two days later, three more fell off... it hasnt even been two weeks yet. I was upset when I went because a fill is $40. What the heck am I paying $40 for at this point. They were going to fix it but at this point I wanted them all redone because I could feel that a couple others were loose. I used to be able to go three to four weeks without needing a fill. Then the guy was like they are only supposed to last two weeks. Like no, they should be able to last longer than that. After their terrible customer service I wanted them just taken off and he was trying to charge me $10 to take off their mistake. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have been going their for 8 months but since their best people left, and the terrible service I received the last two times I went, I will NOT be returning and i hope yall read this before going there. read more

This nail salon is kinda small in a little shopping center so it's a little hard to find. Wendy is the best nail tech I've found in Lubbock! She is also very sweet and makes conversation. She does an amazing job getting my nails even and also they always last until my next appt. read more

I went in because of the good reviews... ive always heard if a place is empty its for a reason. They were very nice but my nails are already lifting its only been a week, she didnt seem like she knew exactly what she was doing and when i noticed one of my nails was off to the side covering some of the skin on my thumb i told her about it and she said "yeah yeah i'm not done yet" and half-ass fixed the nail. i wont be coming back... but it isnt the worst ive gotten for $40 read more

i've been getting acrylics for probably 5 or so years, and this is by far the worst place i've ever gotten my nails done. every set of acrylics i had broken within the week of getting them done, then i decided to try to do a regular shellac manicure and even still, same day, the color chipped. beyond frustrating spending $60+ on fake nails and $35 for shellac, just to have to get them redone a few days later. also went into have fake nails removed, took the lady almost an hour to get them off before someone else had to step in and take them off, then charged me $10????? absolutely ridiculous read more

Run far away from this place - or maybe it was just the woman who was assigned to me. From the time I walked in, I probably had to say I wanted a mani/pedi at least 15 times. And had to say regular mani at least 10 times. Lady: "You want dipped?" Me: "no, regular./basic." Lady: "you want shellac?" Me: "no, regular/basic." This went on. The pedicure was so bad and the fact that they kept asking me over and over what I wanted that I had to leave and forgo the manicure. Probably best to skip this place all together if you're looking for a clean, relaxing and professional place. read more

The staff here is super friendly. I got dip powder on my fingers and shellac on my toes. The man did a great job on both. Exactly how I like them, I would not change a thing (and mind you, I'm SUPER picky). I can't remember time I've been happier with my fingernails. While I was getting my toes painted a woman massaged my hands, arms, neck and shoulders. It was awesome! The salon itself is clean and tidy. Price wise this salon is a lot cheaper. My dip and shellac (no pedicure) were $50. I'm used to paying $50 for dip only so that was refreshing. Overall I definitely recommend this salon. read more

I was looking for a new nail place that was close to my home. I was browsing nail salons and this place was suggested so I decided to try it out. I was greeted promptly upon entering and told the lady I wanted shellac. She handed me samples of the huge variety of nail colors that the offered. I kind of had a hard time picking because there were so many different shades of red! After about five minutes of picking and choosing I finally picked a classic red and what I thought was a blue (turns out it is kind of a glittery purple). I also asked for a star on my index finger, which she did a great job on! I am very pleased with my nails! She soaked my cuticles, trimmed them, and filed my nails before painting them. After the shellac hardened, she massaged my arms and moisturized them. The prices here are pretty much what you would expect at other places. I paid $30 for my shellac manicure. I will definitely return not only because of their hospitality (nice family owned place and they offer your drinks) and location, but also because I love their work! read more

Best pedicure I have ever had! The staff was very welcoming and kind. The interior itself was highly clean and very comfortable. I got the green tea pedicure which is a bit pricy at $40 but man was it worth it, the lady who helped me was very gentle and gave the most amazing massage and as a tired pregnant lady it was all I needed. I really do like this place. I just went in for the first time today, and it was very slow, the day before Easter, so I was concerned, but I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did. I was greeted promptly and with a smile. I told them I wanted the gel nails and they let me pick fro what had to be over a hundred color options they had available in the gel nails. So I'm super particular about my nails. I typically can work through the language barrier to get what I typically get done on my nails, however, not here. The stylist thinned my nails after months of making them strong and then began doing the total opposite of what I had requested. (Had she listened all I needed was a fill and color change to what I already had and she removed everything). I tried the dip powder as a compromise since she wasn't understanding and they turned out incredibly rough and not what I wanted. I also got my eye brows waxed and I had to keep asking the girl to go back and get the very visible missed hair. On the bright side the salon is very clean and the people are nice. If you go in here you need to be VERY specific in what you are requesting and no the process in how it's done. read more

I wanted to give this place a good review, but after the service I received I'll never go back. I walked in and the lady asked me what I needed done today and I told her a manicure and a pedicure. I don't know how many times I told the person doing my nails that I wanted a French manicure. She didn't really understand what that was and I told her countless times that I wanted the white tips and even pointed to a picture they have hanging in their store of exactly what I wanted. She said something along the lines of okay, we can do shellac and give you that. So they start on my pedicure and another guy is doing the shellac on my nails at the same time. I wasn't particularly found of that but if that's how they do things than fine. I understand some people are in a hurry. The lady doing my pedicure did a good job. I only wish she would have gotten all of the dead skin off of my feet instead of leaving most of it still on there. So my issue really wasn't with the pedicure. I had never had shellac before that day so I didn't know what to expect. And constantly through the process I reminded the man doing my nails that I wanted french like nails with the white tip so I wouldn't have to look at my natural nails. I said it over and over because all the man is doing was paining my nails in a clear coat and didn't seem to understand what I was telling him! So just when I think he's going to go get something to make them look like I want, he announces he's done and they look great. Um, what? No they don't!! I could have done this at home with my own stuff! But of course I'm not going to be a raging jerk and tell him that. I have never been so frustrated with a nail salon before this place. The pedicure lasted a long while but my shellac chipped in the SAME DAY. And I'm not digging trenches or playing in quarries, so nails chipping in the same day when they are suppose to last a heck of a lot longer than that is just sickening. I came here because it was close to campus and a couple of my friends go every now and then. After, my nails weren't even. My gel chipped after 4 days and I didn't do anything that would make them chip easily. I've been to places where the gel lasts at least 2 weeks. I'd expect it to last at least a week or more for the money I paid. I also had fake tips put on a few nails because I had broken them and wanted them to be longer looking. She put them on crooked and the glue was sticking out all over the place even after they let me go home. Pretty disappointed. Won't go here again for that waste of time and money. read more

The male nail technician was not trained - the nails were sloppy, but worst of all, he was extremely rough and left 9 of my ten fingers bleeding and painfully sore. One is infected and swollen with puss. I showed the owner my fingers and she was very concerned and apologetic, but only asked me to please come back after charging me for this horrific experience and terrible nail job. Worst acrylics I've ever received. The shape was terrible I asked for a narrow square nailI and ended up with a lopsided oval shape. The nails are already lifting and I just got them 5 days ago. The whole time the man is applying the acrylics he is bragging about how he can make the nails so thin because he has a special kind of acrylic powder yet you leave with chunky, blocky nails. read more
