My girlfriend and I moved from an apartment into a townhouse and we really did not know who to turn to when hiring movers. We searched the internet and got quotes from multiple places (all of which seemed awfully expensive for such a small move) until finally we came across Magic Movers. I called and was given a quote that was BY FAR the cheapest option and there was availability on the day that we needed. We paid the deposit and booked our move. On the morning of the move I received a phone call exactly 30 minutes prior to arrival and they arrived at 8:00 AM on the dot (agreed start time). Ken and Juan introduced themselves, took a quick look at the task at end, and immediately went to work. Both of these guys were extremely professional, friendly, and unbelievably detail oriented. They dealt with our belongings with extreme care and if they were unsure about anything they made sure to ask and did not assume anything. They even went above and beyond by helping me take my TV mount off of the wall and assisted me in putting it back on the stand (TV is too heavy for my to do on my own). When we arrived at the townhouse everything was unloaded and set up in the blink of an eye. Ken and Juan's teamwork and coordination is second to none and is a key contributor to their efficiency. If you are in the market for movers in the Atlanta area, I do not know why you would consider anyone else. You are getting top notch service at a MUCH cheaper rate than anywhere else. I just wanna give a big special shoutout to Juan and Ken for being extremely efficient in helping me move. They came prepared with tools and supplies to help us with a speedy move-out. Customer service was 11/10. From the movers to the call center, everything was extremely professional. The most important part too: I called 5+ companies to check rates and they were by FAR the cheapest. I had a 5 hour move and I saved a couple hundreds. I used Magic Movers twice while I lived in Atlanta and had an overwhelmingly positive experience both times. The first time was to unpack a U Pack cube south of the city, load it into their truck, and deliver it to my apartment in Midtown. The second time was to take my stuff from my Midtown apartment and pack it into a PODS container in East Point. Both times, the crew arrived on time and worked efficiently to pack or unpack my belongings. Friendly and straightforward. None of my items were damaged, and they took care not to damage the walls/door frames of my place. The few items I had that weren't yet boxed they wrapped for me. What I particularly appreciated about Tim and his crew is their knowledge of Atlanta and willingness to deal with its difficulties. My place in Midtown was a bit of a nightmare moving wise: it had no loading dock or area, so moving in and out required double parking a truck to load on a major street. Both times the crews were unfazed by this. When they moved me out, they started the job at 6 AM (something I was hoping would happen) so as to work at a low traffic time. I waited to write this review until my PODS container was delivered so that I could assess Magic Movers' packing skills. I can confidently say: Tim and his crew know how to pack a container! They packed my POD incredibly well--which in this case means incredibly tightly. I really don't think anything moved in transit. Tim and his crew also did me a huge solid when they packed my container. 1.) They lined the floor with scrap cardboard they had so that the bottom of my furniture wouldn't scrape against the floor. 2.) They used (and thus essentially gave me) one of their empty, industrial sized cardboard boxes to fill up empty space that was in the container after they packed it. This did a lot to keep objects from moving around in transport. Great movers all around. I recommend them highly. read more

this is the worst company in Atlanta. took almost 5 hours to move a one bedroom and I helped them unpack. then realized a box of expensive stuff. is missing. the only box and yet they take no responsibility for thos. they steal your stuff and then offer .60 a pound. Great moving experience! My husband and I wanted help moving our beds and heavy furniture to our new home. They wrapped the mattresses and efficiently moved heavy standing desks, heavy boxes, mattress springs, King and queen size mattresses and the bed frames. If I could give negative stars I would. I received a moving quote that was far lower than I paid because I was told the company charges extra for stairs, which I informed the moving company of prior to booking. The movers then took an additional hour wrapping furniture. Don't use this company. Edit: the reply listed by the company speaks to the unprofessionalism they establish. The day of my move it was schedule to rain. The movers stated that they had to wrap furniture due to the impending rain. I had boxes of items that I had packed myself. One of the workers had an attitude because I was moving to the second floor. I expressed that when I scheduled the move. THEN, to add insult to injury, they tried to quote my friend $500 for her move because she was in a townhouse. So 1) my house was/is not filthy but was filled with boxes because what else do you use to move? And 2) the move shouldn't have taken 4 hours to complete given that I was moving less than a mile away from my original home. I repeat: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Anyone who takes the time to insult a customer by implying their home is filthy when they are moving (what house is in order during a move?) instead of finding a way to rectify for future customers does not deserve your business. And lastly, your workers didn't wear gloves that day. In short, YOU TRIED IT. read more

They cancelled my interstate move 8 days before they were due to show up and begin packing the truck citing a sick crew. I had already paid my full balance three weeks before and received zero indication ahead of time that there was even the potential for issue. I was forced to find alternate movers last minute and also extend my lease - both of which cost a good deal of money. I would not trust this company to do what they say they are going to do, even if you've already paid. They did fully refund my money but at that point there was no availability at other companies on the timeline we needed. read more

These guys are the best! My family is former military and we have had more than our fair share of moving. Tim and his team were professional, courteous, punctual and very respectful of our time and our home (and hardwood floors). On the front end they took great care while disassembling, wrapping and moving my furniture; and took the same level of care when unwrapping and reassembling on the back end. Not only did they get the job done, but the guys were very pleasant to work with also. They asked very politely where things went if they were unsure, and didn't seem aggravated moving our heavy furniture and elliptical machine up and down the stairs in our old and new home. These are the best movers in the metro Atlanta area! We have worked with Tim, Magic Movers ATL, twice over the past six months and he is a professional from the first call to my call today. I originally worked with Tim on a small move from our house to a storage unit before we put our house up for sale. The second move was after the close of the sale which was more complicated because we identified some items for storage and others for our new home. His team worked tirelessly for two days and multiple trips. A neighbor interviewed Tim and two other movers and Tim got the job!
