Got a Large bbq chicken pizza today on Labor Day for take out. THE MOST INCREDIBLE pizza crust I've had in north Orange County. My mom has been an incredible baker my whole life so I have high standards and this one surpassed my expectations. The crust was crunchy but not dry at all. Usually pizza crust is soft by the time you get to the last pieces but this stayed consistent and not soggy throughout eating it. This is my go to when I go to the beach now. Absolutely incredible. Some of the best pizza I've had in a while! And the customer service was fantastic. As for the pizzas, we got the veggie and the teriyaki. Have you heard of a teriyaki pizza before? So tasty! The veggie one was also stellar, with lots of toppings. On the side we got their cottage fries and they were delicious, probably my new favorite way to fry! We live across the street from Magic Mike's and this was our first time. We called 4 minutes before closing and realized it when we were on the phone. The guy on the phone reassured us it was no big deal, that we could place the order. I just started to work part time at the billiards store behind Magic Mikes Pizza (MMP) I just sold a pool table so I decided to get something as a treat for lunch. I went to their back door and the nice young lady took my "order." My order was "give me anything, I'm not picky." She wasn't at all flustered, showing true excellence, menu confidence and professionalism. Since I'm ten steps away and can't leave my store, they hand delivered it to me. I know properly prepared food. I got the Supreme Pizza and it is supreme. Perfect amount of flavorful toppings, but unlike other pizza places, they put just the right amount of everything. Too much vegatables and the crust would be soggy. Too little of anything, not enough flavor and the crust could be overcooked. Properly prepared, fresh ingrdients and balanced flavor is what I'm looking for and got at MMP. Thank you! PS. I know when they have events, their sound system ROCKS (I dig feeling the bass in my chest), too. And don't go to the back door, that was my bad. Go in the front door like a proper customer. The pizza and overall vibe of the place was fine. I was overcharged on my order(they charged me for a cheese pizza which I didn't get or but didn't notice until my wife was paying the credit card bill. I called to speak with the owner Mike about the issue and left two messages and was told he would call me back and he never did. That was really disappointing. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. The owner reached out to me, apologized for the issue and offered to make it right. I am a little confused by the 4 stars on this restaurant. Although it is a little place in my hood and no...it doesn't have men dancing on the tables it was just a so-so kind of place. If I never go back I don't think I would miss it at all. The pizza was meh and the soda machine with diet soda was out and I don't even want to talk about the fact that someone parked a motorcycle on the platform stage which would probably bring the health inspector running in if they knew about it. I felt like I was eating pizza in a garage! No, I will probably not go back - there are sooo many nice pizza joints out there that there is just no need to waste money on unappealing pizza. We just had my son's birthday celebrated here last weekend after a few hours of ice skating, and I have to say that I was totally impressed. They let us reserve the patio which helped because we had a large group and the food was great! The best part though, was the staff and the owner himself. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to make sure that everything was going well. They were very personable and attentive, and we appreciated the feeling of hominess. We've all agreed that this will be our new go-to pizza place! The décor was also great and modern - it was very cool. They also made a heart pizza for my son- which was great because he was born with a heart defect and has a few open heart surgeries, so that made his birthday extra special!
