I got one of the specials, a 70 minute full body massage for $45, which is an unbeatable price. Amanda was thorough and firm, but checked in periodically to make sure the pressure was good. The massage started the way I'm used to, a little bit of lotion and relaxing pressure. Once she got to my feet, I realized how strong she was, as she really got into areas that needed it. She continued with the very deep massage, finishing with a long stretch of oil massage, which worked into the muscles of my back. I left completely relaxed and the pain in my back is already subsiding. Because of the deep tissue work, I'm anticipating feeling even better in a couple days. A couple caveats that shouldn't stop you from going: I called in for an appointment, and the woman on the phone spoke limited English we had some trouble establishing the time. In the confusion, I went in for an appointment at 10 am, but the massage therapist wasn't available until 10:30 or so. I wasn't in a rush, so it wasn't a big deal, and next time I'll try a little harder to pin down the time. Another issue caused by language differences is that Cindy, the other masseuse, has more trouble understanding client requests, which a friend reported after going here and having a massage that wasn't what she hoped for. I recommend asking for Amanda to make sure that you get the experience that you want. They take appointments and walk-ins, and offer a range of services from full-body massage to foot massages, hot stone, Swedish massage, and some other things I don't remember. She did not ask for tip up front like the other girls do, so I asked her to run my card again for a tip afterward. (I really don't like that the other staff want their tip up front! Eventually she retrieved some hot stones, but she rubbed them roughly across every surface, including my ankle bones, which hurt. Two ladies were upfront, one therapist and a front desk worker. They had no therapist available at the time and this was approx. 2pm. I told them I would continue to look for a place who could get me in immediately as my back was killing me. The front desk worker said, well we have a 5:20 pm spot. She said well do you want to book it just in case. I said sure. She said "we ask for a credit card on file, just in case you are a no show, we charge you". I said that make sense. I left and the next place I stopped said they could get me in immediately. I wrote the Xpress location in Keller right away to cancel. I received a response that said the appointment had been cancelled. Two days later I see a charge for over 50 dollars. I called the credit card company that I used, who refunded the money immediately because I have the cancellation text. I then called the facility who said that this is common practice, and their policy is that if you cancel or NO SHOW, you will be charged. Can you imagine this with any other service? I would like dinner at a nice restaurant but then you cancelled it and get charged for what you would have eaten. Or how about a car. I was going to buy a car but changed my mind and they still charged you for the car you should have bought, so that the salesman makes money. This is insanity and I will never be back to this location every again! I would caution you as well. This policy was never conveyed to me and the girl I spoke with on the phone said "oh she probably forgot". Umm yea because why would I ever agree to pay for a probable service? Horrible business. Here's what happened with our experience: * We purchased a couples massage via Groupon and never received initial communication from the therapist. * After contacting Groupon, she finally texted us on 9/24/24, offering an appointment for October 17th at 10:00 AM. We agreed and provided the requested email and Groupon confirmation. * After this, we received no further communication, and no address was given. The only question we received was whether we preferred Fort Worth or Southlake. We chose Fort Worth. * On the day of our appointment, we drove to both Google-listed locations: Phoenix Salon and Ridglea Renaissance. At Phoenix Salon, they indicated that she should no longer have any association with them, which was a major red flag. The other address led to a business suite (208) that was occupied by a different company. * When she finally returned our call, she admitted to forgetting to send a confirmation email and said, "I must have forgotten and never confirmed it, so it was never on my schedule." If her policy requires email confirmations, that should be clearly communicated in texts. We assumed our appointment was booked based on the conversation. Now, we are in the process of disputing this with Groupon to get a refund. I did not block out her number on text exchange due to it being the same as the business card number.
