This review is for Eli. I arrived home at 6:45pm to find that my deadbolt was working, but my door handle had stopped worked - I was locked out. Searched Yelp, called Magic Key Locksmith and got Eli on the fourth ring. He told me he'd be at my place in 25 minutes. At 7:15pm he was working on my door handle. It turned out that the guts of my door handle had broken apart after years of use, so it took some creative work for him to get the door open for me. Once inside, Eli repaired the door handle hardware and tested the operation. While testing the door handle repair, Eli noticed that the opening for the deadbolt was out of alignment, which was causing me and my fiance to pull extra hard on the door handle over the years and resulting in the broken handle guts. After one more trip to his van, Eli had widened the deadbolt opening to fix the real problem and cleaned up after himself - it was only 8pm. Eli could have left after repairing the guts and probably had me as a return client a few months from now after the door handle broke again, but he made sure the job was done right the first time. Great experience and I recommend calling these guys next time you're in a pinch! read more

Out of habit, I locked my door on the way out. The only problem was, I didn't have my house keys with me before I locked it. Use the spare you say? Well, the spare was also in the house because I was too lazy to put it back where it was suppose to be. In comes Magic Key Locksmith! I couldn't be more thankful for the service I received from Magic Key Locksmith today! I lost the keys to my car and after searching everywhere I gave up and called AAA to discuss my options. Each representative told me I'd have to wait until the following day to have a key made at a Kia dealership! I was so sad and since I live two hours away I couldn't spare an extra night in San Jose. Luckily I found Magic Key! After giving them a call and discussing a few details about my car, they were able to meet me 15 minutes later! They made a key for my car, and offered me another for a spare for really cheap. I locked myself out of my place at 11pm at night, but Eli was able to, not only drive to my place (25 minutes away), but quickly got me in! I was so happy that he could unlock the door without having to drill the lock. It turned out that my lock was damaged anyway so he came back and fixed that for me, too, the following week after he ordered/received the new lock. My roommate and I had been entering/leaving our townhome through the garage for the last few days because our front door was mysteriously jammed (we couldn't open or close it). I had tried calling Express El Camino Locksmith twice because of the good reviews but nobody ever picked up or returned my call. I also dropped by Mountain View Lock & Safe Co in person but the earliest they could send someone was Dec 6. That was ridiculous so I ended up calling Magic Key. I needed to break the lock off my storage unit today after realizing that I lost the key. I had to get my locks changed and also install an electronic keypad lock on my entry door. I called several locksmiths but they were hesitant as the job was too complicated. Then i got Magic key locksmith and Eli worked like Magic. I called him at 6 PM and he was kind enough to accommodate me the same day. Eli showed up right in time and was done in no time. He was extremely confident, had all the right tools and did a great job. My door was also jamming earlier and that got fixed too. I shopped around a lot of locksmiths (around 6).
