I've visited Magic Cup twice and the experience has been great! The buristas were very friendly and helpful in guiding me on my drink selection. I've tried two fruity drinks, Strawberry Peach tea and Tropical Paradise, as well as the Voodoo Chicken. The teas were consistently delicious and fruity with a good level of sweetness. The Voodoo Chicken was quite delicious, it was a bit different than other asian pop corn chicken that I've experienced. It has different kind of flavoring but I quite enjoyed it. It wasn't the typical white pepper with basil. I'm not quite sure what the flavoring is but I would definitely order it again. I got a small size and it came with a satisfying amount of pieces. Let me tell you guys why I think this place is magical. Compared to most boba places this venue uses REAL fruits and not that powder crap that most magicians use when they go poof. I've always wanted to make my first yelp review a positive one and this was the perfect place to make it. I happened to stumble across this grand opening and was pleased to see a clean beautifully designed tea coffee and smoothie joint. You are greeted with a wave of friendly smiles when you walk in and it was followed by a staff that was more than willing to answer any questions involving their unique and fun menu. My sisters and I got specialty coffee and teas and they were all delicious. We got hungry and decided to splurge and got one of all the snacks and they were AMAZING. I came here with a few friends recently and really enjoyed my experience. I ordered a Strawberry Peach Tea (delicious!) and then we shared an order of the voodoo chicken (popcorn chicken), the magic puffs (mini beignets), and a few of the baked goodies. First, my Strawberry Peach Tea was delicious! It wasn't too bitter or too sweet, just right! And there were chunks of strawberries and peaches, not too big that they couldn't fit in the straw, so you got to enjoy the tea with the fruit. Next, the voodoo chicken (we got ours moderately spicy) and the magic puffs (you can even order sauces with these! We got chocolate but white chocolate and caramel are also available.) were a perfect snack to share on a Friday afternoon after a long work week. Magic Cup is one of my favorite boba places because not only do they have the typical boba drinks, they also have fruit drinks. I got their Cha-Watermelon and it was amazing. My drink was finely pureed watermelon with the chaca-chaca tamirando candy pieces in the drink and the straw is covered with that as well. Never written a review before but since I've been to this place almost everyday on my way to work and home I felt the need to voice my opinion. Being close to home I've had to chance to get coffee and almost every category they have to offer. This place provides a great experience, their concept definitely differentiates themselves from the rest of coffee shop and boba places I've been too. They offer best of both worlds! Where can you go to get fresh roasted coffee beans at 7am straight from the grinder and extracted into your latte and cup of fresh fruit tea or fusion tea being made all at the same time all under one roof. The staff here are extremely friendly. very accommodating, as you walk in ur immediately a greeted with a warm welcome "hello! Welcome to magic cup" kinda like those cool Japanese and Korean places. I've been a Starbucks follower for a very long time after a few opportunities to be at a coffee convention I've learn what third wave coffee offers, since then my marriage to Starbucks has split as I learned to appreciate coffee in a different way. Try their double restretto, tody cold brew or latte with an order of magic puffs as they go great together. If have an appreciation for coffee you'll know what I mean. Cha Mango...... This place is quickly becoming an addiction for me. First off-its a bit difficult to find any guava flavored thing made with ACTUAL guava. So the guava slushie/Cha guava is a day maker for me. They use fresh fruit and even display a display case of fruit near the check out. The lavender latte is fantastic for those who are into such things. First time today! I like this location, the inside as well as the friendly staff. There are plenty of plugs for study sessions with two person tables, a nice patio as well. The four stars is because of the milk tea-it's too watery/ over sugary& the milk isn't that strong. However I haven't tried any of their other drinks! They have fruit cups available for purchase as well as other snacks. Props for having a healthy option! This spot is really clean- you can tell the employees really take care of it. I have mixed feelings about this place. I can't tell if I like it or if I am kind of eh with it. There are days that the drink I ordered are just right, then I get it again another day and it wasn't good? I guess you could say this place is a tad inconsistent in my opinion, but its not as bad as other places. The staff and the owner are SUPER nice though! and their shirts are adorbs! I love how they use fresh tea and fresh fruits in their cha-mango or cha-any fruit slush haha. The decor and the atmosphere is like most boba places, its a great place to catch up with some friends or to study. Another day, another boba shop to try out. These things are really starting to come back. New ones are popping up all around the metroplex! The customer service here is outstanding. I'm generally one of those annoying people who ask a million questions before placing my order and the cashier here not only answered all of my million and one questions, he SUGGESTED that I have samples of the drinks... WHATTT?? Motivating me to ask even more questions?? Plus a few stars! I got the milk tea (no boba as I'm not a big fan), and really liked it. What was the cherry on top was the fact that all the milk teas are made from freshly brewed tea, and NOT from powder. My fiance got the fancy mango drink which I was able to steal a sip, it was sweet, and tangy all at the same time. What a potentially perfect hot summer drink! Now the ultimate question .... is this place better than my beloved Fat Straws?? I'm actually addicted to this place. I've went there everyday this week, except yesterday because I felt like I was wasting so much money on boba. But I ordered two today, so... I'm even drinking their milk tea as I write this review! Generally, I'm a fan of sweet milk tea. Their milk tea isn't as sweet as other boba shops, but for some reason I still find myself dreaming about theirs. The avocado smoothie is to die for! Very creamy & sweet. Magic cup is the only place I'll get tapioca pearls. It has a nice texture -- soft on the outside and a little firm on the inside. They even have a sweet taste to it!! All the other pearls I've tried were either too bland or too firm. The snacks here are enjoyable as well. I've only tried their voodoo chicken (basically chicken nuggets) and the asian garlic wings and they are oh so yummy. Whether it be for studying or to hang out, this is definitely my go to spot. I'd give this place 5 stars, but due to their expensive prices (in my opinion) I bumped it down to 4. read more

Update from 2nd visit: we tried magic cup milk tea (cuz of Monday milk tea special for a dollar off) and sweet calamari... Calamari tasted good. However, portion could have been a little more for its price. Food came out hot. We liked the sweet sauce that came with the dish. Their original milk tea was a little water down... I was expecting a richer taste from the milk and stronger tea flavor. My sis got the jasmine milk tea, and she liked it. Boba was chewy, and egg pudding actually had egg taste. So that was a plus. This visit has actually reduced a star. _____ My sister and I were in town and were searching for a boba place and this place came up. I personally loved the aesthetic of the store. It's very open and has an urban feel to it. It is a great place to stick around to study or chill. We got avocado smoothie and passion blast for drinks, voodoo chicken and kimchi fries for snacks. The drinks were exceptionally good. Avocado smoothie has a very rich avocado flavor to it. Passion Blast is my absolute favorite. The passion seeds they added to the drink gave it a crunchy texture when you consume the drink. They also include different jellies in the drink. Hands down! Their kimchi fries and voodoo chicken aka popcorn chicken are so good. They are not oily nor salty. Chicken is not overly seasoned. It has thin batter but still crispy. For our fries, we added an extra sunny side up egg for 75¢. The fries, sauce ( sriracha + mayonnaise, I think), and kimchi were mixed well to the taste. Overall, we think the drinks were great, but the foods were a bit over priced, in our opinion. But we totally RECOMMEND the place. Give it a try! read more

Amazingggggg bubble tea with super soft, chewy tapioca pearls! We ordered taro bubble tea, thai milk bubble tea, and classic bubble tea with grass jelly. All of them were yummy! In my opinion, the beverages tasted like legit real tea, whereas other places might be made from powder from. My reasoning? The bubble-teas weren't overly sweet. I felt like I tasted the natural taste of the tea, which makes me a happy customer! If I lived in Dallas, I would be a regular! The decor is nice, speedy service, and the bubble tea is delicious. I didn't try the food, but I hope to come back one more time before my vacay ends. They don't have bubbletea in Germany, so this will be my fix until I go back. read more

Magic Cup has great selections that can both be healthy and tasty. I've seen Tea Shops with less options for sure, there's so many here. Most parts of the menu are easily understood and ordering is a matter of reasoning what you want together.
