Awesome, Awesome, Awesome place!!! SERVICE 5/5; quick, thorough, and accommodating. I went with my fiancé last week and they mixed up coffee for coconut milk tea and they quickly made my coconut milk tea and we got to keep the coffee! These guys have good service, a lot of the staff are young but that doesn't take away from their great customer service and sincere attitude. DRINKS/FOOD 4/5: so far I've tried the following -winter melon milk tea 1/2 sugar with tapioca 5/5 -winter melon tea half sugar =5/5 -winter melon tea half sugar with sea foam =0/5 -matcha green tea half sugar = 4/5 -passion fruit lime drink = 3/5 -house mil tea 1/2 sugar = 5/5 -coconut milk tea half sugar =5/5 -avocado smoothie half sugar =2/5 -Breakfast burrito $3.50 =4/5 Overall great drinks, you have the ability to heavily customize your drinks. I think I went wrong with the avocado and melon tea with sea foam by asking for half sugar, their drinks are super tasty in general. I also never cared for tapioca balls, because it gets in the way of a good drink BUT theirs are so soft and chewy. BEST tapioca on Bellaire!!!! Great breakfast burrito, only reason why I gave it 4/5 is that I wanted more! It has eggs and bacon with green onion, simply delicious! Which they made it even bigger. Tip : Sign up for a rewards membership, and you can even check your point statuses as well. I've received almost 1 free drink for every visit I've made. They even hand write " have a Magical day :)". These guys are just GREAT AMBIENCE 4/5: formerly a churches fried chicken stand alone location, you can see how it once was a fast food space based on the location and th building size and structure. however it's been completely overhauled and remodeled. the interior is good looking, sleek, with black floors that is contrasted with white table tops, counters and chairs. The black Is a little dark for my eyes but hey, it's a cool vibe. A lot of young kids hang out here, and you do see some families, couples, and older folks. My dad did comment the crowd was rather young for him. There's also a front patio with umbrellas and chairs, which is great during the night time. The area itself is a little sketch since I've seen a few cars pull up on more than one occasion asking for money from the patrons who were headed to their cars, but there's typically a security guy whose nearby. LOVE this place, great tapioca, great food , good rewards program, Great staff! read more

My first encounter with Magic Cup was in Dallas. I was pretty excited when I had found out that they opened one up in Houston. The only disappointing thing is it's kind of a drive on the side of Chinatown that I typically don't go to so when I do go...I go with the intention of getting my cha-watermelon drink. ( watermelon juice+ chamoy). It's a great item to order esp during the summer time or whenever it's hot in Texas ( which is most of the time). My boyfriend prefers the cha-mango...they're both just as refreshing. This place also offers a drive-thru option. The one major con about this place is their prices reminds me of Starbucks...expect to pay at least$5/drink. Join their reward program to get their deals to make it more worth it. read more

Went and tried the cha watermelon and fruit tea madness. Both were really good! Cha watermelon was really refreshing but didn't have enough chamoy. I liked the straw and the chamoy candy around it, so good!! *heart eyes* They even put fresh watermelon pieces on top of the drink. Fruit tea madness consisted of strawberry, mango and lychee and I really enjoyed this drink. It was also refreshing and had the fruit bits inside, not so sweet either but it was the perfect amount of sweetness. Drinks came out quickly and service was good. Only thing I will complain about is the price. $11 for two large drinks. read more

My first time here was pretty good. It was fast service honestly and the quality of the drinks were above average. The environment was really clean and classy! This place seems best for a hot day due to their specialties in slushies. read more

Recently took over from what used to be a church's chicken and Magic Cup does not disappoint. The menu is extensive from your milk teas, smoothies, fruit juices, and even snacks. I have been to the one in Dallas, but this is my first time being at this location and wanted to try something new. I'd ordered the Thai green milk tea with lychee pop and the drink overall was good but not great. The place does offer a drive thru which is always a plus. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and parking lot is big enough. What stood out the most was actually their service. Will definitely be coming back to try out new items. read more

I went here around 5pm and it was fairly busy, not surprised since it did just open. Last time I came I ordered a Cha-Mango which I was fairly surprised at how well it tasted, the next time my boyfriend and I came back we ordered the Cha-Strawberry and Cha-Pineapple! The Cha-Strawberry was alittle on the sour side, would probably not order again, yet the pineapple was really good! Would recommend out of the 4 selections either Mango or Pineapple. We also decided to order food, kimchi fries with an egg added, and also some spicy popcorn chicken. The kimchi fries with egg was good! You could actually taste the kimchi in the fries unlike some establishments. Although the popcorn chicken was slightly bland, could have been more flavored. Overall I love coming here for their drinks since they have a very unique selection for a tapioca place, and for the first time trying their food, I would order more! And they are very fast at making things, not 5 minutes into sitting we were already called up to receive our drinks and 10 minutes later our food had arrived. read more

One of my favorite place for coffee. I am lactose intolerant and they make their Viet House coffee using soy milk for me. They also have Asian garlic wings. If you go there, remember to sign up for their FiveStars point program. I have received a lot of discounts and even free drinks. read more

Came here during their grand opening for their buy 2 get 1 free promo and was not disappointed. The line was to the door but the wait time was minimal (great job on turning customers!). I was very impressed at how the establishment was decorated. Very clean and modern designs inside and out, AC was on point, and their music selection was top notch. We got the famous Cha-Mango and Tropical Paradise and were very satisfied. Tropical Paradise was light and refreshing, fruits were extremely fresh and plentiful! Cha-Mango was everything you would expect it to be. Delicious. Must try IMO. After reading some of the other reviews, I feel like everyone is tied to their own 'special' drink bar and not very open minded about new pop ups, hence the one and two stars... Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone and will continue to throw them into my rotation of all the drink bars i frequent. Keep it up, Magic Cup! read more

The mango cha is my go too! This place always has great customer service, can't complain about it!

Driving past Magic Cup everyday while under construction, I really did not know what to expect when anticipating the opening of this establishment. Coming here at today's grand opening, I was not disappointed. When I first entered, I noticed that there were multiple entrances to the building, and I was greeted with a menu. Despite the line being quite long, the cashier was efficient and we were greeted with menus while we waited. Looking at the operation, I also noticed that they were heavily staffed, equipped with more-advanced technology than the typical teahouses. The use of staff, sales system, and equipment worked efficiently and made our wait short. Today, I tried: -House Milk Tea - which was a little bit disappointing compared to the competitors; the tapioca was not as chewy and tasted quite bland. -Cha-Strawberry - was something refreshing if you like strawberry-slushies -Fruit Tea Madness - which is something I would definitely recommend; you can tell that real fruit chunks are used and is the perfect amount of sweetness -Cha-Pineapple - a little sour and a little bit too sweet, but still can't go wrong if you like these sweet-spicy-sour type drinks -Oreo Vanilla Bean Frappe - an extremely sweet drink, but is pretty good if less sweetened -Voodoo Chicken (Small) - not worth the price, still very savory nonetheless -Kim Chi Fries - Definitely a good snack for one person, I do recommend This establishment offers board games, t-shirts for sale, and other great amenities such as wi-fi, promotions, as well as a nice friendly- atmosphere. Drive-thru will most likely open soon as well. The only thing I would complain about is the prices of the drinks. The smaller option starts at around $5, a little more than the average, while the larger size starts at $6. Other than that, I would definitely go again. read more

Awesome fruit drinks! Open late, even for a Saturday, I enjoy the atmosphere and also great music. There's a security officer on duty inside, so don't feel alarm. Clean environment and the inside is pretty lit with lights. A good place to come for dessert or to chat with friends. They also have a drive through that is for quick service on the go. read more

Magic Cup - Fruit Tea Madness! One of the best! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Houston, Texas

My new favorite place to go to without going towards the congested Chinatown near Beltway 8. I have tried ALL 4 of their Cha signature drinks. Ranking from the most favorite to least favorite: Mango, Watermelon, Strawberry, and then Pineapple. Their "mangonada"is freshly made to order so don't expect it to be as frozen. The mixture is soft enough (like a slush) to drink it with a straw but still fun to scoop it with a spoon. I love how there are REAL fruit pieces sprinkled on top. I also like how the chamoy is drizzled around the inside of the cup. For those of you that complained how there is not much chamoy...you can always request for more??? The staffs seem very nice so I think they will accommodate to their customers. This signature drink comes with a "candy straw" made with tamarind + chile. I like to bite a piece of the candy straw, leave it in my mouth, and then take a sip from my drink. I like the combination of sweetness, tangy-ness, and spiciness all in my mouth at once. Cha-Mango is the sweetest (but not overbearing). Cha-Watermelon is refreshing but is very light in flavor. Cha-Strawberry is both sweet and tangy. Cha-Pineapple is the most tart/sour. Their house milk tea is delightful. You can taste more tea and less milk (just the way I like it). Their boba balls could use some improvement though. The balls were semi-sweet but it was a bit harder (not as chewy) compared to other tea houses. I recommend the tropical paradise fruit tea (orange juice and green tea base). It tastes PRETTY similar to JuiceBox fruit tea. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. I will definitely come to this place more often (much closer). Chinatown boba stores...I will have to temporarily break up with you. read more

Magic Cup - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Houston, Texas

Nice drive through feature for a boba shop and they whip up their orders pretty fast. Voodoo/popcorn chicken and calamari are both pretty good with lots of fried basil, adjustable heat and decent portion sizes. They do charge more for no/low ice + fill up to the top, but I guess that's normal for this part of town?! I don't really crave any of their drinks, but for sure their snacks & drive through are really nice during the pandemic times. read more

This establishment is kinda cool to hang out with friends. If you do come here with friends, I wouldn't recommend their drinks. They are too sweet as in loaded with sugar in all their drinks. I got the lite vietnamese coffee and my bf got the taro milk tea. They had two choices of the viet coffee, lite and dark. Well I should've tried dark cause lite was nasty. It didn't even taste like viet coffee and rather tasted really milky and gross. They were also overly empowered with sweetness that I almost threw away my coffee right there but since I didn't wanna be rude, I waited until I was far outside the establishment to throw away my drink. There are far too many better tap houses nearby who sell for way less than this establishment. I haven't tried their snacks to comment on them but I hope it tastes better than their drinks. As Anh L.'s review stated, "I came, I tried, and I left. I'm not sure I'll be back." read more

Thought Magic Cup only existed in Dallas, but here she is in the great city of Houston. I rarely travel on this side of Bellaire but found Magic Cup and had to make a stop! I picked up a strawberry peach tea with boba and it tasted just as good as the one I remember going to in Dallas. The drink was perfectly sweetened and what I enjoy are the little bits of fruit they give you. It was a good solid boba drink just like I remember it to be. read more

With a saturated amount of tapioca bars on Bellaire, Magic Cup stands out. It's located in the 'not so busy' side of Bellaire. The inside is very clean and modern with lots of space and room with tons of tables. Great place to talk and hangout. The cup sizes are pretty huge. I opted for the smaller size (16oz) and it was more than enough. The Cha-Watermelon was amazing. Really refreshing and loved the bits of watermelon chunks in it. The House Milk tea was watery and not good. Can't wait to try their food and other drinks. read more

I gave Magic Cup another visit. This is a big deal for me because this is a 30 minute drive for me just to get a tapioca drink. But the heart wants what it wants. The drink was delicious as always. This time, I got my drink in a timely matter (no 10-15 minute wait in the drive thru)! 5 stars all the way! read more

Interesting drink option. Apparently they are known for their fruit infused tea and not their boba. It is definitely a different type of drink and it has fruit chunks in it that elevate the flavor. However, it kind of tastes weird and soggy if you leave it out for a while. Still good though and the place has a cool hang out sort of vibe with games and such. The cafe is located in the middle of a sketchy parking lot and kind of looks out of place. read more

I kept forgetting to write a review but after today, I had to put everything aside to write this review! I had 2 drinks to go. As soon as I took off and made a turn, all my drinks spilled all over the car! I went back and replaced my order free of charge!!! that's a good customer service! I have come here a few times already and tried different drinks. All the tea's I have tried are awesome. It is definitely a different type of drink and it has fruit chunks in it that elevate the flavor. The place is pretty nice, clean and trendy. The restrooms are nice! It's not often you walk in an Asian establishment and see up to date clean restrooms. I like the point system - Anything you purchase it gives you points unlike Kim's tea house you get a stamp only when you buy drinks and does not count towards food. I would return. Service was nice and the drinks were quick to serve. The inside is nice too and it seems like a good study/hangout spot for big groups read more

I only come here for the thai green milk tea. I do like it a lot compared to other places I've tried. And a big big plus is drive thru is what keeps me coming back. Downside? Never consistent. Sometimes too much tea or too sweet or too much milk or basically not enough of something. But when they are on point, yum! Lol so You'll never know what you are going to magically get! Like today, I got too too much milk. Wayyy too much to the point where I believe it's punishment for drinking this instead of water on a no cheat day. The color is definitely not as green as before. Yup I'm being punished by the healthy food gods. Oh how you surprise me magic cup.... hmmm read more

Love the design of this place, but I wish I could say the same about their drinks. I've tried the green Thai tea, matcha milk tea, milk tea, and coffee milk tea; and I thought they were all okay and kind of bland. I haven't tried their food or their fruit drinks, but I heard from several friends that their fruit drinks are where it's at so maybe give those a try instead. I order tropical paradise which is a little bitter but ok. Fruit madness tea was nice and sweet. Add tapioca for extra price. Cha mango was ok. Cha pineapple was sweeter n better. Thai green milk tea has nasty perfume like taste left in mouth. No good! And it was suppose to have bubble but didn't. These tapioca drink prices r getting ridiculous. It's the price of food entree!
