It was juicy, nicely seasoned with that signature peri-peri flavor, and the heat level was perfect for me. Not too spicy and not too mild. The rice and sides that came with it were tasty too. Definitely worth it if you're craving flame-grilled chicken. For some reason, they forgot my daughter's entire kids meal order so we shared my chicken while waiting for it to arrive. After a while, the entire chicken was done but still no kids' meal arrived. I went to the lady in the front and she said it was coming so we waited another 15 minutes and still nothing. I went back up to just ask for a refund but they said it was definitely on its way this time. It finally came but it was definitely a battle to get this thing. the staff was apologetic and eventually got it sorted. That being said, the food was still very good and I would definitely come back. Perhaps takeout would be better next time though.

As the name suggests, this place Slaps!…read more I stopped by Slappin Chick in Hicksville for a quick fried chicken fix and walked away pretty satisfied. The chicken is crispy on the outside with good flavor, and you can actually taste the seasoning. I went with a medium heat level and it had a nice kick without completely destroying my taste buds. Perfect for what I was craving. I ordered the Hot Chicken Tenders with Fries, Mango Habanero Wings, and Garlic Parmesan Wings at Slappin Chick and overall had a really good meal. The Hot Chicken Tenders were crispy, juicy, and packed solid flavor with a nice heat level that built up without being overwhelming. The fries were decent and worked well as a side. This was the highlight of the night! Highly recommended. The wings were ok but i felt like it was more bones and skin than actual meat. These must have been some really small chickens. Their signature Slappin sauce is addictive (I ended up putting it on everything). Give it a try. Dont skip out. Solid spot. Would recommend it if you're in the mood for hot crispy chicken.

The flavors are good but it didn't have the spice it advertised. The Mac and cheese is most likely kraft mac and cheese, which is wild for them to charge $5 for a small cup of it. The restaurant was empty, on a Saturday at 1pm, like empty, nobody taking out and nobody dining in.

Located next to the Orient, with a private lot out front, facing the ever so majestic Grumman site/Fedex lot. The Loaded French Fries received high accolades from my nephew, noting a great crisp on the fried chicken. The Planks were everything you would want them to be & then some. For me, the Grilled Chicken (no basting) Wrap, 10/10. The chicken was juicy & had great flavor. The Peri Peri Sauce is great! The Wings had great flavor but I do prefer them to be more well done, next time we will do sauce on the side. Fountain soda machine was pumping the coldest freshest Coke Zero I have had in a while. Staff were helpful, friendly, & generous with the extra sauces. Plenty of booth seating, cute decor.

We called them at 8:45 for delivery and they accepted the order even though they close at 9:30. They were very accommodating on the phone and took the order quickly and efficiently. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and a couple of individual dinners. My husband got a few pieces of fried chicken, my sister got the chicken and ribs dinner plate, her boyfriend got the fish and chips dinner with a side of coleslaw, my mom got jalapeño poppers and wings, and I got the chicken cutlet sandwich with waffle fries. The food came pretty quickly, less than 45 minutes after ordering. It also came piping hot. Everything was crispy, nothing greasy, and fresh. Even the lettuce on the sandwich was nicer than most restaurants we order from. I think the price was also pretty great. My sandwich with a generous portion of waffle fries and cheese sauce came to under $10 which is unheard of these days. I've lived in Massapequa most of my life and have been ordering from Chicken Au Go Go for a long time and I know my next order won't be too long again.

The chicken isn't overly thick, has a great crunch, and the spicy, garlicky mayo is next level. Honestly, it's way better than the Nashville hot chicken spots that are everywhere right now. I really wish they sold the fried chicken on its own because it's that good. The beef burger is solid too -- not greasy at all, and I love that they use fresh jalapeño slices, which add real crunch and a clean spiciness instead of just heat. The fries were nice and crispy and tasted fresh, which I always appreciate. I also loved their shake options, especially that they have mango and falooda flavors -- such a fun and unique touch you don't see everywhere. The only thing that was mid for me was the Philly cheesesteak. It was very rich and cheesy, to the point where it felt heavy after a few bites. It could really use something acidic to balance it out -- even fresh bell peppers or a bit of tang would've made a big difference. Overall though, I'm so glad they finally opened a location on Long Island. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu.
