Change the menu chicken Parm came out as two deep fried patties with a little bit of white cheese on top of them. No taste or flavor in the chicken sometimes change is not always best. Doing it. MY boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. I recently moved here and I am so happy that he brought me here! Perfect service. Perfect food. Perfect ambience. Our waiter even brought me a special birthday dessert! He knew I was trying to jeep my bday on the down low, and it was so sweet and kind! It was our first time here, and now we will be back regularly! I had the Chicken Francesce [spelling]? It was divine and it came with asparagus and delicious seasoned fried potatoes. Everything was perfection. Thank you for a delightful birthday dinner! read more

Our service was horrendous. Our server Daniela was absent and seemed not to want to wait on us. She was nothing more than a glorified order taker and cashier. The service assistant was more attentive. She never checked on us while eating and hovered while we were cashing out. And to top it off, when we were leaving, saw her sitting on her phone by the hostess stand. read more

Lasagna was soggy and pasta not firm, tasted mealy or grainy! Bread was not the usual firm but unusually firm, as a matter of fact, the corners could not be pulled off or broken easily... beyond being exposed to air too long! The fried zucchini was not freshly prepared but limp and wimpy! The Caesar Salad was Romaine lettuce but mostly stalks with about 1/2 teaspoon of Parmesan cheese on top. Not what I had expected based on my previous experiences at Maggiano's! Something, definitely has changed or maybe carryout is different from sit down meal! Spending $60 for lasagna, fried zucchini and a small salad is a bit too much to be disappointed when you arrive home! I drove back to get a hot order of zucchini. I was offered a refund but I declined because my goal was tasty food not a refund! I didn't know the status of lasagna and salad at the time. I had assumed it was fine. The evening ended up being a total bummer! FYI- here are the stalks from the Caesar Salad read more

I hadn't been in for quite a while. My coworker and I had the day off and the fried zucchini was on our mind. Our server was top notch, A+ and so kind. I had delicious red sangria. We chose the deal with an appetizer, 2 entrees and a dessert. We had the spectacular fried zucchini which was just as we remembered. We chose chicken Alfredo and chicken and spinach manicotti with pink sauce, for dessert, the apple dish. The chicken in the Alfredo was weird, the taste and texture. I added rotisserie chicken to my left over, it was much better. The manicotti was good but they gave us red sauce instead of pink. It took away from it a little but it was fine. The apple dessert was good. We had a good visit. read more

Great food, Great service and enough food for three meals in one order. The bread was scrumptious

On weekends, it gets BUSY but we understand why: great service and delicious not overpriced food. Oh! And the $5 take home pasta after purchasing an entree?! YUM. We started with the mozzarella which was delicious, cheesy, and loved the marinara sauce. The eggplant parmigiana was delicious but I wasn't a fan of the sauce it tasted different than the marinara the mozzarella came with and I loved the spaghetti olio it came with, super tasty. And the tiramisu!! So rich and decadent with espresso flavor and creamy...I'll be dreaming about coming back and having it again, haha! My fiancé enjoyed his fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. We ordered the baked ziti & five cheese ravioli to go for $5 each and they were also so delicious!! Our server Shelley was great too. So friendly, informative and attentive. It's located in a mall area but it's not connected just in the plaza area so parking was available. read more

My family and I went here yesterday for lunch. The ambiance was really peaceful, and the staff was welcoming. Our waiter was good. I couldn't decide between two entrees, and he helped me make the decision. Wow, was he spot on! He suggested the Chicken Francese, with grilled asparagus, seasoned fries. It was exactly like he described! It was light, flavorful, and so delicious! The chicken had a Parmesan crust with lemon and butter sauce, the asparagus was grilled to perfection, and the fries had some garlic, lemon, and Parmesan cheese. Wow, it all was so amazing! My fries came out cold, and the waitor got me a fresh batch of fries, and they were perfect. My husband got the Eggplant Parmesan and Spaghetti. The eggplant was so crispy, flavorful, and delicious! The spaghetti had garlic, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese on it, and it was delicious and flavorful! Our son got the Spaghetti Meatball entree. He said it was really good. It only had one meatball. It is an upscale restaurant with upscale prices. We had water to drink, and our bill cost $72.00+ for the 3 entrees. The servings are huge, and we all 3 had leftovers. I would definitely recommend this place. We hope to go again. read more

I've been coming to Maggiano's for many many years - since I was little it has always been a staple of my parents. Although I often venture out and try new things, my favorite is their lasagna and their tiramisu. Their lasagna is so delicious with lots of sauce and meat and cheese - everything you can hope for in lasagna. And the tiramisu is so creamy and well balanced. I also love that you get lemon cookies on your birthday! This time I got the new truffle Cannelloni. It was hardly truffle - extremely mild - but the pasta was good although small portion. We also got the fondue which was definitely not fondue - more of a cheese spread. I expected a fondue pot with things to dip and that was not the case. Still tasty but I would not call it fondue. Overall, I love Maggiano's and I'm sure we will be back many times - the new items on their menu just didn't hit right. read more

High consistency for what it is. I feel like when I go here, I know what I'm getting (moderate quality Americanized Italian food at moderate prices) and it delivers. I greatly prefer to the Olive Garden (other than the soup at Olive Garden). The portions are gigantic and reheat well. If dining in, the service is relatively prompt. Eating upstairs tends to be a bit slower. They have good spaces for groups. Separate carryout desk that is well staffed. They should box up the butter separately as mine had liquefied and got messy. I love that you can get the extra portion for not much more. read more

If you like Italian... give this a try whether you are dining in or getting take out. We always get several different things...like the variety. Rigatoni D is a long time favorite and probably their most popular entree. It has chicken and mushrooms with Rigatoni in a garlic cream sauce. Mushroom ravioli in cream sauce. Linguini red clam sauce. Desserts are also yum. read more

My favorite lunch at Kenwood Town Center. Cause not only is the food delicious, you can get a $5 carryout for your lunch tomorrow with any entree purchase. What a deal. Course, no meal is complete without the bread and balsemic and oil dipping sauce and a glass of wine. I've eaten here many times, and everything is good. Last time was especially good...Chicken Picatta. Just get this...the lemon sauce with capers is to die for. As was the Chicken Alfrado I brought home. I could eat here everyday...and that's my story. read more

Came here to try it for our pre rehearsal dinner to see if it's something we'd want to book for it. I can say this is some of the best Italian food I've had. Our waitress Victoria was the most pleasant, attentive waitress I've ever had. We sat outside which had nice music playing and was very laid back. The food was so amazing, HUGE portions, highly recommend splitting the meals. Also got the chefs appetizer specials and it was delicious, as was the smoked old fashioned. Their bread was also some of the best I've had. 10/10, will definitely be back!! read more

We had a wonderful dinner with family from out of town. There were 10 of us and we called ahead just to get a timeframe since we know that's a larger group. She was so kind and told us it may be a 30 minute wait and we completely understand. Our service and dinner was so great. I wish I had taken pictures but the conversation was so good- I just forgot! I had the ravioli with pesto cream and marinara sauce- best I have had in years. At the table there was several chicken parms, cannelloni, spaghetti and a giant! meatball, salads (their signature Maggiano salad is great) and the most delicious rigatoni "D" which I will be getting next time! Their garlic bread is crisp and really good. If you have never ended your meal with their 'Vera's Lemon Cookies' you are missing out. It is the perfect end of meal treat. read more

Came for a casual lunch- and forgot how awesome this place is- a++ service and the food is fabulous. It really is authentic and top notch! The portions are perfect- for $14 I had soup & half sandwich (which came with fries). I really only ate the soup - well of course with bread (don't forget the balsamic drizzle)... so I basically had a whole meal for dinner. Also happened to randomly meet the executive chef who treated our table to a piece of HOMEMADE tiramisu! OMG! Best ever!!!!!! You can't go wrong- way above my expectations! read more

Bad experience! I ve always enjoyed going to Maggiano's to replicate the rich southern Italian food experience - eggplant parmigiana, crisp chop salad, tiramisu. The only thing that met expectations was tiramisu. There was no eggplant, the chicken Marsala was not as well prepared and plated as in the past, the dining experience was much worse than our many other visits (our waitress did her best but had too many tables to serve). The 'premium' wines (I tasted two reds - one of them the higher priced option - $33 for a glass - and both were harsh. I chose not to have wine with my dinner). I'm hoping when we try Maggiano's again (and we're in no rush to go back), it will be better. Hope this comment is helpful. read more

Food was delicious Service was slow, tool 1 hour 45 minutes to eat. Server took a long time to finally acknowledge our party. She seemed slow and overwhelmed. Everything was slow, getting bread & drinks. Good thing runners delivered our meals. Didn't ask us about refills and slow at getting our check. Waitress couldn't multitask at all, she needed additional training. I normally don't write a review as negative but feel there is an opportunity to correct service concerns. read more

Great service, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food! I love it. I'll definitely go back again.

I have always wanted to try this place. We made a reservation & I would not go here without one. It was crowded. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. Our server didn't take our order right away but it was okay because we needed time to peruse the menu. He brought us bread & there was olive oil on the table. The bread was meh. I ordered Chicken & Spinach Manicotti ($18.99) while hubby got Alaskan Cod ($20.99) & Garlic Mashed Potatoes ($6.99). The Manicotti was good. The Cod was tasty also. The mashed potatoes didn't taste like garlic at all & seemed warmed over. The service was excellent but the food was overpriced. We took home an order of lasagna for $5 but couldn't eat it due to it being way too salty. read more

This was my first experience here. Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly prepared. My salmon topped salad was exactly what I had in mind. The rigatoni had delicious mushrooms and chicken. My daughters mushroom ravioli was impeccable according to her. We ordered two children's meals: Mac and cheese, and pizza. They liked both. Maggianos were out of the lemon cookies so substituted chocolate cake balls. The only negatively was when went requested that our credit card not be entered over their app because of security concern. This wasn't net well and we were told that a supervisor would have to take over. All Covid safely measures were in place. read more

I'm Italian from NY. I've lived in Ohio over 10 years now and this is the only place I got for Italian food, unless I'm cooking it at home. Waited about a half hour for a table for 2 on a Sunday at 7. Not a big deal. Worth the wait. Not a very loud place. Average noise level for a restaurant. Not a bad date spot. You can still hear the person across from you without any issues. Sat upstairs, which I wasn't too fond of (yes, it has 2 floors), but the restrooms are upstairs, so there ya go. Dave was our waiter. He's been here a good 10 years and knows his menu. Ordered the calamari and the truffle garlic bread. The calamari was cooked to perfection. Not chewy or rubbery. It's as if my grandmother cooked it. Just perfect. Truffle garlic bread was crunchy, yet soft on the inside. Four pieces was just the right amount for me and my guest. The cheese was fantastic. Paired very nicely with the truffle. Got a bottle of the Oberon. Great tasting. Pairs nicely with just about anything. Great sipping wine. Not oaky. Veal and the linguine di mare were ordered. Wow. The portion of veal was a generous portion. Veal was pounded out nicely. A little light on the sauce, but that's a matter of preference. Lots of mussels, clams and shrimp in the linguine. You will have to remove them from their respective defenses. Not a lot of lobster, but it's there and it's real. Linguine is done al dente. If you eat pasta any other way, you can't sit at my table. No dessert. If you have room for it, you should have finished your dinner. read more

It's been over 8 years since I've dined in at Maggianos. The experience was good then but even better now. My Mother and Father in law gave us gift cards for Christmas so I was very excited to come here. I'm not a chain restaurant fan but this place really did it for me. We made reservations on a Friday night at 6:00 pm. My Mr and I was seated and waited on right away. Our server was very friendly, patient and attentive. We started off with a bottle of the Maraia Barbera. 2017(dry red wine) and the appetizer we chose looked so good. We got: Bruschetta Bar Tour: -Candied Smoked Bacon Ricotta, Arugula & Fig Jam -Spiced Shrimp Smoked Bacon, Roasted Peppers & Corn Fondue -Roasted Pear Prosciutto, Blue Cheese & Balsamic -Italian Beef Giardiniera, Fontina Cheese & Lemon Aioli -Tomato Balsamic & Garlic For dinner (I highly recommend this because it's a bang for your buck) I got: Choose specialty today and take a Classic for tomorrow: Gnocchi & Italian Sausage Basil & Tomato Vodka Cream Sauce for dinner To take home: Taylor Street Baked Ziti Italian Sausage, Pomodoro Sauce, Italian Cheese Blend My Mr got: For dinner: Braised Beef al Forno Orecchiette, Roasted Red Peppers, Spinach, Truffle Peppercorn Sauce To take home: Spaghetti & Meatball with Marinara It was extremely busy but we got our appetizers and meals right away. Everything was perfect! Our appetizers was amazing! It was hard to choose my fave but if I had to it would be the roasted pear and Tomato balsamic & garlic. All paired well. My Gnocchi was so delicious (great flavor and seasoning) and I was able to try my Mr's dinner which melt in my mouth and he enjoyed as well. I know the whole experience was perfect. Great food and service. I know I look forward to lunch the next day!! read more

Have only had carry out from Maggianos since Covid. Still love their food but seems a bit pricier than the good old days even taking inflation into account. One of the best Italian food restaurants we have been to. The interior is straight up rustic Italian style. We always order the bolognese which is exceptional and usually take half of it back to the hotel because of the large portions. We were there for my granddaughter's 16th birthday dinner. The party "grew" and we had to be split up into 2 different locations (only drawback). Our upstairs server, Aaron Michael, was superb! 1. This location has eliminated all value options from the menu, including Marco's for two options. All items are a la carte and significantly more expensive. 2. This location and most of locations are now pushing Wagyu beef options. I tried the Wagyu spaghetti and my wife had the ravioli. We gave both dishes a D grade. 3. While a lot of restaurants have raised prices, the increases at Maggianos seem disproportionately more expensive. Clearly, the value received at one time at Maggiano's has evaporated. 4. The service has deteriorated at this location. Our server clearly needed more training. Six different times we had to proactively request silverware, salad dressing, water refills, etc. 5. Normally, management stops by each table to inquire about the food and service. No manager was to be seen or visible. 6. We would normally take home extra meals. However, the option to take home add-on items is no longer an option. 7. What had long been a favorite restaurant has now been removed from our options for good Italian food. Sadly, we will not return and can not recommend this Maggiano's location. read more

Needed to do some shopping at Kenwood Mall recently and stopped in to Maggiano's for dinner while I was there. Even though connected to the mall, you enter from the outside. As soon as you walk in you are hit with great smells and a bit of nostalgic, upscale, classy Italian feel. We were seated in less than the 15min anticipated and had a fun, half booth, table, resembling a night club. The menus was extensive and there was many low carb options in addition to pasta. I chose fish with lemon, butter and capers on top of spinach. It was a huge portion and so good, I finished it all. I also got a side of garlic broccoli. My wife had an earthy risotto topped with a fillet. It was a nice portion, perfectly prepared, as I stole some . To finish the night my wife ordered the creme brulee '"mini" size and it was yummy, followed by coffee. Since it was my wife's birthday they brought her out some Italian lemon cookies with whipped cream topped with candles. Nothing embarrassing- just right. The manager also came over and offered his congratulations and a card with coupon with a present. Service was great and I tipped accordingly. So, as you can tell by my comments it was a great experience and I will be back soon! read more

Really nice to return here after a long absence. I was literally there the last night they shut down for COVID back in March of '20. I'm sorry it took me so long to get back but I lived farther away and this was the first opportunity in a long time to get up to Kenwood. Anyway, it was a great evening. Clayton was our server and he did everything to make everything great for us. I had the middle cut filet which was juicy and very tender with great vegetables and mashed potatoes. My other half had the shrimp cacciatore which he said was excellent. We shared the creme brulee which was also very well done and only 250 calories. Definitely a great place to get some good Italian food and we were very thankful that they are still going strong. Delicious food and great service all around! read more
