Paneer on my paper plate
Jjay S.

My friends and I finished Karaoke at Novabox around 2 am and needed a place to eat! Normally memos and Aladdins are good options on the ave but we wanted to try something new and saw Maggi Point was open! Unfortunately this was a big mistake... It should've been a major red flag when the girl at the table next to us told my friends and I to "get out before it's too late". Her and her friends said the food was inedible and they essentially through all their dishes away. The restaurant has you order at a kiosk before you sit down so there wasn't really a way for us to leave -- but we were hopeful! Maybe the table next to us was just really picky about their food and it actually wasn't that bad. But yeah it was that bad. My friends and I ordered the chicken tikka, butter paneer, and some naan to share. We were dining in but all of our food was served on paper plates - maybe just a thing they do for late night diners? Food-wise though, it was really not good.... The curries both tasted the exact same but also it wasn't like any curry I've had before? Everything tasted like it was seasoned only with salt and pepper and a LOT of it; it was really hard to get any sort of flavor component from both our dishes. The naan itself tasted like it was the frozen kind from Costco but not cooked all the way? It's unfortunately pretty telling when the food isn't good enough for a post-drinking meal.

Overall the flavors were good but I don't think it was worth $40 for noodles that resembled top ramen

Maggie's Point - University Avenue, Seattle Must try dishes Malai Soyabean Tikka Schezwan Maggie Mango Lassi Ambience was ok for me but the service was really good. They treat like a home member to you.

Tried this snack place at school district. Most of dishes were made from Maggi - favorite noodle brand among (Asian) Indians. I wanted to try the fusion dishes. Service/Ambience 2 stars You can't expect much because this is college town. It's a small shop. Mostly self service and ok-ish tables. Chicken Manchurian Maggi - 4 stars Served piping hot. Maggi is great only when served this way. The manchurian was quite dry though, but good side for the maggi. 4 stars for the successful fusion dish. Schezuan Maggi - 4 stars Spicy version of the maggi. It did have any side, but was still yummy. Would recommend.

Mediocre (mostly dry) food that lacks authentic east asian flavor, pricey, nice employees, decent seating, open until late, quality chai. Came here on Christmas eve on recommendation from a friend (most places were closed) and wasn't too impressed with the Maggi or noodle options. The Szechuan fusion dishes were spicy but lacked the flavor you usually get with fresh peppers, which could be because they don't mix well with the masala mix that was also being used. Chicken was fine although slightly dry as well. The chai was my favorite part (although heads up it's a little sweet). I saw some people next to our family get the aloo paratha and I wish I had got that instead. Overall, this didn't live up to the hype unfortunately. Works as a late night option if you're in a pinch.

CAREFUL : THEY OVERCHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD ! pay attention to your credit card charges after you leave the place or better only pay by cash. Sadly it's yet another small Indian eatery that has fallen to dishonesty. I have been a regular customer and glad that it's open till very late, and thus great for some food after a late night soirée in Seattle.. The dishes on offer arent really expensive and thus the charges on my credit card are small enough not to be noticed, except last time. they got really greedy and slipped in two charges of $11.43 and $101.14 AFTER i'd left the place. It took me weeks and help from my bank to get those disputed and settled. Considering all the crowd this palce gets, I wasnt really expecting it to be a dishonest business.

Bollywood Street Food, another spot by Maggi Point, is located in the University area and stays open until 2 AM--great for late-night cravings. They even have Haldiram and Lays chips, which was a fun surprise! It's a small place, perfect for hanging out with friends, but unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the food. We tried the masala chaap, and it just tasted like chaap cooked in Maggi masala. Not something I'd order again.

It's got good indo-chinese cuisine. I had the lamb biryani which was spectacular. You get a choice of the base, which can be sichuan rice or even biryani!. There's 3 spice levels after that: mild, medium and spicy. I chose medium as I wasn't sure what the spice levels were like. The seating is kinda small but you could get a decent number of people in there. They offer shakes and lassi as well as decadent desserts. Try it out!

I came to know about them through IG and was eager to give them a try. Went on a weekday, the place was empty. Ample of sitting space. Parking is on the street and might be difficult to get as their are many other good eats as well on the street. Looking at the menu I was in anticipation about if the taste would be as we get on the streets of India. We ordered their:- Schezwan Maggi:- Color wise it looked like one but the taste was not even near to Schezwan. We did add paneer to our noodles for an extra charge. Veg Manchurian:- If you are craving for this dish, you will be satiated but not satisfied. Very oily. Indian Loaded fries:- or shall I say bland fries. Fries covered with mayo, green chutney & cheese. yet bland. So, their overall ratings on Yelp are quite different then that of Google, reason being that they will give you a discount if you leave a review on certain platforms. Well, we did not take that. LOL. Good marketing strategy though. The only good thing is that, they are open till late. Its a decent Indian place.

let's gooooo

Food was exceptional, went there at 3AM and the service was exceptional with our staff that helped us get everything we wanted. I appreciate the place a lot!

The qualities are huge for the price, the Manchurian balls are too big that they are a little uncooked in the middle. Very greasy food, fairly tasty and slightly spicy

Their food is just that good and the unpretentious vibe is actually quite comforting and reminds me of my childhood eating in similar stellar family-owned restaurants in LA's Chinatown. I don't think you can go wrong with any dish. I highly recommend their Pan-Fried Rice Roll with XO Sauce, Braised Beef Brisket w/ Vegetable in Stone Pot, Curry Beef Brisket Lo Mein, and their Salted Pork & Chinese Sausage Rice. My go-to drinks are their awesome Mango Smoothie with Coconut Milk and Sago and their refreshing Iced Coffee. They make such satisfying comfort food! I'm counting the days until I come back to A+ to stuff my face some more!!!

The restaurant was lively with a moderate noise level. A simple family restaurant that puts out authentic Chinese food. My companions both ordered the Black Mushroom with Chicken Rice in a stone clay pot. Their regular meal at the restaurant. I selected the Braised Beef Brisket with vegetables in a clay pot. The two rice dishes require 20 minutes to prepare hence my Braised brisket arrived first and bubbling hot. The flavors were rich and deeply satisfying. So good that my companions plan to order the Braised brisket next time. The Chicken Stone pot clay rice bowls arrived soon afterward. My friends enjoyed their dishes. Fresh tasting and delicious crispy rice. One ordered a Milk Tea and enjoyed it. Highly recommended for an authentic meal when you are in Seattle's International district!

It was our first time having it with the peanut sauce versus the xo sauce and it was definitely different. The coconut sago drink was definitely refreshing but also a lot. We ordered the pineapple bun with butter, mixed steak plate with black pepper sauce, and spare rib and chinese sausage clay pot. The pineapple bun was large, hot, and crispy with the sugary crust, although I wish the slab of butter was a bit bigger because it gets a little dry after you run out of butter. My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat. The steamed bok choy was a nice refreshing touch. Our favorite bite was the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot mixed with the delicious sauce. There's so many menu items that caught our eye and we'd love to come back and try it all! Hearty, delicious no-frills meals.
