Stopped at Mafia Sushi for lunch. They had a decent sized selection for their lunch menu. Walked in and was greeted and sat immediately. The service was so nice and our server started with complimentary soup while taking our order. We started with gyoza, and also ordered tonkatsu ramen, two rolls, and steak with steamed rice and veggies off the lunch menu. There was plenty of seating, service was great, and food was delicious and arrived nice and hot. Absolutely want to go back and try more! read more

What a wonderful experience at Mafia Sushi!! From the staff to the delicious sushi...everything was excellent. It's clean, the menu is refreshing and the owner was very sweet - we will definitely be back! I would recommend checking this hidden gem out, especially the Sunday funday roll. They've been open about 1 1/2 years so still relatively new - so support local! The menu is extensive, everything is plated nicely, and the fish was very fresh! Good luck, hope this place stays in business for a while. read more

I am SOOO EXCITED that this sushi place is in katy!! I live inside the loop but most of my family lives in katy and there is just no comparison to food quality between the two areas. I'm always skeptical of "good" restaurants in katy. But I have to say, this one measures up to inner loop food quality! We ordered the Play roll, caterpillar and deluxe crunchy rolls and they were all great!! So impressed with taste and quality! This will def be on our regular rotation for good restaurants in Katy! read more

The food was amazing - we tried the Gangster Roll, Sexy Roll, and Mafia Queen. Sexy roll has no rice so it wasn't our favorite but we decided to try it as it was different to us but the other two were sooo good! We sat at the sushi bar and got SUPERB service!! Highly recommend. Also, the atmosphere is really uplifting at the sushi bar - you should sit here on a date! read more

I was in Katy, TX visiting my best friend and her family last week and we had an amazing dinner at Mafia Sushi. I have celiac disease so my first question was "Do you have gluten free soy sauce?" When they said yes and brought me the bottle I knew I was in the right place. I had the delicious sashimi and lychee martini pictured, black snapper sushi, a spicy amazurita and a yuzu margarita. Absolutely everything was tasty and I am now obsessed with fresh wasabi. read more

Dine in | Dinner Two out of four rolls were really good. We got four rolls, a drink, and an appetizer. Cost $75 plus. Service was friendly. They really were. But they were really off their game that night. We waited a VERY long time for a final roll, and we're going to cancel it. A few tables seemed upset with wrong or late orders and we even got two things we didn't order. The guy helping the lady to serve our table was a bit more on point when it came to dealing with stuff and I feel bad docking the place honestly. Because I bet it is normally good. Though we felt a bit neglected. My family was from NYC. We love the godfather, and the mafia theme. The random Jamaican remixes of old 80s songs was mixed. We loved the samurai art and Eastern aesthetic, but the overall feel was mixed. Unfortunately, a shallow version of a man with a northern accent threatened to shoot another guy verbally at the sushi bar. Not something workers are paid to deal with. Having worked both multiple restaurants and security, you guys should cosisder calling the police the moment it turned potentially violent. Especially with those kids around. Never know what could've happened! He even left without paying. I am sorry that happened to you guys. Was not the best eperience. :( Food: 4/5 | Service: 2/5 and 5/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5 Recommended dishes American Gangster Roll read more

First time stopping by. Food was goood. 4 stars bc I only had the noodles and would like taste more items. I suggest you go in to order take out as there are menu items not listed online but are on the menu. Also i ordered based on the online menu and a item was incorrectly listed. Checked my to go order before leaving and saw the mistake the owner was very apologetic and super nice. Made the correct sushi role and let us keep the other. I will definitely be back great customer service goes a long way and the food is good too! read more

this is an excellent example of a good quality sushi restaurant. The service is really good.

Walking in we were greeted by friendly faces and it being a Thursday afternoon there was plenty of seating around. We found a perfect nook and were served miso soup on the house. The place is beautifully decorated and super clean. For the appetizer we got the spicy JJ which was freshly made and spiced just right and super crunchy! My husband loved his poke bowl and my cooked roll was just as fabulous. Everything was fresh and flavorful and we are planning to take the kids this weekend as they have a kid's menu that I know they are sure to enjoy. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place... the service, the food, the ambiance, everything is 10/10 ... they accommodated 8 of us at closing time tonight after we received some horrible service next-door at Shogun for my granddaughter's ninth birthday... the service was impeccable. The food was delicious and they made us feel like royalty... Thank you to the entire crew for singing happy birthday to my girl and staying after closing to make sure that her night was memorable, we will be back. We truly appreciate you read more

10/10!! Quick and fast, able to get our order done in matter of 10-15 minutes. And compared to other restaurants 10-15 minutes is really good. Ambiance is really well placed with the bar in the corner, outdoor eating area and nicely placed chairs perfect for big families. Now don't get me wrong on this food you would probably be thinking with that quick of a wait time you would think the foods bad, but no it actually taste so fresh! Thank you for the service. read more

Located in Katy off of Westgreen, in bright big bold letters you can see this restaurant located on the corner of a plaza. This sushi restaurant has a very sexy and intimate atmosphere. I can see myself coming in the evenings to have a few cocktails or come here on a date night with my boyfriend. They even have a section on one side of the restaurant where there's couches for lounging. Service is great and the servers are attentive. My server doesn't seem to know the menu that well when I asked him a few questions, but he was able to grab the manager so that's okay. Probably growing pains and that's understandable. But the manager came around and gave us a complimentary 2 piece salmon carpaccio and that was heavenly! It was so fresh, light, and clean tasting with a hint of truffle oil and sea salt. It just melted like butter in my mouth. We started off with an octopus salad, then my sister and I each ordered a chirashi bowl off the lunch menu. The raw sashimi tasted fresh and the salmon had a really beautiful marbling that it melted in your mouth. The table also ordered a few rolls to share. I really enjoyed the American Gangster roll. Any roll with tempura flakes added on top for an added crunch is good in my book! But it was advertised as spicy and it really didn't taste spicy at all. The dish had a few drops of sriracha around the roll, but that was about it. We also tried the 76 roll and that was also advertised as spicy and the 911 sauce had a slight kick but it was not spicy at all, so was kind of let down by that. And the last roll we ordered was the baked salmon spicy tuna roll....it is a California roll with salmon baked around it with spicy tuna that is raw that is topped on top of the roll. It looks like the only thing baked was that small piece of salmon that was around the roll. Overall, sushi rolls tasted good. read more

Finally found a real good sushi restaurant!! Great food and great service with a great atmosphere!

We are from Utah and were passing through town. Never expected to have the best sushi we've ever had!! We met the owner and his wife who were both such pleasant, wonderful people which added to the enjoyable experience. We had the animal, the refresher and the Hercules. All 3 were amazing flavor explosions made to perfection. We are so sad we won't be able to come here all the time! Please open a location in Park City! read more

Oh my goodness...not a good experience. It started promising. The spicy edamame and shishito peppers were good. We ordered Tuna on Rice...worst tuna quality I've ever seen. We sent that back! They tried to tell us they gave us Toro instead. Stop it...I've been to many sushi restaurants and have had toro...that was not toro people! The grilled hamachi collar was ok...not great. We won't be back! Once and done! They finished the edamame with butter and it's sitting pretty heavy...gross!!! read more

No pensé que me gustaría tanto este sitio, comida, servicio excelente. Si estás en Katy y quieres un buen Ramen este es el sitio....

I have been to mafia a few times now and the sushi has been very good. And it's one of my kids favorite place to go have dinner. The mafia Queen is so good and the pork chop roll is one of my favorites. If you haven't been then you're missing out! read more

Dined here about a month ago and forgot to leave my review. This place is probably one of the better sushi restaurants in Katy. The place is clean, the staff is very friendly and attentive and the food is good. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and the flavors were bright. I won't list what we ate but I will include the pics below with the names. I do have a few critiques that I hope the management will read. The reason for my 4 star rating is due to the fact that the sushi rice in the rolls was on the softer side and was too wet from the rice seasonings. Also the rolls that came with a sauce had too much sauce. You only need a drizzle of sauce over the rolls. I don't want my sushi sitting on a puddle of sauce. Everything we ate was good and we will definitely be back. read more
