I loved the food here so much. But I have to say the service was lacking and the food ordering process wasn't my favorite. I had to wait in line for the food to get a menu and never saw a list of food options on a board or anything. They should probably rethink a few things. The menus should be before you get in line. Then I ordered and it took over 30 minutes for the pizza, wings and cheese bread. They gave us garlic parm wings which were just ok when I ordered bbq wings. The wings were just ok. Bbq and parm sauce tasted generic and not impressive. The pizza and cheese bread though were fantastic. The pizza had nice medium sized chunks of potato and really great white sauce. I enjoyed the ranch too. It had jalapeños and green onions too. The cheesy bread was super garlicky and cheezy which we both loved. Came with marinara sauce. Now they were super busy so maybe that's why we didn't get great service but it was weird because we sat at the corner of the outside bar. No one ever came to us after 15 mins and kept serving the people waiting in line standing in the middle. We had to flag them down and even then it was like they were avoiding us. It was strange. We don't like to yell or anything to get attention so we just tried waving. Overall the atmosphere was neat because they allowed dogs and the outside was open and airy. read more

Busy summer evening at happy hour so tables were a little hard to come by. We were lucky to snag seats as a group left, so we had two rounds of drinks and put in a pizza order. My mom and I split a 10" Smile BBQ and it was just the right amount of food for the two of us. My drinks of choice were Sol Drifter and Fiesta Forever, and both were great. Came here for a drink mid-afternoon during the week, and were glad we visited. I was familiar with their beer before visiting, and was happy to get to the brewery as well. We were able to get a spot at the bar right away. The bartenders were all very friendly and efficient with drinks. I had a couple flights, and enjoyed all of the beers I tried. We went several times before the pandemic and now have been a few times since Covid and they have really good handle of safety standards. Been wanting to go to a brewery since I moved to Cincinnati from California. When it comes to beer I don't care much for the popular brands you can buy at the store. I want different draft beers that I can't get at any regular liquor store. This place has a great ambiance. I like the moss walls and the plants everywhere. This place has more than just beer. MadTree is another great Cincinnati brewery. It's located in the cool Oakley neighborhood. The brewery is a huge building with lots of room for gatherings or for private parties. It has lots of beers on tap, including those from other breweries. The beer can be found in many bars and stores. I have tried it's beer in bars. It seemed like a good idea to visit where it's made. The brewery is located on Madison. It's a really big building. There's lots of parking available in a private lot. I had a few choices from the house. The Pilgrim is a good selection. It's a smooth pale ale. The beer is usually about $3 a pint. It also has many beers from other breweries. That's a way to get to know other breweries, but you're at this brewery, so get to know this. If you get any of the house selections, nothing will be that bad. It's popular for a reason. The brewery is also good for watching sports on weekends. read more

I like hanging out at Madtree. It's a super chill space that is kid friendly (and dog friendly on the patio)... which is why it can get crazy busy!!! I try to avoid this place on weekends because simply walking to the bar is like dodging bullets, then the wait for a beer is long :( good for them! If you want to just relax, chill, have good beer and avoid the crowd, I suggest a week day. We easily found a spot to sit during our last visit on a Monday evening. Hardly any wait for Catch a Fire pizza and beer was poured quickly. Don't hate me but... Madtree isn't my favorite brewery around :/ however, I can usually find something like I can handle. Dreamsicle and Boysen The Hood are good. My fav is the current seasonal Rubus Cacao, it's super dessert like. Check out my ROTD for Catch A Fire... their Mac and cheese is delicious and the knotty bread is great for a quick bite. Sometimes the wait can't be upwards of an hour but that just shows how good they are. The patio is nice during the summer. They have cornhole ready to go. This place is huge!! It's a wonderful brewery to hit up after work and catch up with friends. Parking lot is large but can get filled fast! I came with three others and we were lucky to see someone pulling out of a spot! It was already pretty busy here at around 6 on a Thursday evening. So many people here! People brought their kids and dogs! Yes, you read that correctly! It's dog and kid friendly! They've got bean bag toss out back and sooooo much seating. But even if you don't get a table, people didn't mind standing. Wow! I just loved the space! It was mostly gray shades and pretty neutral. It's a little dark in here but made it kind of calming despite how noisy it actually was. I didn't order a drink but my sister got the Creamsicle which I thought was pretty good. They have pizza here by a company called Catch-a-Fire. I liked the barbecue pizza. It was the best! There was a veggie one though that I wasn't particularly fond of. It had mushrooms and onions and other stuff. No one else in my group liked it...not sure why it didn't taste right. Otherwise, awesome place!! It was fun petting random dogs and seeing children here. On this day in 2017 I sat on the patio enjoying a beer and pizza. It's been two years to the day since my first visit to Madtree Brewing and I'm now declaring MADTREE is my FAVORITE CINCINNATI BREWERY! Finally, I'm happy to share that. Once people know I'm into craft beer, I'm asked what's your favorite brewery? I now have a definite answer. My first visit was on a busy Saturday evening on the patio. The food here is served from a separate business so I won't speak on it too much. On that evening waiting an hour for a pizza, I didn't think I was going to be too excited about this place. Well, since my first visit I've since returned several times and at multiple times of the day. From evening meetups, spring patio visits, visits on holidays, morning yoga in the event space, soccer matches on tv and even car shows which to be honest was just an excuse for beers. It a huge place with inside and outside bars. Lots of tables, heated bar top for the cool evenings. Note, it can get busy. Like eight people deep in multiple lines. So, know that if your going to checkout a game; that at least 100 people are headed to the same place. But back to the beers... Thundersnow - this is my winter beer. A spiced Scottish ale that can be thrown back with ease. When your tired of Stouts and porters give this a try. Perfect as a side car to a Bloody Mary when on draft elsewhere. Hey, when the forecast calls for the first snowfall I'm grabbing this in a six pack. Red Eye Chai - was never a Chai drinker before having this beer. Pairs well with cinnamon and for this reason I will deem this my brunch beer. Maybe order a side of frosted bread from Catch a fire. In my opinion, they named the WRONG beer "Brunch So Hard" which is Brut ipa they offer. Dreamsicle - I believe this was my first beer here. It's a kolsch and is very light. Haven't ordered it much. Wow! Madtree has really stepped up their game! Love the set up and parking is ten times better than the first/old location! Very open and spacious. They have a beer garden (outdoor patio) where you can enjoy the weather! Bonus, you can bring your pets in that area! The inside is huge! They have long tables, bar, round tables and catch a fire pizza cafe if you get hungry. The merchandise and beer to go is next to the Brewing area. Loved this place (Oakley location). We went entirely because we could take our little doggo with us. There's plenty of parking and the space is huge. We, obviously, stayed out in the beer garden, so I don't have much to say about the indoor space- though it seemed nice when I went in to get a second round. There's a large bar in the outdoor area and a lot of seating, and a little water dispenser for dogs. It was surprisingly warm with heat blowing down on some of the tables. Probably not enough for a cold day, but enough for a cool one to be entirely comfortable outside. We ordered a pizza with goetta, because of course we did, and it was really good. Highly suggest - it made a perfect brunch to go with our day drinking. I don't think I need to say much about the beers- I liked the darker ones (Axis Mundi and Myth) but tastes are wide and varied. I will mention that there is nowhere to loop your dog easily if you are there alone and you need to go inside for any reason. We didn't have a problem as there were two of us, but it could be an issue for others- have a plan! At any rate, we will be back. read more

We came here to watch the Michigan game and it was so much fun! I don't really do breweries because I'm not a huge beer girl but they had some cocktail options for me on tap which was nice! Suuuuper pricy stuff but the place is huge to accommodate big groups, there are a lot of drinks to choose from, and our food was good! There's covered "outdoor" seating with heaters, lots of TVs so everyone can watch a game from anywhere, and a couple of fire pits outside as well.
