Blue Dahlia is incredible! Cannot recommend them enough as a group to work with for what can be a very overwhelming and chaotic day! They are fabulous organizers and are so responsive and communicative. They also think of every detail you could need in order to make the day run smoothly. But more importantly, they are kind and awesome people to work with. They understand that it can be heightened emotions and a stressful time and they run with it and make sure everyone feels heard and calmed down while providing reasonable solutions to any problems or points of concern! I had the best weekend ever and have gotten numerous comments from friends in the wedding and who attended how smooth the entire day went, and I know that's in large part to the team at Blue Dahlia. read more

I initially booked with Blue Dahlia thinking I just needed a point person for the day of the wedding. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how much support they provided in the weeks leading up to the big day. Their professionalism, respectfulness, and grace helped bring our wedding plans to life seamlessly. As someone who doesn't trust easily--especially when it comes to something as important as a wedding--I was able to fully relax and enjoy the day knowing the Blue Dahlia team was in charge. During vendor meetings, I often heard, "Blue Dahlia already mentioned that--we're good," which gave me confidence everything was under control. Their insight and experience were incredibly helpful as I navigated the many details and decisions, particularly as someone who can be indecisive. Throughout every meeting, my husband and I felt seen, heard, and completely at ease. I truly believe every couple needs a day-of coordinator, and Blue Dahlia is the team you want by your side. read more

Blue Dahlia coordinated my sister's wedding, and they said afterwards that "Kate was the best money we spent out of everything. She was a necessity," so we decided to book her for ours as well, and we're glad we did! We got the "two weeks to go" package because our wedding was mostly planned, but we wanted to hand off final vendor communication and day-of tasks so we could focus on family who had come into town early and the day itself. Kate met with us to iron out an itinerary and final decisions, and she could answer every vendor's question at the drop of a hat. Every vendor got consistent information and timely communication, so we didn't have to worry about any confusion. Kate and her assistant made sure everything got where it needed to go, including my guitar (I played a song with the band) and a ton of homemade desserts guests brought as they came (which we had instead of a cake). The two of them checked on us throughout the night without being obtrusive; we've never felt more taken care of. They also made sure everyone got tipped at the end of the night - all we had to do was hand Kate the envelopes. We could go on, but suffice it to say that whenever someone asked us a question, we could confidently say, "Kate and her assistant are handling that." What more can you ask for? read more

Blue Dahlia was - by far - the best money we spent on our wedding. The team was incredibly well organized and helped us nail down every last detail to perfection. I appreciated how they would help coach us in advance of the big day on what elements mattered most and should be prioritized vs weren't necessary. They were responsive and helped keep track of our vendors in the final weeks leading up to the wedding. Then, they REALLY made magic happen live during the wedding! They kept everything moving exactly on time so we didn't have to worry about it, and they resolved multiple issues as they arose during the evening. They are also lovely people and I will genuinely miss getting to chat with them. I can't recommend Blue Dahlia enough! 11/10. read more

Kate and her assistant were absolutely fantastic. They felt immediately like an extension of our family when met in our first meeting and we slept easier knowing we had her support and eyes on final details. We really felt she went above and beyond what was asked for and we are so grateful to her for that. We truly enjoyed our experience with Blue Dahlia and wish we had events we regularly could plan with her. We couldn't recommend anyone better to trust and coordinate a wedding! We love Kate and team! read more

It was so wonderful to have the Blue Dahlia team help coordinate vendors during the last 6 weeks of planning and take care of all the day-of coordination as well. I highly recommend hiring them so you have someone fully devoted to making sure you enjoy your big day. Everyone I worked with, I would happily work with again. read more

I spent a lot of time looking for a planner for our wedding. A good friend referred me to one, however they would not do a six week out plan because they said our venue was too complicated to not work from the very beginning. This led me to keep looking and I found Blue Dahlia. From our first details meeting I knew I was in good hands. We worked with Melissa who we cannot compliment enough. She is dedicated, detailed, organized, supportive, everything you want from a wedding planner. I felt like I was her only bride! My husband and I know our day wouldn't have come close to what it was without Melissa and the Blue Dahlia Team. We are giving them 100 stars and highly recommend them to any couple looking for help planning their wedding. I promise, you will not be disappointed! read more

Every phase of the planning process was easy and fun thanks to the team at Blue Dahlia. From day one, Kate and her team went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our wedding celebration was considered, making helpful suggestions and connections along the way. All correspondence was prompt and friendly. Their willingness to share ideas and advice to make sure that we had the most enjoyable and efficient day possible was so helpful. My stress was alleviated knowing that Blue Dahlia was crafting a timeline for the day, confirming all of our vendors, and ensuring that they had all of the necessary information for the event. This truly took so much stress off of my plate in the days and weeks leading up to our wedding. It allowed me to fully enjoy the experience, knowing that Blue Dahlia would take care of all the little details. I highly recommend Blue Dahlia for wedding coordination services! They truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had the wedding of our dreams. read more

My husband and I agree that deciding to use Blue Dahlia was the best decision we made (other than deciding to marry each other!) during the wedding process. Kate was a dream; down-to-earth, friendly, professional, easy to talk to, decisive, responsive, and extremely helpful. She seemed to always be there when you needed her and acted quickly when things started to go sideways. For example: - The day of our wedding a huge storm unexpectedly appeared. Kate constantly monitored the situation and helped us make the game time decision to move the ceremony from the garden to the tented reception area. She somehow arranged chairs to make the space feel more "like a ceremony" in a small space in record time. - During the ceremony the wind literally picked the tent up off the ground and Kate GRABBED THE TENT POLES and held them, in the rain, for the remainder of the ceremony. I mean, c'mon...that is true dedication and we can't thank her enough. - Anytime we needed Kate she was there, quickly moving things along and solving problems (for example, bringing ginger ale for upset stomachs, providing hair ties for a sweaty dance floor). She was everywhere and always helpful. - Throughout the process Kate was incredibly responsive. She gave us her personal cell phone and texted back immediately whenever contacted. - Kate was friendly and positive, but also decisive & direct. She gave honest advice that was incredibly helpful, such as: how and when to tip vendors, recommended layouts for the ceremony, order of reception events, and many other big and tiny details. Finally, we would just like to say that we could not have pulled off this wedding without Kate. Despite the fact that both of us are organized planners, there is no way we could have remembered all the critical details and kept things moving smoothly without her. And our wedding day experience would have been much more chaotic, and far less romantic had we tried. In short, we cannot recommend Blue Dahlia enough read more

Blue Dahlia is one of the main reasons our wedding day was the most magical and most special day of our lives. When I booked them I couldn't have imagined what an integral part they would play. My husband and I, along with our entire bridal party, were able to simply enjoy the whole day because they had everything covered and more. They alerted us when we needed to do things like cut the cake and always made sure we had food and drink in hand. The Blue Dahlia team provided us with the best possible service and had smiles on their faces the entire time. They were incredible! read more

WOW!! Blue Dahlia is absolutely amazing! We wanted to just enjoy our daughter's Day- and hiring BDE (3 mos. package)was the best decision ever! They are super chill. organized, funny, always on top of things, and has such a calming presence-she became like family! Always responded quickly and updated the itineraries often- and you can't beat meetings at "Senate"!!! Kate was so attentive to Chelsey-making sure she was eating and drinking water!! If there were any glitches, we certainly weren't aware! All I Know is Chelsey and Louis were grinning from ear to ear all night long-they had the time of their lives and that is what it's all about! Did I mention Kate is Amazing!!! read more

Kate is the fairy godmother of wedding preparation, strategizing, supporting, and just overall giving her all in making sure her clients have everything they need and want for their wedding day. Her team was amazing! They all seamlessly helped our day flow without a hiccup. Their collaboration gave us a flawless day where we just focused on being present in moments that are now some of our favorite memories. Kate stuck with us and gave us the energy and confidence to continue planning our Wedding during COVID-19 after we had to postpone from April to August. She had our back and never passed judgment on any decision we made. She and her team are in this business for all the right reasons. You know you're working with a pro when your coordinator can take an event of 200+ and adjust down to 60 without hesitation. Kate knew what to do to make the reception still look great and fill the space with a smaller guest list. To quote Kate, the motto that kept coming up when it felt like COVID was going to crash our wedding plans was "we're gonna get you married" Mission accomplished with nothing but happy hearts and a new last name to prove it. Thank you, BDE! read more

Working with the Blue Dahlia team was, hands down, the best wedding-planning decision we made! Originally we thought we could do everything on our own, but as day-of-wedding tasks piled up, we realized it would be best to outsource to the experts. At each meeting with Blue Dahlia, the team was professional, extremely well-prepared, and thorough (and just fun to be around!). By using the resources on the BDE website and through the questionnaire process, we were reminded of details we were forgetting and were able to fill in the gaps where necessary. The BDE team worked hard to understand our vision and we were completely confident that they would execute to perfection on our big day, which is exactly what they did. From the first meeting, we just knew we were in good hands, and this took a huge weight off of our shoulders and made the wedding planning process much more enjoyable for us. We will happily recommend the Blue Dahlia team any time! read more

Oh, how to even begin this review! There are so many reasons you should hire Blue Dahlia Events for your wedding day! Let me start by saying that I spent several years working in the wedding industry (outside of Cincinnati), and I have met my fair share of wedding day coordinators. I have met some of the most renowned of wedding planners in the country. The Blue Dahlia girls (specifically Michelle, Amanda and Kate) kick their butts! We technically started working with Blue Dahlia 6 weeks out, but I felt like they were present from the moment we booked them a year out from our wedding! You know why? Because I could plan every tiny detail I wanted with confidence and assurance that it would be executed on our wedding day. I didn't have to be one of those brides who realizes weeks before her wedding that someone needs to do this, and this and this. I knew that I had the BEST support system, and that they would make it happen! On our wedding day, I didn't have a worry in the world. I was completely calm and stress-free (or at least I felt that way!). And just as importantly, so was my family and bridal party. I loved that we could all sit, relax, sip sweet tea, laugh, take photos....Well, we pretty much did everything BUT stress out that day. It was bliss. The ceremony and reception came, passed, and neither my groom or I felt an ounce of stress. Kate and Amanda made sure everything was flowing smoothly and on schedule, while I danced and just felt in love. I want to also say how kind and respectful they were to ALL of our other vendors. This was very important to me. Your day of team will become an extension of you, so I think it is so important that they have the ability to "play well" with others. Please, don't let yourself stress for even a moment on your wedding day! The day goes by SO fast, and before you can blink you're on your honeymoon! Have Blue Dahlia on your team, and just be a (happy, beautiful) bride! I love these girls! read more

Having been involved in weddings with and without coordinators, I cannot imagine my own wedding without the help of Blue Dahlia Events! As the bride, I did not have to worry about anything at all during the rehearsal or during the wedding day, from start to finish! Amanda and Michelle came up with a flawless schedule for my wedding day in just a few minutes which would have taken me days. They anticipated every question that I had and kept me focused on having fun. I would not have had the stress-free and amazingly fun wedding day without your help, thanks so much Blue Dahlia Events! read more

My husband and I are still talking about how thankful we are we decided to book blue dahlia events. We really were reluctant to even go with a coordinator in the beginning. But with me having anxiety, we decided it would just help and hopefully be worth it. Boy, was that an understatement. We could not have pulled our day off without blue dahlia. If you're having hesitations about booking, DONT! We booked the "2 week out" coordination where I basically handed everything over to Kate who mapped everything out perfectly. She coordinated with the vendors that I was having trouble reaching. She was extremely easy to communicate with and willing to go the extra mile. She assigned me a "day of" coordinator named Katie. And I thought, cool! That will be nice to have some one there the day of to help out. Another understatement. Katie ran the day and all of the behind the scene stuff like a SCIENCE. She was ALWAYS one step ahead of me. When I would come up with a worry, before I could even finish my sentence, she would reassure me she had already taken care of it. It was honestly incredible. I have 0 problems the day of my wedding, because whatever problem there probably was, Katie smoothed it over. On top of that she was always close by making sure Garrett and I had a drink at the reception. We still are talking about how thankful we are that we had Katie the day of our wedding. I can't say enough. If you're hesitating, don't. You won't regret booking with blue dahlia events - they will make your wedding the most carefree day - the way it's supposed to be! read more

When I think back to my wedding day a huge smile comes across my face. My wedding was absolutely perfect and I have Blue Dahlia to thank. From helping out with my timeline all the way through to a smooth reception everything was great. MY goal when deciding on a wedding coordinator was for my parents (especially my mom) and my parents friends to finally have a wedding that they didn't have to decorate and clean up. One that they could enjoy their time celebrating instead of working/planning. At the end of the night, when it was time to leave I saw the relaxed look on my mom's face and a big smile, and I knew my goal had been met! Thank you Blue Dahlia for making my wedding vision come to life more perfectly that I could have even imagine. read more

Blue Dahlia was great to have for extra insight, helping hands, organization and execution for the wedding day. Blue Dahlia was great with communication with myself and my family, and with all of our vendors. They created a realistic and effective itinerary, shared with all of our vendors & ensured that all of our vendors were on the same page. If anything happened that was not as planned, Blue Dahlia immediately resolved the issue and avoided any additional stress for myself and my family. Blue Dahlia was a very calming and helpful resource to have on the day of the wedding, and during the 2 weeks leading up to the wedding, to ensure that everything went as planned. Would recommend them to anyone getting married! read more

Using Blue Dahlia was the best decision we made for our wedding! I cannot express what a relief it was to turn over the reins to the highly qualified, professional, and organized women of this team! The Blue Dahlia team executed the very detailed plan I presented to them without blinking and eye. They were easy to communicate with during the planning process, and I cannot express how much it meant to our families to be able to be "present" at our wedding and unconcerned with the million details that it takes to pull off a wedding. Our wedding was just what we wanted it to be, and it would not have happened without Blue Dahlia! read more

Blue Dahlia Events did an outstanding job coordinating my very complex wedding, which was held on a remote family farm, with none of the normal conveniences of a wedding venue. They were fabulous at identifying and solving the details I hadn't months before the wedding. They were a huge source of information and experience to me, as I have no prior event planning experience. And they took a massive load of stress off of me the two weeks leading up to the wedding so I could focus on other things. I can't imagine how my wedding would have happened if the 3 coordinators weren't on site the day of my wedding. They made everything happen, and were wonderful to work with the whole time. Blue Dahlia Events is the best bang for your buck out there when it comes to wedding vendors! read more
