Excellent place for Indian food. I have mostly tried catering from this place and it's very good. Went for dinner on Friday. Ordered gobhi Manchurian, chettinad paneer, saag paneer and dal makhani. Although Dal makhni was not true Punjabi kaali daal with rajma but was good. Saag paneer was more creamy and yellow vs green saag, and richer than I expected but tasted fine. Chettinad paneer was a bit disappointing with excess gravy and less paneer. All the dishes came with a small bowl of rice. Breads were great - tandoori naan - very nice. Bullet naan - super. Came here on a Saturday and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Inside it feels like a fairly typical Indian restaurant; I could see it being a little nicer at night with the full bar as you walk in but for lunch it was casual. There's a wide variety of starches, vegetarian entrees, and meat entrees, as a selection of desserts to choose from. Everything I ate was good to great, and I particularly enjoyed the mutton curry and chicken 65. Most of the curries had a least a little heat to them, so if you don't like a little spicy at least this may not be for you. Service was meh. You pay before you eat, and they ask for a tip starting at 18% and moving to 25%. For a buffet tips should be 10-15%. The tipflation is unreal, but also we had to call somebody over to refill our water, so not great service. read more

The weekend lunch buffet has to be my favorite with the amount of options they offer. Outside of the buffet, the pav bhaji, dosa, chaats, and curries are all great. We opted for the lunch buffet which has for separate tables: one meat, one vegetarian and with naan and fried items, one mixed meat and vegetarian, and a salad table with chutneys, sauces and desserts. Because it was the weekend, water was available for grab at a side table. I was surprised at the variety and the types of dishes. Everything was delicious and distinct in flavor. I was happy to see that the lunch buffet would go until 3 pm as my ETA was 1:55. Well, I definitely don't suggest arriving this late. It appears they don't restock the buffet after 2 pm and what you see at that time is what you get. The servers are more interested in cleaning up at this time than serving you. Payment is taken before you're seated and I have to tip on my credit card so I'm tipping before knowing what kind of service I'll get. I tipped 18% to never get a refill of my drink. As mentioned, they just wanted to sweep the floors and get out of there. My lady swept all around my feet a short time after 2pm and then I saw her grab her personal items and leave. I had to go to the servers station to refill my water that had been sitting empty for several minutes. I like how they have separate buffets for vegetarian and non vegetarian items. I prefer the spinach to be pureed and without the cheese. Spicy wasn't very spicy. I would say my tolerance is average. Garlic Naan - very good naan bread. I also got the paneer chili appetizer (not pictured) and it was very sour and salty today, not sure if it was an off day or what. This is my absolute favorite place for Indian food in Georgia, and quite possibly anywhere. Whenever I visit GA, I always make a stop here as I don't quite get this stuff back at home. Located in the Publix plaza on the way to Alpharetta, but would still fall under the Johns Creek umbrella in my opinion. Huge interior inside with plenty of seating. For lunch, they do buffet only which is not my cup of tea but most others seem to love this. I am basing my review off the menu items which is only available for dinner. I frequently got done dine-in and take-out here and quality is always top notch when I lived in the area. The dosai, the curries, the samosas, the naan, etc. the list really goes on but you absolutely cannot go wrong with any of the dishes here. Far and away this place outdoes its competition. And if you like spicy, they can do legit spicy here too which I always appreciate. For paneer lovers, I highly recommend the Chili Paneer Dosai and the Mutter Paneer. I've tried so many different items over the years, but those were my favorites. Price is fairly standard for Indian food in the area. Not cheap by any means but not overly expensive either. Back when I lived here there was no alcohol, but visiting in the last year or so, they now seem to have a full-bar with several drink options. I have not experimented with those yet but may give that a shot the next time I'm in town. Service is better than average for Indian restaurants. One order comes with 2 large Samosas. They are very delicious and full of flavor. The Mango Lassi was very good as well! I ordered the Butter Chicken very mild and my husband ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. Both entrees were very good! They were delivered by a robot. Yes!! I said robot! I was so fascinated by the robot delivering food to tables and bringing the takeout food from the kitchen to the front of the restaurant. Had dinner here with some friends and overall the food was ok. My friend and I shared the chicken 65 as an appetizer. It was not what I expected because it was saucy. Normally when I get Chicken 65 it's dry and sorta crispy in a way. This was basically a saucy chicken with different flavors than a normal Chicken 65. For my main dish, I ordered the chicken kadhai and it was not what what I expected. Again the flavors were off based on my experience with other Chicken Kadhai dishes. For dessert we got the Rashmalai and Gulab Jamun. The Rashmalai wasn't bad but I really liked the Gulab Jamun. Overall the food was below average and service was ok. Ordered a masala dosa, paneer makhani, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and pani puri for dinner here with high hopes because last time I came here it was great. The masala dosa came out cold so I know for sure it wasn't freshly made to order. The paneer makhani tasted very watered down and had no flavor which was unexpected because I thought madras would have better curry than that. The chicken tikka masala in theory should taste the same as the paneer tikka masala because it's the same sauce but it wasn't (and thankfully so because it wasn't as watery). The garlic naan had no garlic flavor and was also not very warm when served. The rice came in tiny bowls and wasn't even enough to feed a child. There was a hair in my rice and when I pointed it out to the server he asked me if it was from the dosa..Only the pani puri was good. We were charged the tip twice on our credit card statement so make sure to check your credit cards the day after you come here. We went here for a date night the other night and had a pleasant experience. Food - 4/5. We went because of the good reviews and the food lived up to them for the most part. We ordered the pakoras, mysore masala dosa, chicken biryani, chicken chetinaad, and gulag jamun. The food was generally delicious and flavorful but it's the sauces that took the cake for me. They had that zing to them that really enhanced the flavor. This was also necessary since all the food was low on the salt side. I didn't really mind that last bit too much but I do wish they had put some salt bakers on the tables. The mysore masala dosa was pretty spicy so be warned. The chicken and biryani were on par with the flavors you'd get from other restaurants in the area so neither awesome nor terrible. The gulag jamun were pretty disappointing. They just tasted like bread and weren't soft either. I also think they forgot to add cardamom to the syrup. Ambience - 4/5. The ambience was pretty nice for a desi place in the area. The restaurant has nice seating, is pretty spaced out, has some pretty lights towards the back. And there's this neat robot that delivers takeout orders from the kitchen to the front that I always enjoyed seeing. Service - 3/5. The bar list is fantastic and so well paired with the menu! Our server Muhammad was so helpful selecting GF selections, but really the menu is so well detailed I barely had to ask a question.
