Probably more of a 3.5. The quality of the yogurt itself is satisfactory; it's not overly sweet and retains its characteristic Greek yogurt tang. They also have a good variety of toppings. However, it's a bit ridiculous that a small only includes one topping and is $8.50 with an additional $1.50 for extra toppings. Even though it's New York and prices are expensive, there are many froyo places around with better value than this. Also, the service was unfriendly and abrupt. Best to just stick to wherever you usually get froyo.
Came here on a Friday at 3:30pm with only 2 girls in front of me. I will say the raspberry frozen yogurt is a very nice taste as it was fruity and flavorful. The original tart wasn't as good as Myka or Mythos even though some say this place is better than both. I got a kids size which comes with one topping and got their Biscoff knaffeh and it was good. I don't really like how you have to pay $3.00 just for the special topping of pistachio knaffeh compared to other places. I would give this place a 3/5 taste wise. Deducted a point since the guy who was working on this Friday was extremely agitated when talking to customers for some reason. The two girls in front of me were taking their time and asking how many toppings each and said along the lines of is a small two tops? He seemed like he didn't know what they were saying frustrated (language barrier for the girls but still even I could make that out not as a worker since they have a sign that says small two toppings LOL). When they re-explained is it two toppings he said yeah frustrated. Then when it was my turn which only took max 2 min interaction - I asked if I could try the raspberry and chocolate. He told me I'm gonna have to choose one since he has one cup left so I politely asked if he can put it on top of each other where he seemed so annoyed LOL. I tasted it and then said can I please have the swirl of raspberry and original and he said we can't do swirl. Then I said nicely oh so a kids size only has one flavor? (Since I didn't see that on the signage). Then he said I can't do swirl, I can put it on top frustrated. And I said yes can you put it on top is what I meant with swirl aka two flavors. I've been a service worker before too and I get he might have had a bad day but dang left a bad taste in my mouth for his frustrations to be taken out on me when I just wanted some froyo lol.
Great frozen yogurt! Unfortunately the day before they had closed due to the machine breaking down but then they said it would reopen 30 min later and after 45 min they ended up not reopening which was a bummer. But over all after finally trying it, it's worth the hype!
I have been trying to hit up all the new froyo spots in NYC and stopped by Madison Fare shortly after opening on a Tuesday. They were running late and opened around 12:15 but it was fun being the first customer. I got a medium since I wanted 2 toppings but found out the pistachio knafe is an extra $3. I was able to get 2 additional toppings since I got a medium size but I should have just gotten a small if I knew it would be extra anyway. For my additional toppings I got crushed pistachio and the raspberry jam. I enjoyed this combo with the tart yogurt. The yogurt is not too sweet which is my preference and pretty thick. Definitely thicker and richer than traditional soft serve yogurt spots and it rivals my favorite froyo in NYC. They add the pistachio knafe on the bottom of the cup which was nice for balance. I do like that there is plenty of knafe and the pistachio flavor is pretty strong. In total it came out to be $15 which to me is pretty steep for froyo even though it was large enough to share between 2 people for sure. I don't think I would necessarily choose Madison Fare over my fav Myka but it was definitely worth trying.
Nice tart greek yogurt base. Would recommend to those who enjoy a real greek yogurt flavor. The biscoff and pistachio knafeh were some of the best froyo toppings I've had.
I've made my fro-yo rounds this Spring before the summer influx. I've been to Mimi's & Gyro Project this is third in triad. Very cute shop with friendly counter person. There's three flavors here and an excellent topping variety. Ate: small apricot passion fruit with dark chocolate peanut topping. $8.66 The fro to was fruity though not as creamy as I prefer. The chocolate topper was a superstar and best I've tasted though I am a chocolate fanatic. Flavors change and that topping rocks!
This place is a little pricy, but you can immediately tell that their frozen yogurt is top-notch. The friendly man at the counter told us that he made the yogurt this morning, and the toppings were so indulgent and delicious. The place was also very clean and pretty. I got the raspberry flavor with the dark chocolate brownie topping, which tasted just like brownie batter with bits of crunch. I hadn't had anything like it before! My friend got the vanilla flavor with berry compote, which also had a vanilla and cinnamon taste. So, so good!
Went on a Saturday morning and there was a long line, but it moved pretty quickly. One thing to know before you get to the counter is that you need to have your full order figured out ahead of time. I originally wanted to try the Pistachio Royal, but they were out of some of the ingredients. So instead, I went with a medium with cookie butter and Turkish delight, which was good. You could tell the yogurt was high quality, although the price felt a bit steep for the portion size. Pretty disappointed that they were out of ingredients for one of their signature items. Considering how popular it is, I was surprised they didn't have everything on hand. Even so, what I ended up getting was delicious, and I'd still be interested in coming back to try the Pistachio Royal.

Whether you're in the mood for something fruity, chocolate-y, nutty, caramelly, or anything else, they'll probably have something that'll satisfy you. A kids' size with one topping will run you about $8. Staff are really friendly and they have rotating specials as well as rotating flavored froyo -- they had mango and banana "sorbets" when I went this weekend. No real indoor seating besides a single bench inside, so be ready to be stand outside to enjoy, it's not really a sit-and-linger situation.
This popular froyo spot in the UES has finally opened its West Village location and I'm so glad I got to try it! It's a fairly small shop inside, with grab-and-go style desserts, and service was good. I got their classic froyo with pistachio kanafeh (extra $2.50), strawberries, and honey. Although it was good, I wish it was a bit more tart and did think that it was expensive for what it was (~$14 with taxes).
Waited 30 minutes on a Saturday night and were told they only had one flavor available. Nonetheless, we got the original with chocolate peanut sauce and pistachio kadaif. There is a cute basket of candies in the front which was sweet to enjoy as well. Yogurt itself was delicious and fresh! One of my favorites I've had in the city by far
This is the best original froyo I've had. It was super creamy and smooth, and we topped ours with chocolate and pistachios. The only downsides are the potential wait and how small the portions are, but in terms of quality, this is very good!
This is the second location of this frozen yogurt/froyo place, with the original one, of course, being on Madison near the Guggenheim. Speaking of location, this was the old tiny location of La Panineria, an excellent panini place which is now up the block. While they lack as many flavors as some other places, they have some fun toppings. I ordered the "Kid Size" as this is the solo one for $7.95 plus tax, which comes with one included topping. In terms of froyo flavor and texture, it was definitely thicker than the popular Mimi's and more tart, which I prefer. My topping was the matcha crumble, which was very tasty with a mild bitterness from the matcha, a bit of sweetness, and a light crunch. My only complaint is that maybe I wish the cup was a bit larger, as some of it fell out, but they gave plenty of said topping. I slightly prefer Culture down the block as it's a bit more sour and a bit more worth it, but I would go back and try their Pistachio Kadayif specialty topping next time I am in the area or something else.

To be honest I don't really like frozen yogurt and since I just got the tart yogurt it was just ok. But, I liked how they had unique toppings (like biscoff knafeh and turkish delights) and the yogurt was more like a vessel for my toppings. I would suggest that they get wider cups though because even with how carefully placed the toppings were, I saw a lot of people's toppings fall out just due to gravity. Another thing I kinda didn't like was how the size changes depending on how many toppings you want instead of how much froyo you want. It was kind of strange to me because I was forced to get a medium just cuz I wanted an extra topping but I didn't even want that much yogurt. I would come back though so that I could try their other yogurt flavors; they were out of their special flavors by the time I went in unfortunately. read more

Wanted to try the Dubai chocolate yogurt today but they don't have pistachio knafeh today so I tried the Dark Chocolate Cream with Peanuts & Pistachios ... tasted pretty good .. will come back again try the Dubai chocolate yogurt read more
definitely a 5-star spot for me. The yogurt was creamy, refreshing, and not overly sweet, exactly how Greek frozen yogurt should be. The employee working was so kind and helpful, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend getting the knafeh topping! it adds the perfect texture and flavor. I'll definitely be going back! read more

So delish and has gluten free toppings. The original is kinda of classic sour yogurt taste but with the toppings it was great. The fruit syrups are super fresh so def recommend trying those. They're pretty stacked up too. No hollow center. read more

Good ice cream terrible service. Amin was so rude, yelled at us and told us we needed to know what we order or dont come up. Berated the guy in front of us and told us not to be like him. Plus added a rule where you cannot add toppings to small ice cream. Its such a shame I loved this place but I can't go back to somewhere I am scared to order at. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would, and I never leave bad reviews. The worker Amin was very rude to me and my cousins. He was irritated right from the start and shouted at the entire place "if you don't know what you want by the time you get up here I am not serving you". He kept telling us he didn't know how to add extra toppings. I feel awful for the poor girl he was training. He was yelling at her in front of everyone. Horrible experience it honestly makes me never want to come back here. Sad because my cousins have had good experiences here previously with different workers. Then we were sitting outside eating our yogurt and he started yelling at us from inside the store. He also told multiple women to stand outside in the cold to wait to be served when there were only like 3 people inside. But yeah my advice would be to fire this guy he is going to chase away all business. read more
