There was no line, which surprised me as the froyo place next door had a line out the door. I loved the nuttiness of the soft serve and the sprinkles I added to my ice cream were crunchy, not stale. I also appreciated the fact that they ran me up really quickly and served me immediately. The presentation of the soft serve is a 10/10. Came here after seeing this on social media. It has been one of those places that's gotten a lot of publicity online. Long line when we went although it was a hot and humid night. A lot of people sitting in the shed taking pictures of their ice cream as well. The line moved way slower than expected. They seemed pretty understaffed with only one person taking orders and making food, so things would get very bogged down if someone ordered a milkshake or something that required preparation. They have lactaid available which is a nice touch. The soft serve was on the softer side of what I've had before and melted fairly. The famous honey and sea salt ice cream was just ok. The ice cream is almost pillowy in texture, making this soft serve much more luxurious than any other type of soft serve ice cream I've had before. So far I have had the pistachio and vanilla flavor ice creams, next on my list to try is the strawberry. Employees have been friendly and efficient, service is almost instant. Downside (no pun intended) is that it is pricer than a cone from McDonald's or Dairy Queen, but you are paying for quality. I had a really disappointing experience at Soft Side. I ordered the Matcha ice cream, but accidentally took a pistachio instead since both flavors are green and there was no clear indication of which was which. When I realized the mistake, I immediately told the worker. Instead of helping, he laughed and scoffed at me, which felt extremely unprofessional. He then refused to remake the pistachio for the other customer, even though it was an honest mix-up, and I was forced to pay for another ice cream. What made this worse is that when he handed me the ice cream initially, he never said whether it was pistachio or matcha. If both flavors look the same, how is a customer supposed to know the difference without being told? Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately this experience lacked basic courtesy and accountability. I won't be returning. read more

Putting olive oil (and flaky salt) on soft serve is so simple but genius. The area isn't really somewhere you can sit around and hang out, it's more of a grab and go. But there are plenty of shops and things to do nearby that it's def a spot you should check out! Can't wait to go back and try other flavors.
