I brought my car in with a bad transmission and was informed that there would be a diagnosis fee of $250. I believe they have that as a gatekeeper because they overcharge so much that nobody should have them repair a car. They wanted to charge me $9000 for replacing my transmission when Kelly Blue Book for dealerships was under $6000. When asked to verify parts vs labor costs they never responded. Came in during their big "sale" was looking at a pre-own SUV. While we were waiting my husband started looking up information on it including Kelly Bluebook and they had this thing priced almost $15k over the "what you should pay at a dealer" on KBB. Also noticed right before the "sale" all the prices for the pre-owned vehicles were taken off the wed page. When we pointed this overpriced tag out they completely dropped talking with us about that vehicle. Instead started pointing us to the one and only model that we said from the get-go we did not want. We kept trying to go back to the one we wanted that was overpriced hoping to negotiate on the price but they had moved it off the lot at this point. Very unprofessional will NOT be returning. I know they need to pay for that fancy new build but this is definitely not the way to do it. read more

My husband and I purchased a 2022 Ford Edge Titanium this past weekend from this dealership. Once we got home Im looking at the breakdown sales receipt on our purchase and I see a $4,000 charge for a service warranty. The sales manager went over the paper work so fast at no time during the signing process did he stress to my husband that we were purchasing $4,000 worth of extra warranties on the car (won't be worth the paper that it is printed on). So today I called the dealership to question this charge Only to be jerked around being shifted from one person to another. It took me 7 calls and 7 promises that someone would call me back to discuss this matter with me and being lied to and hung upon twice to actually get to finally talk to the finance officer. Once I finally got him to take my call, he was very rude to me and let me have it on the phone. He informed me that he shouldn't be discussing this matter with me at all and that he put this additional warranty on the car in order to get us financed. (I still don't get it). He informed me to go ahead and cancel the warranty if I wished but that ford motor company would get the $4000 back not me. I don't think I have ever dealt with a more rude person in my life. I can tell right now that if something goes wrong with my car that I won't be able to get any help or support from this particular dealership. I wished I would have taken the time to go somewhere else. The salesman wasn't one bit interested in helping with our problem as well. They won't get any referrals from us nor will they get any of our business again. Truth is I dont think they even care. Just please, if you plan on purchasing a vehicle and you do use this dealership ask questions, read closely what you are signing, ask questions and tell the finance officer to slow down and explain things that are costing you extra. This was my $4000 mistake and I sure hate to see this happen to anyone else. I will be contacting Ford motor company about this matter! So, My boyfriend and I went to Ford here in Richmond to look at cars. We got approved for a fiesta or a 3 cylinder fusion that they wanted $400 a month for. So, we left our utility bills with them and one was our water bill that is due this week. They said they would try to get us a better offer and needed to keep the bills to do that. Well, My boyfriend went to go pick up the bills last night and they told us that they threw them away after faxing them. Annoying, but whatever. We both work and I'm also in school, so we have to pay online or over the phone because they close by the time we are off work or done with school. The account number was on the water bill and it was our first one and you need the account number to pay the bill. So, I call up there and I ask them if they could double check to see if the bill was there because we need it to pay our bill. The guy, Eric, says "Well, you can't just go up there during business hours with your ID?" So, I'm kind of annoyed. I just say "My boyfriend and I are either working or in school during normal business hours, so no." Then this guy has the AUDACITY to say "Well, did you buy the car? It says you were approved for the Fiesta and Fusion, what's wrong with those cars?" Way to deflect the situation by throwing away someone's personal information, asshole. Anyways, so now I'm pissed. I say "Well, no. We didn't. My boyfriend said from the get go he didn't want a Fiesta because he's too tall for them. His legs and knees hit the wheel even with the seat all the way back. And the fusion is 3 cylinders, that's a go kart." The guy then says "Well, my niece has the same fusion and she's put over 170,000 miles on it and it drives just fine. All cars are 3 cylinders nowadays that's just how they're made." So at this point, it is taking ALL of my energy not to start shouting because Brandon is sick and not feeling good as it is. So I just said "Let me know if you find a copy of my bill or find it and maybe not try to lose peoples personal information." So, he supposedly wrote my number down and will call me tomorrow but we will see. And whether we bought a car or not shouldn't dictate people losing our bills, but whatever. The good news is, after searching for our account paperwork from when we moved in, I found the account number to pay the bill but the point is, a business shouldn't lose people's bills or personal information. Then harass them over whether they bought a car or not because they screwed up. Anyways, don't go to the Madison County Ford in Richmond. read more

Pricing was problematic, I had $12k in equity in my trade, they wanted to keep that money. took MANY tries and several hours to get a deal that was semi-acceptable. The rebate $$ seem to have disappeared from the final deal after the fact. Said I wanted to see lease pricing, 'our lease system is down'. I was asked -- what would I like to complete the deal -- said I wanted a spray in bed liner -- no bed liner included. after the fact they said, yes, we screwed up, we will get it for you at dealer cost. their dealer cost was $200 more than I can get the same service from paul miller. First service appt -- my truck sat in their service lot all day, wasn't touched (I have the ford app for location) ... was told we couldn't diagnose your vehicle because ford servers had issues. We will reschedule.. NEVER DID. You can't find a worse ford dealer, go anywhere else. read more

Fu@k these assho&es! I called a week ahead to make sure they could fix my truck and gave them time to order parts. I was very specific about the fact that I needed a ride home with my two children which is less than a mile away or a vehicle for the day to which they said I would be able to drive vehicle off the lot and return it later that day to pick up mine. I even called the day before to double check that they still have a vehicle for me and then if they didn't they'd still be able to give me a ride to which they replied the vehicle is still there and if it's not they would be able to give me a ride. Well what do you know? I show up with two kids, booster seats, bags etc. and the bit&h that I spoke to on the phone twice ask me if We had a ride. Needless to say I told her I would not be returning or giving her any more of my business if I ever buy another vehicle again it will not be a Ford. You just lost a life long customer. You don't do that to a single dad with a 5 and a 6 year old. read more

I was looking for a dependable used vehicle and found a listing for one at Madison County Ford. I was told the vehicle was in stock and was gassed up and ready for me to come take a test drive. After driving almost 3 hours to see the vehicle, I was told there was a mistake and that the owners daughter-in-law was driving the vehicle and it was not on the lot and she was out of town. They tried to sell me other vehicles, but it had more mileage and not what I was looking for. The new sales man said he would try to make it right and would see if we could help by bringing the car to me or at least part of the way so that I didn't have to travel back. The manager told him no. I was then told for 2 more days that the vehicle would be back in and then suddenly the salesman stopped returning my calls. I have never see such an unprofessional group of liars in my life. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AND THEY DON'T DO WHAT THEY PROMISE!!!!!! read more

The people here were friendly but I feel I was taken advantaged of on my trade. I do not buy a lot of cars, this was my 3rd purchase in my life, and it shows. When we picked out what we wanted, they only focused on how much per month we wanted to pay. I had a discount from my work that gave an employee price on my new vehicle. Due to this discount, I believe I was offered significantly less than for my trade than my car was worth. The reason I say that, I was not shown a break down of the numbers until it was time to sign. The process was rushed and things were not explained. I understand I am at fault for not reading everything before signing, but it seemed deceptive to not be 100% transparent on what I was signing. I did not realize I was given $3000 for a car that black books (not blue book) in the poorest condition, at $4750 (which it was not). Now I see it listed for $6480, a 116% markup. I will not return to buy a vehicle here, nor will I recommend them any longer. To take advantage of a couple that is not experienced in buying cars is not good for building trust with your customers.
