We purchased an 04 Chrysler Sebring for $3,600 from these folks. Paid on it monthly. The story we…read moregot was that it had belonged to the owner's wife and had been taken very good care of. This did appear to be true, by the look of the car. But I'm no mechanic. I took it to one though to have the oil changed and without any extensive inspection, he agreed that it seemed to be a sound vehicle. Within 30 days, I discovered that the upper rear ball joints were shot ($600 fix). Then shortly after, the cruise control quit working and the inside of the driver door literally crumbled and the handle broke. Then within another month, a fuse started randomly blowing under the hood, and it wouldn't start until replaced. This would happen sometimes several times a day, or maybe not at all for several days. After a bit of checking, I learned the ECM was failing (code from the car). After about 5 months, a rod started knocking, signaling the end. There was more wrong with this vehicle than there was right. We visited them and explained all this. Wasn't about to sink more money into it than it was worth ($2700 for a used motor alone). They of course reminded me the car was sold as is. The best they could offer us, considering the aprox $3000 we'd already invested in it, was to put us in a car they had that they couldn't sell to anyone else (their words). They wanted another down payment otherwise. This crappy car, they wanted us to pay $2500 for. Felt like they took our misfortune and tried to turn it in to an opportunity for them to make even more profit and move a car they couldn't sell. I will never do business with them again.

In October 2017 my husband and I drove 30 minutes to look at an older, low-mileage truck that could…read morehaul my gooseneck horse trailer (this place used to be called Town and Country). I thought the price was fair given the low mileage (~$10K), and while I could tell there was rust, the dealership had sprayed a black coating on the undercarriage, for what we thought was anti-rust purposes, and lined the bed with a plastic liner. Well, it ran ok for a year, but then started to leak power steering fluid. I took it in to my mechanic and learned it was also leaking brake line fluid. The work to fix the brake system was complicated by the black coating sprayed on the underside because it was tarry and thick like bed-liner coating, which was actually trapping the moisture and making more rust, and the mechanics couldn't just unscrew stuff, had to cut stuff out. Several thousands of dollars later to fix the brake system for safety reasons, I have to take it back to the shop...for air in the power steering line, and now learn that the transmission is also leaking. I am subsequently advised by my honest mechanic that I shouldn't invest more money for repairs because I'd be spending more than what the truck is worth, and that I'd be better off donating it to a charity for a tax write-off, or taking my chances on a trade-in. Clearly this dealership was doing what it could to cover up the rusty state of disrepair this truck was truly in, and got off with as much $ for it as possible by a naive purchaser. Shame on us for our naivety, but shame on them for being underhanded. Buyers beware.

Carcure Auto sales Richmond 0/5 Stars - Nightmare…read moreExperience! Lemon Lot ... We purchased a Toyota Camry from Carcure on July 26th, but our excitement was short-lived. The next day, July 27th, the car started experiencing problems. We didn't receive a response until July 31st, when we asked Landon if we could trade in the car. He asked us to meet him at the lot in about an hour, but we waited for two hours. He offered a red Impala that we had previously test-driven and didn't like, which was years older than the Camry. He claimed he couldn't offer any other trade options, which could have been communicated via message. To note: On July 26th, we waited for over 30 minutes for Landon to return with the Camry we wanted to test drive because he was at the store. We test drove other vehicles to pass the time, we were only interested in the Camry. We reached out again on July 31st, after leaving unsatisfied, requesting a refund, but were ignored. We followed up on August 3rd and were met with the same silence. It's unacceptable for a dealership to disregard customers' concerns and refuse to address legitimate issues. We've lost trust in Carcure and would NOT recommend them to anyone. The lack of communication and customer service is appalling. If you're considering purchasing a car from this dealership, think twice. We regret our decision and hope others will learn from our experience. Unless the owner takes steps to improve customer service and addresses our concerns, we will continue to share our disappointing experience with others.
