The service advisor who was working with me was incredibly rude. They had a female advisor that was awesome, but she transferred to another position. This guy was snotty and pretty rude, when I had been there for over an hour and a half I asked how far they were in the process as the link provided simply showed that they were still doing the pre job inspection. My husband and I were desperate for a vehicle after ours broke down and couldn't be fixed. We are currently in chapter 13 bankruptcy and had no down payment available. We got a vehicle with his assistance alright. It came with a $1548 cost for state taxes..due within the first 30 days. Plus, the regular payment was due 45 days after we brought the vehicle home. Mr. Henderson had told us our first payment wouldn't be due until 45 days after we brought the vehicle home when we spoke previously on the phone. He said nothing about such an amount being due in the first 30 days. We should have said no, but didn't know what to do. We were over 2 hrs away from home and desperate for a vehicle. So I have been looking for a vehicle for a few weeks. My mom found exactly what I was looking for at Gates Honda in richmond and sent me a photo. So we went down to test drive it this past Saturday. I loved it immediately. Patrick was the one who was telling me about the vehicle and took us on the test drive. He was very energetic and informative. So since my husband was at work in Lexington I couldn't show him the vehicle so they said no prob! Here take it to him and let him see it and drive it and see what he thinks! So we took it and let him see it but he wasn't able to drive it much. But he said Tuesday we will come back and also have it inspected just to cover all our bases. So Tuesday comes and we were unable to get it inspected and Kim and Patrick were both great and patient with us. I felt so bad breaking an appointment after they had put it on hold for us on the lot. So Wednesday they took it to Toyota for us who my moms friend was going to look at it for us up there. We have been super picky and annoying through this whole thing I know we have but we had to just make sure. They also gave us the previous owners info so we could ask questions about some things. They were nothing but extremely helpful and accommodating to us. And today we finally came in and Kim took care of us. Even let us speak to service and got us the notes from the inspection Honda did themselves and the notes from the mechanic and the service they recommended which they had taken care of already. So we feel extremely confident in the quality of vehicle we bought. I am 9 months pregnant and forgot to bring snacks and I had a huge sugar crash and Kim was kind enough to get me some snacks and sweets to bring it back up. I would recommend gates Honda for anyone looking for a used vehicle. They won't sell you crap. They definitely take pride in making sure you leave in a great vehicle. Bill Henderson Jr. sent a flyer about helping with bankruptcy and getting into a car. The advertisement said they deliver the cars to you and work with multiple car dealers. Made initial contact filled out over the phone application. He asked for me to send my pay stubs. I asked for a email he said look at the flyer (red flag #1). I checked the flyer no email address, so I figured this is busy. He called several times on Monday and Tuesday. I spoke with him and his associate. I provided the documentation needed. He said it would be best if I came into the dealership which is in Richmond, KY. I asked if he worked with any dealers in Nashville, Bill said yes. When I called back again to check into the offer he said he has 6 dealers in KY (red flag #2). Nevertheless I went to Richmond to look at the car. Prior to that Bill sent me an email with the website to look at cars. I sent him two vehicles that I was interested in. Made an appointment for Wednesday. I asked Bill if he could go ahead and get the two cars ready. He said yes. Got to the lot only to find out 1 car was sold and the other car had damaged. So I didn't understand why it was on the site. I picked out two other cars. One was sold and the other he stated was not in my price range. I tested drove two other cars. I found one I liked. The site stated the car was 25,100 however Bill came back with the numbers. He stated the price was 25,998. Car note 597 and taxes 1798. (Red flag #3) I told him how did the car was priced differently online, Bill stated that the bank can make whatever price they want for a car (never heard that before). I asked about the car note and stated I wanted to stay under or at 550 ( he said will you make good money so what is 47 dollar). Bill doesn't like to listen. He like to talk over people. I told you can't go back to the bank. He said cause this is what the bank said and we can't go back. I politely told him to listen to me as I am the customer. Bill kept stating that he the only program that can help me and just being rude. I left without purchasing a vehicle. I still don't understand if I had to stay within 25000 but you give me car for 26000. I don't trust him. read more

If you go hear do not trust what they tell you when it comes to financing. I told the salesman I did NOT want my credit ran multiple times. He assured me he would only run it once. Well looking at my credit report he ran it 5 times. The sales manager calls me and even after I stated what I was told and what was done he keeps asking for my credit score. I told him no I would not give him my credit score when I was not applying for a loan with them and that if my credit was an issue the sales employee should have called and told me prior to running my credit an additional 4 times. The sales manager then says well it's only a point per each inquiry. That is NOT the point. The point is I did not give consent and the fact that he was condoning and making excuses makes me feel bad for anyone else that went through this company.
