We purchased an 04 Chrysler Sebring for $3,600 from these folks. Paid on it monthly. The story we…read moregot was that it had belonged to the owner's wife and had been taken very good care of. This did appear to be true, by the look of the car. But I'm no mechanic. I took it to one though to have the oil changed and without any extensive inspection, he agreed that it seemed to be a sound vehicle. Within 30 days, I discovered that the upper rear ball joints were shot ($600 fix). Then shortly after, the cruise control quit working and the inside of the driver door literally crumbled and the handle broke. Then within another month, a fuse started randomly blowing under the hood, and it wouldn't start until replaced. This would happen sometimes several times a day, or maybe not at all for several days. After a bit of checking, I learned the ECM was failing (code from the car). After about 5 months, a rod started knocking, signaling the end. There was more wrong with this vehicle than there was right. We visited them and explained all this. Wasn't about to sink more money into it than it was worth ($2700 for a used motor alone). They of course reminded me the car was sold as is. The best they could offer us, considering the aprox $3000 we'd already invested in it, was to put us in a car they had that they couldn't sell to anyone else (their words). They wanted another down payment otherwise. This crappy car, they wanted us to pay $2500 for. Felt like they took our misfortune and tried to turn it in to an opportunity for them to make even more profit and move a car they couldn't sell. I will never do business with them again.
