I was made really uncomfortable by the interaction so much so that I actually left and took my business elsewhere. I want to share my experience with CT Diesel so others can make an informed decision. I originally took my 6.0 Power Stroke to CT Diesel for an oil leak. I was told the leak was coming from the oil cooler. Since the engine was already apart, I discussed having the truck studded to help prevent the well-known 6.0L head gasket issues. I was sold and billed for ARP head studs as part of the repair. I was also told the glow plug harness was contributing to the oil leak and needed replacement. During the repair, I was informed the injectors could not be reseated and that new injectors were required. After getting the truck back, the oil leak was not fixed. The truck returned to CT Diesel and a second glow plug harness was installed. Later, I began experiencing temperature-related issues. CT Diesel replaced the oil cooler a second time. The temperature issues continued, and eventually I experienced a blown head gasket. I was then told the cylinder heads were cracked. CT Diesel installed replacement heads that I was told were new Jasper heads. However, the temperature issue still wasn't resolved. The very next day, CT Diesel installed a third oil cooler. The temperature issues continued even after that. I eventually took the truck to another mechanic. During their inspection, I was informed that the replacement heads on the truck were cracked and that the head gasket had failed. The mechanic also began identifying parts that CT Diesel had billed me for that were reportedly not on the truck, including the ARP head studs that I had specifically discussed, purchased, and was billed for. When I brought these concerns to CT Diesel, I was told the repairs were outside their one-year warranty period, despite the fact that the truck had accumulated fewer than 5,000 miles since much of this work was performed. I also pointed out that I repeatedly returned the truck to CT Diesel with the same unresolved issues, including bringing it back immediately after repairs because the problems had not been fixed. After multiple repair attempts, multiple oil cooler replacements, replacement heads, repeated visits, and significant expense, I am left with more problems than when I originally brought the truck in. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend CT Diesel and would encourage anyone considering them to thoroughly review their repair documentation and verify the work performed. read more

I just had to send my 2019 ram 2500 in for a wheel seal an some check engine light codes, turns out i was getting ready to need a turbo so here's what went on. Chris and the guys up there are covered in trucks mine was there 2 weeks, but Tasha answered my every call every day when i was checking on my truck. they got it finished up on a Friday I picked it up and drove it home noticed the exhaust break felt weak so I called Tasha and she called Chris told me that if anything happened over that weekend to let her know gave me her personal number well over the weekend I started hear loud engine noise called Tasha and they told me to bring it buy after work on Monday so I did turns out it was a faulty v band Chris stayed after 5 to fix my truck an now it's perfect the new fleece cheetah an new tunes are amazing but this review does not do them justice the support they have given me has been unreal.. they truly are the nicest people around. so new customers keep in mind they are busy as all get out so plan ahead if you can... CT Diesel Performance. Where do I start? I was moving a friend of mine from Ohio to Georgia and my 2015 Ram Eco Diesel truck broke down on interstate 75 South by Richmond, Kentucky, just south of Lexington. Four calls to Four different dealerships proved that none were really willing to try to help at all. If I wanted to wait 1 week to 1 month to get it looked at they would be of service. Lol. I ended up calling the closest diesel mechanic that was close. I really just wanted to get my truck and U-Haul trailer off the highway where semis were rocking my truck with each pass. Boy oh boy did we luck out. Chris, owner of CT Diesel was the closest mechanic and I could tell by how he answered the phone that he was all about helping people in need. Chris said that he didn't think that AAA would tow my my trailer so he would come and get it for me if need be. Well, he was right. He called who he thought was going to respond with the tow and they both got my truck and trailer to his shop. With their shop full of trucks they were currently working on, they squeezed me in immediately to get it scanned to see why it died just running down the highway. They said it was probably the tone ring on the crank as they are a common problem. That is exactly what it was. It was about 12:00 noon on Friday and they knew I was trying to get to Atlanta right away. Several phone call for parts proved there was only one of those things in the country, and it was already spoken for. This was not good. They had a blown ecodiesel in their shop they took apart and the tone ring on it was bad too. They called the dealership again to see if there were any cross reference parts and found one in Virginia which was 6 hours away. I asked them if I rented a car to pick it up and was back by morning, which was a Saturday, would they do the job for me. Matt, one of their mechanics said he would do it. They normally didn't work weekends but he said he would. In the mean time while Chris was getting ready to call to secure the Virginia part he ended up talking to one of the dealerships again. They said they had a new engine sitting at their shop and if he wanted to come and remove what he needed they would just order replacements for it. Off Chris went to the dealership with his tools and comes back with a new tone ring and crank shaft sensor. Matt jumped on the truck rightaway. Unable to finish that day they drove us to a hotel with some great recommendations for the evening. Matt came into work to finish up the job Saturday morning and the Chris came to pick us up from the hotel. They locked the trailer up in their shop for us over night and by the time we got to their shop the next day the truck was ready and hooked up to the trailer pointing south. It took CT Diesel less than 24 hours to get us off the highway, diagnose, find an impossible to locate part, repair and get us back on the road the next day You can't asked for a more knowledgable, kind and helpful company to do business with. I find out while I am there they really are a full service truck center that can back up there ads. If your in the area or want to travel a bit to have CT Diesel do your work, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Chris and Matt! read more

It's hard to find honest mechanics these days- Chris and this shop are one of them. I brought in an older dodge with a power loss & sucking sound. I just had the turbo replaced last year and feared the worst. Chris checked it out, and within 10 minutes found the hose that had fallen off the turbo. All fixed in minutes. he refused to accept payment for his time & work, too. It's rare that you find this high level of service anymore! He & his shop will have any work on my vehicles no question. I typically don't do reviews or rate a business on my level of happiness. Only because most businesses average work and want a heroes rating. But I have found a reason to make an exception. I have a 2013 Ram 3500 and was having turbo issues. We were 40 miles or so outside of Bardstown Kentucky and my engine light came on. Lost most power and exhaust brake was gone. I knew what had happened because I just had these same issues 6 months prior...Turbo and or turbo actuator. We're fulltime RV'ers pulling a 20,000lb 5th wheel. Not sure how we made the 40 miles without the turbo but, we did. We got setup at a campground outside of Bardstown Kentucky. This was on Sunday so not much else we could do. Monday morning. I got a hold of the business that installed the turbo in Phoenix AZ. It has a three year / 36,000 mile warranty. They were good to work with but the turbo suppler was NOT. I was given CT Diesel as a referral to do the work. This was absolutely the best thing that could have happed. Chris, the owner, took my call. I told Chris what happened and that we didn't have a lot of options and needed to get on the road as soon as possible. Chris has compassion for people that are stranded and need to get back on the road. I gave Chris the contact info for my Phoenix connection, and he took control of the situation. There's not enough time to go int all the conversations we had. Chris said that as soon as he had the parts in hand, he would get me in and fixed up that day so we could get back on the road. We had to be out of our campsite on Sunday. Chris said there was a campground down the road from his shop if I needed to move. I told him that I didn't think the truck could pull the trailer there. 70 miles away. NO PROBLEM, Chris said. I'll come get your trailer. Who Does That?!?!. Well, the part came in on Thursday and Chris had me in his shop as soon as I showed up and on the road in four hours. We are now in Nashville, and this was made possible because of Chris. I will praise Chris, his business and employees every day! We have never been treated so kindly. I can't think of how I can better show my appreciation, than referring Chris's Business.
