I took it to another reputable body shop, who immediately pointed out that the bumper was not prepped properly. The surface hadn't been sanded or treated with adhesion promoter before painting. When I brought this up to Mathew, he refused to take responsibility and wouldn't stand behind his work. Any professional shop knows that proper prep is the most basic step in refinishing a replacement bumper, so this was disappointing to hear. Now I'm left with a bumper that needs to be completely redone, at my expense, because of poor workmanship and a lack of accountability.
