A compact coffee station with light gray cabinetry, a coffee maker, and a stool, situated in a kitchen corner.

Madera is outstanding! The Madera team is very personable and professional. From the design stage to the final installation Madera truly delivered. Our kitchen cabinets are amazing, everything we expected and more. And we were able to get our cabinets much sooner than the other stores were offering. Our cabinets were delivered on the day they promised and installed the next day. And it's great to support a local Arizona business. Our experience was beyond our expectations!

When the cabinets arrived there were some problems. At first, like this one, these were met with a willingness to own and fix.

Why? 1. *They're just good people.* Professional, easy to work with, not pushy and EXTREMELY detail-oriented. 2. *One company.* They don't sub any work out to contractors. Everyone works for Retro Pro - plumbing, drywall, electrical, flooring, tiling - you make 1 call if any issues/questions come up. 3. *Detail oriented.* I am a professional project manager so it's in my nature to want specifics, measurements, plans and answers to my questions. Everyone here gladly shares the details and provides honest assessments. 4. *They're local.* They've been doing this for a long time with nearly a 5-star rating on Google and Yelp. Happy to support local businesses. 5. *Quality staff.* Projects like ours don't get done without people like Omar (project manager) and Oscar. I'm forgetting the tile-guys name! Eric came up with creative ways to rework plumbing to give us extra space. I sent a few Pinterest photos to Angela, who then gave us a few amazing design options. They worked diligently and always communicated via text before coming or leaving. Amazing experience all around (and beautiful bathrooms)!

We were told it would only take these five days to install the cabinets. Countertop measurements took place at end of January and countertop installation took place on February 18th. As of today, March 16th, the installation is still not complete and finished. DKB was last out on March 2nd and only completed most of the cabinetry related items and has yet to install some under countertop lighting, and install surfacing on the bottom side of some upper cabinets. Our project would only be this far if not for our constant follow up and phone calls. We were promised our concerns would be addressed back in February by a upper manager of DKB when they didn't schedule sufficient time for our installation the first time around. It is now two months this week since the one week when all work was supposed to be complete. Still over $1,000.00 in paid for work to be complete and no phone call or follow up by DKB to complete our improvements to our satisfaction. This whole process has been a bit frustrating and disappointing. We were not informed that the countertop installer and plumber are two different subcontractors. Our Designer was not experienced with cabinet lighting and electrical rough in needs and requirements. Unable to assist with any type of coordination efforts when requested to make sure power sources were prepared and ready. it wasn't until after the cabinets were installed and countertop measured that we learned our selected countertop as it turned out is not available in the size needed without additional joints in the slab. This caused more delays to our schedule. Had the limitations of the countertop material been discussed at time of design back in November, the design could have been changed. Again, just another example of inexperience we had to learn the hard way. Still no telling if or when our new cabinetry will be complete.

Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. We really couldn't be any happier with Better Than New Kitchens, and we LOVE our new kitchen. I'd highly recommend working with this company!

Isaac came out to do our final measurements and I could tell this was one detail oriented and talented human! He was super thorough and talked us through details we could change. Basically we were able to change and adjust whatever we wanted. It was amazing. Then when the install crew came out, we got Mike. YEESSSS for Mike! He was fantastic!!! He would adjust and alter things down to the exactly correct and balanced millimeter. He was so detail oriented, I never felt the need to even hover or check on anything. I trusted him completely. The scheduling contact, Steve, always texted me to let me know when someone would be coming out and was very responsive. Euro1 managed our counter install too, which was great, and Caesar was so nice! Even Sandra, the one greeting people up front, managing the phone calls, and handling payments - was so awesome, and such a bright happy attitude. They just have a very impressive team of people for you to work with from start to finish. ALSO - the impressive quality of their product was beyond what we even expected. When the cabinets showed up they were even more impressive than we thought they would be. High quality, thick, dovetail joints, soft close hinges, non chipping finishes, we were just thrilled. We are so happy with our new kitchen and plan to continue to work with them on bathrooms next! THANK YOU!!!!
