Every cake we've purchased from her was beautiful AND just as delicious!!! The flavors we tried were chocolate (never had a better tasting one anywhere), vanilla rum, marble and tres leche (I don't think she makes anymore, it was out of this world!) The cake needed to feed 75 people and I requested a custom Wonder Woman cake. Madelyn graciously agreed to make the cake - AND IT WAS FABULOUS. I posted a picture of the cake. The actual cake was a vanilla/chocolate marble cake. It was moist and all of my guests asked for her contact information - great sign. She is a fantastic pastry chef with extremely reasonable prices. Their cakes may be good...but their service SUCKSSSS...I went in there to buy a cake, I showed her my design and she actually told me to my face she woulnt do it, it was too complicated and didnt want to get into that...it was a tye die cake...really too complicated cause she needed to use a couple of colors. The main person which I figured is Madelyn herself never came outside not once to speak to me, ( Madelyn you are this buisness and should give your customer the respect they deserve without clients your shop is as good as done)... I was talking to her mother the whole time which may I add is super rude, everytime I pointed out a cake to her from their book, she would tell me it was to expensive, I mean for real lady how do you know how much money I have, I could have enough money to buy you out right now and you wouldnt even know it. Then someone else came in and instead of saying give me a second, she left me standing there and started speaking to the other customer, that person even told her, go ahead keep attending to her Im not in a hurry but the lady behind the counter was like "no dont worry about it I can help you, as if I was nonexsistent". Their store front is NASTY the cakes they have on display are older than the Effiel tower...lol to say the least, and their store inside doesnt look very clean at all, its messy and their display cabinet is full of junk, the floor everywhere is black and dirty...if this is the front I dont want to see the back where the cakes are made, it must be disgusting and gross, maybe they should get inspected. I had a complaint about a cake I ordered, I ordered marbled rum cake with chocolate filling I got vanilla with chocolate filling when I called and spoke to Madelyn presumably I was told no they didn't make a mistake. Now I called them to let THEM know they gave me the wrong thing and I was told I ordered the wrong thing. I have never been back since. I'm surprised they're still open at all. Madelyn makes beautiful cakes but sadly the one that she sold me for my daughters birthday was the worst tasting cake I have ever had. It tasted like a cake that was left outside for a couple of days. We couldn't even separate the tiers because they were STUCK.
