This place is a scam and if you want to do alterations, whether it be a suit, a pants and all the more so, a dress-- DO NOT USE MADELINE CLEANERS AND TAILORING!! (The one on ave M across from pressures bakery) Below are the main reasons to avoid using their services(disservice's): 1) THE WORK/ALTERATIONS WILL NEVER GET DONE. I have been already waiting two weeks+ for 2 pants alterations. The reason I suspect it takes so long is that they really don't have a tailor at hand with official working hours. Therefore, it all depends on "when she(the tailor) is in". 2) DECEPTION! First time I came in, manager acted as the tailor(Not having her tailor in, she didn't want to lose a potential costumer...), "doing the measurement", when she is clearly not qualified to do so, and was poorly done as a result. 3) Being told that you are being picky for asking what you want! 4) Most importantly, RUINED PRODUCTS!!! Besides for the list above, they have ruined the 2 Shabbos suit pants that I gave, and do not want to give me a refund on the amount I paid(80$). (THEY ARE A CASH ONLY BUSINESS- not able to dispute. Terrible tailoring. Do not go here if you need anything tapered, hemmed, zipper replaced or any alterations. I've tried this tailor multiple times because it's close to my home and the owner is nice, but the tailor does really bad work...even when corrected and given extra time. He is also unreliable so the wait time is long on top of the prices being high. You can't charge top dollar for substandard work. read more

After our building caught fire all our stuff had some nasty smoke damage even though none of it was outright destroyed. Scouring the interwebs led us to this place to try and de-stink it. I called and spoke with Patricia who was totally knowledgeable about their specialty smoke damage cleansing process and made me feel like they did this all the time, which was reassuring because I had no idea how this was supposed to work. I gave them about four giant garbage bags full of stinky down bedding and suits and other office gear. When she saw the amount of stuff we had Patricia wrangled a very kind discount for us which applied to everything we brought for the next 30 days - this was hugely beneficial after the jaw-dropping total that everything came out to. But all our stuff came back to us not only completely free of gross chemical bonfire smells but somehow looking shiny and brand new, so it was totally worth it. We liked the results so much we ended up calling them to clean our smoky mattress too. The guys met me at our smoked-out old building, hauled a queen mattress down four flights of stairs, drove it to the new place, and scrubbed out all the sickness that resulted from the fire and then languishing in a closed-up ashy wasteland for a week. Also not cheap but pretty much saved us the $700 difference between the cost of the cleaning and a new bed. Madelaine's process uses some perc-free eco-shenanigans and they give our stuff back packaged with tissue paper and lovely little bows - they basically treat everything like it's about 50 times fancier than it actually is. The location isn't super convenient but the free pickup and dropoff makes that totally irrelevant, which is great because there is no reason I won't send them everything I own from now on. read more

I have finally had it with these cleaners. I admire that they do CO2 and cut a wide swath for delivery, but they are the most expensive cleaners I've used, and the most disorganized. Twice in the past week they have not shown up for pick up when they said they would, without calling me to tell me my pick up was cancelled. Awful business. I give one star for offering CO2, and one for the neatness of their wrappings. But they are just too much money for too much flakiness. read more

I wish i can give this place -0 review! I brought my expensive Mackage jacket to get dry clean and i asked the women there it has to be dry cleaned different than other jackets because of fur. Right there i got nasty attitude back saying how she knows how to work with that brand and fabric, right than i should of took my stuff and leave, but i decided to give it a try. Price was $100. I picked up my jacket about two weeks later and OMG before the jacket was nice light grey color and after "dry-cleaning" it turn greasy, different color and ruined fur. After contacting them via phone i received more attitude from so called "manager" and instead of trying to help me or re do the job for free since i already payed $100 for ruining my jacket she just hung up the phone with words " i have no time for this". I am very easy person, never complain but this place does not deserve to be in business! read more
