if i could have this place shut down i would,that nasty lady that is supposedly managing the place is a rude and disrespectful woman,and at least 50% of the washing machines and dryers are out of order...during this covid 19 pandemic i asked her a question about the dryers because i wanted to dry my clothes and leave asap,i told her to please ask another woman there not to take up all the dryers so i could use some (the woman was using 10 dryers) the manager literally got in my face yelling because she thought i should mind my business,"its her store and i dont ask questions"..i had to ask her at least 4 times to step back and respect social distancing...she did not let me fold my clothes although everyone else was folding theirs...it was a scary situation and absolutely no social distancing order is in place...anyone can walk in and crowd the place. what a disgrace! read more

I used to work there at night cleaning.I nit only cleaned but sanitized. The owner did not want me to sanitize with a 4oz chlorox to 1 gallon solution for wiping and cleaning the bathroom. Many people leave discarded masks, nose tissues , even soiled underwear. So I felt it necassary to spray that area. Subsequently I was fired without notice..I had been there 6 years and never missed my duties, also was knew about electrucal.and plumbing. They had new updated dryers and no information on how to use them. The workers were NO help whatsoever. I placed in my curtains and other materials and when I pulled them out they were all scrunched up and shrunk. Not once did they inform me of what the levels of heat mean or how severe they were. I've been taking my dry cleaning there for years but I won't anymore. They lost a black skirt of mine and it's been a month that I'm still waiting for either my skirt or a reimbursement! I've had to call and show up every week and nothing but excuses! And the manager had the audacity to say " you can bring your other clothes! NOT! Talk about poor customs service! I am sitting on my couch right now trying to forget about the hour I just spent at this establishment trying to figure out what happen to my bed comforter that I dropped of on November 15th. I guess I should start at the beginning when dropping off the comforter I should have know that better and went along with the bad feeling I had from the beginning. My girlfriend had all ed earlier that week and got a price quote to have said comforter dry cleaned and they quoted her 12 dollars but when I went there they said sorry it's 18th. So the front desk woman called the manager who I spoke with (Mildred) and she was like sorry but that's not the price and we weren't back and forth I said you know what let's just meet in the middle since I'm here already charge me 15 dollars and I will be happy. So she aggreed. This was Sunday afternoon I asked the woman when I can pick it up and she said Wednesday it will be ready since they had to send it out for dry cleaning. She took all my info, name, address, phone number and gave me a ticket for it. Today is the 26th Thursday which is about 11 days from dropping it off. So I go there with the ticket and cash. And she's having a hard time finding the item then she looks in the computer and says ohh it says here that it was picked up Tuesday morning of this week which is the 24th. I'm like impossible, called my girlfriend just to double check maybe she picked up before me buy she told me no and kept telling me I was joking right since I usually do have a sense of humor. I continued to tell the woman that how could someone puck it up if I have the ticket in hand? She was like maybe someone gave your name and number. I'm like we'll then you should have some record of signature? They have notebooks all over the front desk with ticket numbers, names and signatures. She said no and kept insisting that I picked it up. She refused to give me the managers number to call myself and when I did speak to a Manger or owner they kept insisting g that he knows people like me that do things like this. I kept telling him sir all I want is my comforter that belongs to a set that I own. He continued to curse at me speak to me rudely and insisted that I did pick up the comforter. This place is under organized and very unproffesuonal. I am going to be forced to take legal action since they are not going to check the camera to see who took my comforter. I honestly do not want to be reimbursed I rather have my originally comforter back which My entire bedroom is basically the exact color scheme from the rug to the pillows and even the curtains which where recently bought. Instead of apologizing and reassuring me that they would get to the bottom of this they accused me and made me feel like some sort of criminal. He kept repeating to me " I know a lot of people like you, hundreds of people like you that do this". I'm not sure what type of people this man associates himself with but someone made a mistake or stole it and instead of taking responsibility for this he throws accusations at paying customers. Unfortunately Big Apple Laundry is the only laundromat in my immediate neighborhood that does wash & fold. I honestly think they are one of thew worst run businesses I have ever come across. The people who work there are rude and when they lose clothes or mess them up (buttons ripped off, tears in the clothes) and you point it out, they will actually argue with you and try to tell you you are an idiot - you obviously never put that article of clothing in the bag or somehow the rip is not their responsibility. They also often are not ready with the clothes when they say they will be. I have gone there a lot out of lack of choice but their terrible service is sending me packing. read more

I used to really like this place but they've gone downhill. There's one of those donation bins for old clothes in front of the entrance. Hence, there were piles of garbage clothes right in front of the door, which keeps people with their carts full of laundry from getting in and out. There is very little seating. They use money cards instead of coins to pay for the laundry, which cost three dollars each. On a recent visit, none of my cards, with a total of about $15 on them, worked. Of course, my complaint to the desk worker had no effect other than a shrug. And I didn't get my three dollars back for the cards either. On the positive side it's fairly clean, and you don't have to pay for the dryer. read more
