... before and after shot of the tinting on my 2012 Toyota Camry, which I got tinted in 2015 and have absolutely loved it. It came with a lifetime warranty. Who EVEN does that? So, last week, I noticed the back window was foggy looking and I honestly couldn't see out of it clearly. Not bad for NINE years, but hey... let me call the owner about the warranty. He was a little rough around the edges on the phone, but I remember him being THE NICEST MAN when I had the work done. Maybe having a bad day, who knows (?) So he says he will honor the warranty and do I still have my receipt. Yes, I do. Took it back today and everything worked out as planned. I thanked him and gave him a nice tip for squeezing me in, his time and honoring the warranty... Thanks Tim! read more

I have had four cars tinted over the last 10 years with this shop.. no flaws on any of them. super clean work. no bubbles, no blemishes , no creases.. Highest quality film used, 3 tints to choose from. light , medium and limo tint.. i used limo on the back side windows, medium on driver and passenger, and light or medium on the back window for visibility. with the limo on back sides, the rest become dark enough and you wont get pulled. So cool, this place rocks.. the best prices and service ever 3-4 hours usually. enjoy..!! Neil ..Cypress read more

Excellent service and great prices. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in getting their windows tinted. The only downside...there's no way to leave a voicemail and text since it's a landline. I recommend calling after 1pm. He's worth the wait read more

Critical: Professionalism If i can give zero star I would. Just very rude on the phone. I used this business before & I wanted to replace my windows due to being faded. It supposed to be on warranty but I really do not mind paying for it since it has been years. But the person I spoke to on the phone does not want my business.( thinking it will be free work for him, so he does not wanna give me time or day) Very rude, not helpful at all! and He gives me the run around. I referred a lot my family to this tinting place. Never again! You need a better phone customer service! read more

The owner was nice enough, but the product used was not good enough for hotter summers. It became foggy and purple and extremely dangerous. When I called back to ask about warranty, there was definitely some attitude from him. The Solar Free Tint manufacturing company also seems to not care very much about their "lifetime warranty" and helping find dealers for you. Most of the tinters I talked to said they either never heard of the Solar Free products or swore off of them. read more

Just got my second car F80 M3 tinted here and looks great with no issues or bubbles. I had our Prius tinted 5 years ago and it's still great and no fades or bubbles, I read some horrible reviews below but I had no issues at all...I guess that's why I brought my M3 back. I understand Tim is old skool and not those slick talking over the phone salesman, but I think he's great at what he does and so far I am back to back satisfied with his price and svc. I know the tints are not 3M but after 5 years rain, sun and tornado since pretty solid and shit! I tinted the 3 shade and don't go darker or else ya'll be dealing with some popo messing with you. read more

I solicited estimates from at least 10 other window tinting companies, so I'm hoping that this will help you! Most companies came back with a mix up of plain tint, dyed tint, and ceramic tint.. and a variety of prices to do our windshields and sunroofs... It all seemed like mumbo jumbo to me, because I didn't know there were so many choices.. and, is it worth triple the price if the business used ceramic or dyed tint? The Jury is still out for me, if any of the others are so much greater because they use a different type of tint.. when i pulled up to this business, i found this man who owns this company to quickly quote me a price of $160, which includes the windows and back windshield.. no extras, no tax.. Other companies seemed they had extra prices they wanted to throw in, which is a way of hiding fees, that they will charge you when they finish.. Go here, you will not be disappointed with the price, or the awesome job he did on my windows! Don't be confused with all the different prices others have, just go here! maybe i should do my own test, if the other type of tint is that much better.. i doubt it ! DON'T GO HERE!!! I don't know how there are so many 5 star reviews. He's really good at being nice to you when you're a paying customer. But when you have to go back because your tint faded AND bubbled, he becomes an absolute JERK. I have the original invoice but apparently he doesn't have the time and re-schedule me twice, but didn't bother to let me know until I came in for my scheduled appointment. I realized he was never going to honor the lifetime warranty when he shouted at me "I DON'T HAVE TIME TODAY, I TOLD YOU I'M BUSY, THINGS CHANGE" ... baffled by his mood swings, I left because this man is crazy read more

I just bought my Kia Optima and it came with the back windows already tinted. I wanted the two front ones tinted ASAP. After finding Made In The Shade on Yelp, another friend of mine happened to refer me to Tim. I gave him a call and he was making me laugh within the first 30-seconds. One day later, I'm getting my windows tinted. The prices are insanely good considering it has a lifetime warranty. Tim is a very honest man and gave me the info I needed to choose which tint I wanted. The end result was a flawless blend from the back windows to the front. It was matched perfectly. I highly recommend him to family and friends. OC is full of insanely inflated prices and I'm a lucky gal to be referred to a kind professional like Tim. read more

YES! A VERY HONEST BUSINESS!! For any other tint job I need in the future I will def. come back to Made In The Shade. Tim and his brother are awesome! Tim should be a comedian because the moment you step in, you're already laughing because he's clever and silly. You'll leave like you have known this man for years! The tint job he did was really good and very inexpensive. You don't get that feeling of being ripped off when you leave. And that is how you should always feel. This is my second visit to Made in the Shade Window Tinting and let me tell you, I'm impressed by how nice these guys are and honest! I took in the past my 2005 Accord which I still have and about two weeks ago took my 2010 Honda Civic. I visited Tim, the owner, which he does work on the cars and asked him about pricing for my 2010 Honda Civic. He said "I'll do it for you for $130.00 flat". I was like WOW! That is a deal and I'll be back to get this done. I called him and told him that he quoted me $130.00 to tint my Honda Civic. He said over the phone, "yes, if I told you $130.00 to tint the car, then that's what I'm going to charge you". Amazing! This guy and his brother are great. I dropped off the car around 11:00 AM and it was done by 2:00 PM. While I was waiting to pay Tim and the brother were really nice to me. Tim made small talk and asked me where I live and normal stuff. I live in Cypress as well and will take my third car here to get a tint job. These guys are good and honest plus I'm helping my local small business. Please try them and see their reviews. They are all really good! These are honest and do excellent work on your car. The work Tim did was amazing!!! Great customer service and so quick to get it done!!!!

You would think a lifetime warranty means they do quality work. The tint started bubbling after three years. You would also think a warranty means if there is bubbling they would redo the job. I made an appointment with them at 9:15am. I came in at 9:05am showed them the original invoice and they noticed the license plate didn't match. I had a license plate change as the old license plate was mangled. So I rushed back home, found some paperwork that showed my old license plate number and called back at 9:16am. He said you can show me the paperwork and I'll review as for your appointment slot has already been filled. I drove to the shop anyways and got there at 9:20am to find no customers there. I showed him the paperwork and he said okay you'll have to come back another day, I've already filled your time slot. I was pretty respectful until he told me aggressively that he doesn't have time to work on my car today. The parking lot was completely empty and he was watching movies... I would give him two stars for the work that lasted 3 years, but his dishonesty and yelling at the customer earns him a 1 star. Also the tinted faded so much it's almost completely gone. I wish this went much better than it did, I didn't know this crappy customer service had existed. I've brought 3 different cars here. Funny how the level of customer service changes when your trying to utilize the lifetime warranty vs paying for service. read more

Tim is by far the best! Per the majority, every car I have Tim is my first and last stop for window tint.

i lives in cypress for 51 years and always had my cars tinted at made in the shade. it was great when owned by casey berwick. the new owner tinted my 1993 bmw 325 and left finger prints on my rear window. when i asked him about that he said that that was embedded in the window and not fingerprints. i took it to get a second opinion at another tint shop and they said not only are they fingerprints but the was a lot of bubbles. he refused to redo and only offered to remove it. i even told him i would give him cash up front to redo it and if it was like he said the marks are, then he would keep all the money. NOPE - he just said sorry but that is the way it is. this owner WILL NOT stand by his work. do not go here because if anything goes wrong he will say too bad. i attached a photo of the fingerprints joseph carfagno read more

Perfect example of "you get what you pay for". On a budget? Can't afford a good tint? Then this is the place for you. Otherwise DO NOT go here. Tint quality is HORRIBLE. Had my tint for less than two years and it completely faded. Had the limo tint done all around and it is now see through. Took it back because of the so called "life time warranty" and his response was, "it is not faded enough". To prove how faded it was I had an "In loving memory" sticker on my rear windshield and when I removed it you could still clearly read the words due to the surrounding tint fading! Thought maybe I just had bad luck with my tint but that was not the case. Had my mothers and my sisters car done here as well. Both cars are in the same condition. Tint completely faded. To add to the issue one car isn't just faded but also bubbled all over. Never going back to this place. Horrible tint and horrible service. Attached photos for proof. The photos show a BMW X 5 with their limo tint all around. Tint faded and bubbles within the year. See the building through the window? Yea not very limo to me and how could you miss those disgusting bubbles. read more

I've had two vehicles tinted here - my wife's Jeep and my truck. I had them do my wife's jeep about 2.5 years ago and it still looks great. Because it came out good and he convinced me that he had a "full lifetime warranty against fading, peeling and cracking", I had him do my truck 14 months ago. At the end of the day - I should have gone somewhere else. I dropped my truck off in the morning to have it done and when I picked it up that afternoon, the tint looked lighter than what I wanted. He told me that "it would get darker as it dried" so I left with it (not convinced that it would get any darker). I returned a week later and showed him that it still wasn't as dark as I wanted it (of course it didn't get any darker as it dried). He told me that there was nothing that he could do to help. I was extremely frustrated at the time and knowing what I know now, I should have made a huge fuss and stuck to my guns at the time. Fast-forward 14 months and I took it back to him today (6/25/5015) to show him how much it has faded. There is a solid 1/2" line along the top of the windows where it was the original darkness (which was too light to begin with) and the remainder of the window is clearly lighter than the 1/2" along the top edge. He told me today, "If the color faded to red or purple, I could do something about it, but that is just faded - there is no way to stop that from happening." I went back and forth with him and finally walked away knowing that he really didn't stand behind his work like he claims. read more

I would've given this company 1 star, but their prices were decent, so I wanted to take that into consideration. Their customer service, however, was absolutely terrible. I called to get a quote over the phone and spoke to someone who was already a bit hard to understand. He asked me the same questions a few times and when I asked if he had time to get my car done, he had the nerve to say, "I already answered that question, do you really want me to answer it again?" If you want my business, don't talk to me like an idiot. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have got all my cars tinted from Tim in the last 10 years. Never had one problem, until my wife back windshield tint started to have bubbles earlier this year. It got worse that my wife was have problems viewing. We reached out to Tim to see what's going on. Tim said if you have a voucher it should be covered under warranty, however did not know exactly what the problem. Tim said most likely the product went bad. This was done in November 2012. I did not have the accrual invoice but did find the credit card statement with the Made in the Shade charge clearly shown. Tom would not honor it - saying needs the exact invoice. He said the regular fee to redo it again would be $60, but since I showed him the statement he gave $10 discount and redid he back windshield for $50. He is good guy, and his shop is clean. He certainly has a dry sense of humor. I will certainly go back to him again. read more

I brought my car to Made In The Shade Window Tinting. Tinting my car's windows was the best decision I made. The car is so much cooler on the inside and the harsh sun light, during mid-day is no longer intense. My car is cooler and looks cooler. I wish I brought my car here sooner. I learned about Made In The Shade through my husband, who had his car windows tinted here. My sweets had been recommending I bring my car to Made In The Shade sooner. I wish I had listened to him. But better late than never. Recently, I had the windows primarily tinted, because I am a new-mommy-to-be and want to protect my newborn from the harsh rays of the sun, while my baby sits in the baby car seat. I have to give my little one the V.I.B. treatment -- very important baby. My little one will be styling in the back seat now. But since I have tinted the windows, my drive is so much nicer and the car doesn't feel like an oven, when it's been parked in the hot sun. Sophal (TIM) Chhiv, the owner of Made In The Shade did an excellent job in installing the window tint film on my cars windows. I am so thankful for the good work Tim did on my vehicle. The window tint service is professional and quality work. The service I received at Made In The Shade automatically came with a life warranty. Plus, the pricing for tinting my windows was reasonable. This was the best investment I made for my car and little one. I love my pimpin' momma mobile. Made In The Shade provides: Excellent Customer Service & does Excellent Work! I had a hard time finding the address at first, since the location's sign from Lincoln is rather inconspicuous, but once I saw the number address, I pulled in to the rear and found the place on the end. read more
