Jose was amazing, and incredibly professional! During these COVID times, Jose kept his distance and wore his mask. In regards to his work, Jose fixed my shower very quickly and efficiently, and it runs great! read more

I noticed my sink hot water streaming Saturday night. Nothing I read on YouTube turned it off. "What to do on a weekend?" Sunday morning after reading so many positive YELP reviews, I sent photos and text to Made In Chicago Plumbing. Jose responded quickly, quoted a reasonable price and arrived within an hour. He fixed the faucet and replaced a flapper on a toilet for me. Jose explained each step he was doing, why certain parts were needed and other parts were not. He showed me the basement shut off valve. No overselling, he gave me the receipts for his two purchases. Jose and Made in Chicago Plumbing earned every one of their many 5 star reviews. I'll call him again in a heartbeat! I highly recommend this awesome company! read more

The best thing I can say about Jose from Made in Chicago Plumbing...is that he picks up when called and comes out! Not all plumbers pick up their phone. It's kind of embarrassing to say that I've had to call Jose out twice in the last 3 months for my tenant to rod out the kitchen sink and then to replace a bathroom faucet. The first time was on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, he picked up and came out within a couple hours. 2nd time was a Saturday evening, he picked up and came Sunday morning. Fast forward to Polar Vortex 2019. Two separate friends had their pipes burst yesterday. I referred them to Jose. They called and he picked up the phone and fixed their pipes. So yea, the guy picks up the phone, does the job quickly. He texts to let you know when he is on his way, sends an email receipt afterwards. I'm worried about him blowing up on Yelp - cause then he won't be able to help me when I call! (That happened to another plumber I like!) read more

Another great experience with Made in Chicago Plumbing. Our older 8-unit condo building had leaking pipes and we called Jose for emergency help. He promptly returned our text messages and came out to find the leaks, repair the pipes and turn the building water back on. He's my go to plumber. Highly recommend without reservation. read more

Don't believe 24/7 hours please, and here is a less than 5 star review. Oh and no 'senior discount ' either. My ejector pump needed replacing. Called 2/9 due to the 5 stars and 24/7 hours. Got an appt for 2/10, had that cancelled and pushed to 2/11. Mentioned in text I was 70 and wet vaccuming seepage unrelated to pump, slowly. When I paid the bill and went downstairs, mud was EVERYWHERE. No tarp on now muddy carpeted stairs. I've never had a workman leave a job in such filth. I PRAY he correctly replaced pump. Donezo. Unless pump work was also done poorly. See photos. Invoice reads "Chicago Plumbing & Sewer". read more

Jose came out within a couple hours of me calling with a hot water heater problem - extremely reliable and I would highly recommend him to anyone. read more

We needed rough-in plumbing done for two bathrooms in our 136 year old house. Jose did professional work, correcting former problems and bringing things up to code, setting a great foundation for our remodels. He responded quickly, coming out an extra time to correct an issue that came up for us. Very reliable and skilled! read more

I had a water heater installed and these guys were great! Fast response time & they arrived on time. The existing copper pipes did not quite a fit for the new heater so Jose added additional copper to correct the problem. I would call these guys again for any additional plumbing fixes. read more

It's almost a shame to write another five star review for these guys. After all, clearly they are AWESOME and (for whatever reason) haven't blown up yet on Yelp. Anyway, my experience was exactly like everyone else's that you can read below. Here's what happened. My tenant called me, said that the toilet had broken. I didn't even have to show up. In ten seconds, I had called Made in Chicago. He offered to be there within 90 minutes. It was even too fast for me! I asked if he could push to 8:30 the following morning. He showed up ten minutes early the next day, called my tenant, and made the fix. Easy. I never even showed up. And I paid online. The tenant was delighted, the price was right. A plumbing fix could literally not have been any easier. If there were a thousand stars, I'd give em all to Made in Chicago Plumbing. read more

I called Made In Chicago Plumbing to help with an issue regarding my garbage disposal. I thought it might be a quick fix, but I didn't know what was wrong. Rather than making a $200 service call, Made in Chicago Plumbing walked me through the process of resetting my garbage disposal free of charge. They were detailed and personable. I greatly appreciate them. read more

There's nothing worse than experiencing a hot water heater malfunction in the middle of a Chicago winter. Especially when your wife just worked out (needing a shower) and your kids haven't had their baths. Enter Jose. We made the call to Made In Chicago Plumbing. Jose was extremely fast to respond, treated our situation as something that required special, immediate attention, and very patient with me as I asked a bunch of "engineer" questions. Long story short, Jose was able to easily fix our issue and was respectful of us from a costing perspective not trying to play the add-on game. I would recommend Jose for your plumbing or water heater needs to anyone who would listen. This is a great gem of a company right here on the North Side. Keep this phone number handy!!! Thanks again Jose for all your help and support. read more

Had a leak under my kitchen sink - Plumber came same day within 90 minutes. So reasonable. I had a disposal and faucet he could have installed but he said that wasn't needed - small fix solved the problem. Very impressed - will use Made in Chicago again for sure read more

Easy to contact, prompt response, good work, average price. I will use their services again!

Jose from Made In Chicago Plumbing is very responsive. Within an hour of my call, he showed up at my house. He has 17 years of experience as a plumber, and he does high-quality work and offered a 6-month warranty on my bathtub faucet stem replacement job. I have used him once before a couple of years ago and will continue to call him for plumbing needs. read more

Jose was great - prompt, very responsive and focused on customer safety. He came prepared with adequate personal protective equipment.

I manage 7 rentals and my home and have tried several different plumbing companies throughout the years. I really liked how this company simply wanted to do the job and help me. I had water coming up through the basment floor drain. It was after office hours for most plumbers. I called several companies that were supposedly still open but they would not come out until the next day. Made in Chicago Plumbing was very responsive. Mark came out within the hour. He was very patient, found the problem and took care of it and all at a reasonable price. What else can you ask for? That is great service! read more

We live in a home that is 101 years old. Last year we needed all our galvanized pipes changed out to copper in the whole house. Jose from Made In Chicago Plumbing did the whole job for us, he worked so hard from morning to late and did the job within three days. Was very responsive, respectful, hard worker, honest and neat. We also called him again this year to change out our toilet, sink faucet, shower faucet and laundry pipe. Did a great job, will only use him for all our plumbing and will recommend him highly. As people know it is so hard to find good trades people, his one you can always count on. read more

We had some leaking around the base of the toilet, and Jose and his team were able to come out quicker than any other plumbers. We thought it was going to be a fairly quick and simple job of replacing the gasket, but it turned out to be much more complicated due to an original poor installation of the toilet by previous owners years ago. Jose had to order special parts and come back multiple days, but he did an excellent job and provided exceptional customer service. He charged a very low rate for the amount of time he had to spend fixing the issue, and he even had someone come out and fix our drywall for free after some water accidentally leaked during the repair process. We would use them again (though hopefully we don't need to), and I highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing problems. read more

We had a major issue with water pressure and it turned out that the main water service pipe needed to be replaced, from the house to the Buffalo Box in the city pavement. Jose was able to have the work completed with the help of his partners at Almighty Rooter in a timely matter. They completed the work quickly despite the requirements of obtaining a Chicago city permit and a city inspector approval, and despite the timing of the holiday season. The job was completed wonderfully, we have awesome water pressure now, and all of the faucets and fixtures in our house now work perfectly! Thank you Jose!! read more

Hubby called this company twice for separate issues and they were great both times. Jose worked with us to accommodate our hectic schedules. He was on time, worked quickly, cleaned up after himself and finished the work to our satisfaction. In short, the service was excellent and we highly recommend them. read more

We've been doing some work on our house in Oak Park and had some bad experiences with plumbers, so I'm pleased to report that we finally found a good one. He diagnosed and fixed our water pressure and heating problems quickly, and at a reasonable price. We'll be using them again. read more

These guys are the REAL DEAL! Plumber Jose came out and fixed my issue with my stubborn clogged tub in less than 30 minutes! Very efficient, professional and courteous as well. With a 90 day guarantee on all work performed, it simply does not get any better than that! I high recommend Made in Chicago for ALL your plumbing needs. Ask for Jose! read more

Outstanding! I needed what I thought would be a simple replacement of a leaky bathroom faucet and replacement of pipes underneath. It turned out to be more complicated due to old condo pipes and one problem led to another. Jose and his assistant, Brad, were amazing and made numerous trips to the hardware store for unexpected needed supplies for the multiple problems that arose. Jose has the patience of a saint, is a perfectionist, very fairly priced and honest and will not leave until he is sure the job is done perfectly. It was truly my lucky day to have found Jose! read more

We called this morning about a frozen pipe, based on a 5-star review here yesterday, and had the identical experience. He answered the phone immediately, arrived a couple of hours later as soon as he finished the job he was on (and called first to let us know he was on his way), and thawed the pipe quickly and efficiently. We were lucky - the pipe had not burst or broken, so that was all that was needed. We're very satisfied and would call him again. read more

We needed faucets replaced and some general plumbing work, we called Made in Chicago Plumbing. Jay called us back, set up an appointment, showed up on time and did the work. He did a great job. A few days later we noticed a leak and called Jay. He called us back and said he would be by soon, well he arrived earlier than the appointment. The level of professionalism is refreshing. We're very happy with his work and will use him again. Thanks Jay! read more

More than once, we have had an emergency situation and Jose has come out the same day (the exception was a busted sub pump on Easter, but he was there the next day!) Jose and his team are knowledgeable, explain problems in detail, and charge a very fair price. I highly recommend them! read more
