Very unsatisfied with this company thus far. Fist step was they were late to the first meeting and this, after a two hour window of waiting. Second, they promised to provide quote within a couple of days of visit. That was not done. In fact, I can them ten days after visit, left a voicemail and now 13 days after visit, still no response. I had reached out to A Solution Sewer & Plumbing Inc. for a plumbing issue that I was having. I had found their business information on the BBB website. I highly recommend this company for any major plumbing repairs. When the plumbers come out to assess the damages, they will have all of their equipment with them. The plumbers that work for this company have good customer service. They are honest, straight to the point, and they listen to the customer. Also, I had used this company as my second opinion company to assess the damages. My shrubs' roots were clogging my main sewer, causing my sewer water to come back into my basement. The plumbers told me that I needed to have a portion of my sewer line replace to fix the clogging issue in my front yard. The Solution: This company had to perform an excavation in my front yard to repair the sewer line. Their treatment plan was to replace the damaged part of the sewer line. Included with the treatment, they had installed an outside cleanout valve to the main sewer line and removed and destroyed the shrubs and their roots in the yard that was damaging my sewer line. This company also coordinated with the City of Chicago by pulling city permits to perform the excavation. Post Repair: As for my home sewer line, everything is working fine with no problems. This job took two days to repair. The first day was to unclog the line and triage the line to use my plumbing. The second day was to finish off the repair and coordinate the certification of proper sewer line replacement by the City of Chicago. read more

These guys are great. Very professional. I've had an ongoing issues with dirty water backing up in the kitchen sink in my first floor condo. A Solution coordinated a team of guys to hydro-jet all the lines, vacuum the catch basin and rod the line from the sink. Also ran a camera up the lines to make sure it was clear. Way over priced and felt like they were trying to take advantage of the situation since it was they day before Christmas. $650 for pumping a septic tank and $450 to locate the tanks opening even though the tank was already exposed im not going to be a customer ever. I did my part as a customer and warned you this company will rip you off but you dont have to take my word for it you can see for yourself by the way thier reply is totally made up i called once and said the tank was 5x3x3 and the estimate was based on that and i called only once i really didn't need to call one more time since im not interested in paying 1000$ for pumping a septic tank by the way i found the same service from a different company they asked for 325 for pumping and 75 to locate and dig the opening of the tank read more

These guys installed 2 toilets for us and did a very good job. They did a great job with cleanup and disposed of the old toilets too. We had an issue with one that kept running and they came back the next day and took care of the problem. I can't say enough positive things about A Solution and their employees. Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable and understanding. The company preformed an emergency service for me that was quite extensive. They responded to my urgency with an individual solution right for me. It's been a year and even with all the rain- no problems! Mr. Rivera, came out knocked a hole in my ceiling charged me $180.00. Then proceeded to tell me that the job would cost at least $2,400. According to him the piping under the upstairs toilet had to be completely redone. He went on to tell me that removal of the toilet would be a difficult job. He said he had to check that the parts were available, and of course they were!! He said he would come back the next morning at 7am. After Mr. Rivera left, a plumber I had previously called came. Within minutes he told me I needed a new upstairs toilet installed. His fee $230 plus the cost of the toilet. The toilet was installed the water stopped running downstairs into the 1st floor unit. Mr. Rivera, is a con man, a rip off artist. Beware, do not do any business with him. Mr. Rivera, requested that I make the following correction: Although, he took my card information he did not process a payment of $180. However, the rest of the post is correct. He was attempting to charge me $2,400 for a $230 job! read more

I would give A Solution 6 stars if I could. I was in a jam and had a broken water pump that was causing a sewage back-up in my front porch area. They first went above and beyond to make scheduling exemptions and come out as quickly as possible, and then addressed my issue with clear expertise and expediency. In my experience, it's rare to find a service company that delivers service in a way where they aren't just in it for the money, but truly care about the customer. We used A Solution for a couple projects over the past year. Trinidad is the plumber that has done the work for us and he is really great. He installed a new ejector pit that works great. The new ejector pit worked so well that our kitchen sink started gurgling when it went off. Trinidad came out to assess the situation for free. He came up with a genius plan to use existing pipes that were no longer in use to vent the new kitchen sink (basically fixing the issue left by the last plumbers by thinking outside the box instead of just putting in new pipes). Trinidad and another plumber came out the day after the countertops were installed and hooked up the sink with a new venting pipe. They were on-time, nice, cleanly, and good at their work. I will be using A Solution Plumbing for all my plumbing needs going forward. read more

The first time they came to my house, I forgot to put my dogs away. The guys still entered and knocked out the job. They left zero mess. His price came in under the initial estimate. They were quick, honest, neat, and dog lovers (lol). Just recently my tub was plugged. I tried everything to make the water drain only to have busted some line and making water run all over and spilling into the basement. I was worried that I would have a huge plumbing bill pending. Mr. Rivera came over and in less than three minutes: not only unplugged some hair that was clogging a drain line, he also showed us how to fix it ourselves for next time, and didn't charge us because we were loyal customers! They said they could have came over the same exact day for an extra charge if it was an emergency but recommended I wait to save myself the additional charge. My tub of as not draining at all, complete standing water. I tried drano, zip it stick, and another brand like drano and nothing worked. Excellent job by Mr. Rivera! It took some creative thinking and problem solving to replace the rusted out pipe that went from my kitchen sink to my basement to the sewer line. He and his assistant worked for over 6 hours with no break and go the job done. It was not an easy job but I have a fully redone under the kitchen sink piping alongside the feed to the sewer pipe. Honest, prompt, professional. Used them for the "Private Drain Program" with the city, which requires the use of a city licensed plumber. I literally threw money down the drain with two previous plumbers and their deceptive business practices before contacting A Solution. I researched and contacted at least 15 plumbing companies for the Private Drain Program. Not only was A Solution the least expensive but they also took care of my problem in about 30 minutes, whereas the previous two plumbers required multiple visits with no resolution.
