She shaved them down and botched them - then claimed they were matted but they had just been groomed 6 weeks prior elsewhere with ZERO issues (I only took them to her because my regular groomer was booked out too far in advance for me to keep up their maintenance) - because I DO NOT allow them to get matted. She also charged $135 per groom = $270 for a botched shave down. The next day my girl couldn't sit comfortably, she has a small tail. I ended up having to pay $242 to take her to the vet to find out what was going on. When I sent her photos and showed her the bill proving it was due to her negligence she stopped replying. Great service at PetSmart Auburn!…read more My cats were hungry due to a total fail delivery from Amazon (because they used USPS to ship pet food to me) I signed onto PetSmart for in-store pick up. Within 15 minutes of placing my order, I had an email that it was ready to pick up. I drove up, called and asked for curbside pickup. Within two minutes the gal was out, my car was loaded, and I was on the way home. Awesome service!

I have gone to petsmart multiple times and haven't had an issue up until now…read more I took my dog in to get a slight haircut and cleaning and showed a picture of what I wanted (same thing as always) and was ensured that was what was going to be done. Upon picking up my dog, I immediately noticed she was shaved completely.... obviously FAR from what I had asked for and I mentioned that I was not happy to which I was immediately dismissed and told "she was matted so we shaved her". My dog was not matted, never has been as I wash and brush her once a week... even then, shaving her was never discussed. When I started to talk to a manager I was immediately asked "was she matted" rather than a slight concern. I have attached the pictures of how she looked before, the reference picture of what I wanted, and how my dog looks currently.

Our dogs were due for a nail trim so we contacted her to learn about the prices. Very affordable! All you have to do is give her a call and she'll tell you the best times to do a quick drop in for nails. I've never used her for grooming purposes because my dogs are smooth dachshunds who do not ever require a haircut. Since my family has moved farther into the mountains, they still make the trek down to Auburn to visit Jocelyn. She is really good with all temperaments of dogs and can help the skittish one or the bold one. One of my dachshunds waltzes into the place like he owns it and is super excited to smell everything. I really like that she lets us hold our dogs while cutting their nails rather than placing them somewhere else. Go to Jocelyn! She's fantastic!

She did a questionnaire about my dog and was short and snappy. She didn't try to be nice to my dog in any way and was very cold and off putting. Did not try to comfort her (as every other groomer has ever done before). When I picked my dog up she was shaking and clearly terrified! She cowered for the rest of the day. Other groomers normally give 2-3 hours for grooming. I got a call back for pickup less than an hour from drop off. And I am pretty sure that it was due to them being very aggressive with her. Again, I've never seen her this terrified. I even offered to pay extra for her to take her time. The cut was actually pretty nice but this was, by far, the most unwelcoming grooming experience I have ever had. I wouldn't be surprised if they get closed down for abusing the pets after drop off.

I almost never write negative reviews. If you look at my history on Yelp or Google you will see…read morethat when I leave a review it is almost always positive. I am not someone who tries to attack a business online. The only reason I am writing this is because I feel I was genuinely disrespected and wronged, when I simply just wanted some accountability and integrity in return for their miscommunication and failure to produce lab results when they said they would. It is concerning to take a loved one in to find out what might be wrong, trust the clinic to handle it, and then be left hanging for days wondering if something serious is happening and whether they need immediate attention. On November 13 I brought my dog, Buck, to North Fork Vet for a checkup (vomiting in-digested food and red itchy paws) and paid over three hundred dollars for full bloodwork. I was told the results would be ready that night or the next day. No one called. Wanting to be patient and give them time, I didn't call back right away. It wasn't until Tuesday, November 18, that I finally reached out since it had been several days with no updates. I was told a veterinarian would call me soon. No one called. On November 24 I called again and was transferred to Ben, the manager. Instead of solutions he gave me excuses. He said the doctor had personal matters (this is 11 days after the fact) which I completely understand, but that doesn't help me get any closer to answers. I had paid for important tests and still had zero information about my dog's health. This morning, after an already frustrating conversation, Ben called me back. He did not have results. He called only to tell me that the owner of the clinic "tried to call me and left a voicemail." That is where everything fell apart. My voicemail has been full for over two months. I got ahold of AT&T and into my account and opened the call history and there were no incoming calls from the vet on Nov 18th. I didn't have any incoming calls that day only 3 outgoing calls, 1 of them was to NorthFork Vet at 9:23 am (the call that I made to them to try and get an update on the labs). Here's the thing, The clinic has my email on file. If they truly reached a full mailbox, they could have easily emailed results. My phone number has been the same for thirty years, so the claim that a message was left is not true unless they were calling the wrong number. I was frustrated, and I am honest about that. I never yelled, but I was emotional after paying for tests, getting no results, being told different stories each time, and then being blamed for ignoring a voicemail that literally could not have been left. When I tried to express this, Ben said, "I don't know what's wrong with you." That comment to a worried pet owner was unacceptable. He then told me that he would no longer be working with me or my dog. Honestly, once trust is broken I understand that. He said my money would be refunded, which I appreciate. It was truly never about the money, I just wanted to know that Buck didn't have any major complications. What shocked me was that he also said the veterinarian would not be calling me at all anymore and that my dog's lab results would be emailed with no explanation from any doctor. I did finally receive the labs today from North Fork Vet, but now I have to go to a different vet and pay more just to have a professional walk me through the findings. North Fork may have been in business since 1984 and may have a good reputation, but none of that changes what happened to me. I paid for lab work and never received a single call from a veterinarian. I was given conflicting explanations, told things that were not true, blamed for a voicemail that cannot exist, and eventually dismissed entirely. I am writing this so other pet owners know what can happen. No one caring for a pet should feel ignored, blamed or disrespected like this. I wish the clinic the best, but I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated and how this situation was handled. To leave on a positive note, thank you so much for taking care of Buck for the first couple of years. We really had nothing but positive outcomes until recently. We wish things had ended up differently. Dog bless.
