You'll be glad you took your animal here to be groomed. You certainly will become a regular if you can get on a grooming routine with this place. They are really good at this business and have a seemingly steady flow of customers. Get in before they can't book you. Great little town to stop and take a stroll while your dog is getting pampered by one of the staff. Great little restaurant right next door to grab a bite and a doggy bag. Or go a few doors down the other direction and get some locally hand crafted items at great prices. Pet groomed, belly full, nice little handcrafted arts and jewelry to take home while you're in Colfax. Highly recommended.

TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK…read more We had to put our dog down after he broke his leg while getting a haircut from Kat. Apparently he fell getting out of her tub. He had hip dysplasia and she knew that, he had been here before but we were not aware of the tub (it's hidden out back and we would never have let him participate in that portion if we knew about it) She didn't tell us he fell until we picked him up. She took the money for the haircut. He broke his femur and it would have been an $8,000 surgery to repair. He was 12 years old. She claimed to have insurance. It's been over two months and she has done nothing but blame us for the fact our dog is no longer with us and the insurance she claimed to have, she does not. She has dragged us through enough. I was hoping she would show some decency throughout any of this and she has not. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR BUSINESS. Happy to provide more details for any interested upon request.

A New Favorite for Sadie!…read more Sometimes, what starts as an unexpected change turns out to be a wonderful discovery! After more than eight years of using the same mobile grooming service, a generator issue forced me to find a fill-in groomer for Sadie. I turned to Yelp, gathered a few quotes, and chose Abbi's.Let me tell you, I made a GREAT choice! From the moment I walked through the door, I felt the positive energy. Every employee I interacted with was welcoming, upbeat, and genuinely happy to be there. You can tell when people truly love what they do, and that love extends to the animals in their care. It wasn't just good customer service; it was the feeling that the employees genuinely love their work and the animals they work with. And that makes all the difference! Sadie had been seeing the same groomer for over four years, so trusting someone new with her wasn't a decision I took lightly. I sent pictures to show Kelcie what I had in mind, and she delivered exactly what I asked for, only better! Kelcie took my vision and added her own touch, and honestly, her interpretation was even better than what I had pictured. That's talent! Another huge plus is their doggy daycare. For dogs who are friendly and comfortable socializing, they have the option to enjoy time with other dogs rather than spend their visit in a kennel. I love that! And let's talk about the prices! They're fantastic, and the entire experience was easy, pleasant, and stress-free. From the friendly staff to the beautiful results, I couldn't have asked for a better first visit. Here's the biggest compliment I can give Abbyi's: I went in looking for a a substitute groomer, and I left knowing I'd found Sadie's new doggy salon! Thank you Kelcie! If you're looking for a groomer who combines genuine love for animals, a positive atmosphere, great grooming, reasonable prices, and people who are simply a pleasure to work with, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Abbia try. Sometimes, a change you didn't plan on turns out to be exactly what you needed. Sadie and I are looking forward to coming back!

I waited too long and had such a small window, but Shell squeezed him into her insanely busy schedule just simply out of the kindness of her heart. When I picked him up he looked incredible, easily one of the best grooms he's ever had in nine years. Then, when I went to pay, she told me she was covering the entire visit. I tried to argue, I was so determined to pay and tip her big, but she wouldn't budge. She just said, 'You have enough going on.' I completely broke down crying right there. I've told this story to so many people this week and I cry every single time, watching them tear up too. *Shell, your talent is amazing, but your kindness and compassion is what I'll never forget. They left their door open and put a dog that was supposedly the owners into a small little crate area, which is too low for a dog that size to jump over and run out onto Fairway Boulevard. The dog ran out and hit me in my car did over $1400 worth of damage and they didn't care to even call me which I called several times and never returned my phone call. All I wanted was a phone call and an apology from them and they didn't care enough. They said I never gave them my number which I did and they both sat and argued who the owner was of the dog. She even swore at her own employee and said I am the owner you idiot. Just be aware of when you drop your dog off if you even wanna go back to this place. Because I really want them to be accountable.

Her paws were trimmed up so nicely too! This was our first time here and I really loved that the dogs have their own little "rooms" instead of being kept in kennels. Bernie also seemed way less anxious when I picked her up than she normally does after grooming. We'll definitely be coming back! Just a heads up for first-timers--they prefer cash.

I'm sitting here a year later and I'm still absolutely fuming about the experience I had at this…read morelocation. I've been a loyal client of this company for a long time; my favorite groomer, Katherine, used to work at this Blue Oaks shop, and I actually followed her to the Lincoln location for years because her skill was unmatched. After she moved on from the Lincoln shop, I figured I'd give the Rocklin (Blue Oaks) location another chance since it's literally right across the street from my house. It was a massive mistake that I still regret. I booked a 1 inch all over poodle puppy cut for my Standard Poodle with Lexi and was charged over $160. For that price, you expect a high-level, professional style. Instead, I walked out with a dog that had been shaved completely bald. My poor dog looked like a literal rat. At drop-off, Lexi checked my dog's body and only pointed out a tiny bit of matting on the ears, so I acknowledged that and gave her my permission to shave just the ears. That was the ONLY thing I authorized. Rather than taking the time to actually style a poodle; which is what I paid for, she clearly took the lazy way out. She buzzed her entire body and face down to the skin without so much as a phone call to ask for my consent. Charging over $160 for a basic shave-down is a total scam; that is a premium 'styling' price for a service I never received. I'm sure management will try to hide behind the "it's been a year" excuse or claim I should have complained sooner, but frankly, I shouldn't have to explain to a "professional" groomer that you don't shave a dog's entire body without permission. The fact that I am still this angry a year later should tell you everything you need to know about the lack of skill, zero communication, and complete lack of care at this shop. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Save your money and your dog's dignity, go literally anywhere else.
