My truck, a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer, has a fairly high number of miles yet it continues to run incredibly smooth thanks to the Bob and the guys at Auto Technicians. My first experience with them was a generic overhaul of my truck, providing them with a great test to verify their honesty and their integrity. I brought it in, asked them to go over everything and let me know what all I needed to do to allow me a couple more years of service out of it. I expected to hear back an impossibly high number given the age and mileage. I also knew of a couple of problems the vehicle was having, but withheld the information in the hopes they would find it. They did so, but the actual cause of the trouble was not what I thought it was so they actually saved me quite a bit of money in repairing that. They also found several items that were also in need of repair, some more important and some less. They quoted me a price that was extremely reasonable for the repair work done. A day or so into the repair, they found something wrong with the vehicle that they had missed but it was something that I brought up to them originally. They apologized for missing it and made it right for me by only charging me for the parts, not the labor on that particular repair. I didn't request it at all, as I didn't really feel like it was a failure on their part since they did find it eventually even though it wasn't part of the estimated price. They simply wanted to make it right for me. To me, that speaks volumes to their integrity and honesty. Once the repair was finished, I came in under the new estimated cost with the added repair as they were able to find a couple savings on parts. A+ as far as I am concerned. My second repair done by them was very recently my Coolant refused to stay within my vehicle and as they found out my radiator had come apart, as is apparently quite common with Mountaineers. They provided me an estimate that seemed fair, others I know that have had replacements had paid 500+ for theirs. They performed the work in a day and I had it back the morning after. It was an exceptional job as had been done previously and my car is back to running like a champ. I would recommend Auto Technicians, they are honest, quiet reasonable turnaround times for as popular as they are, and are very easy to work with.

A few weeks ago I was heading on an 800 plus mile trip north. I don't drive much at home, maybe 5…read moreto 10 miles if I go anywhere. It was the first time I had taken it on the expressway and as soon as I got it up to 75 it was shaking very badly. I stopped at a rest area just north of Linwood and called a tire repair shop (assuming it was my tires). that man told me to go to West Branch (another 37 miles away from where I was at) he explained the guy that owned it was a good guy and would take care of my tire issues. Got back on the e-way and decided to take the Standish exit -there has to be a repair shop in Standish. The first one I come to was All American Auto Service Center. So I pulled in and went inside. There was another car being serviced; I waited my turn. Tim got my car in and checked over in no time at all. He was concerned it might be a different issue but it did turn out the tires were bad. He sold me a new set of tires for under $600! I had the best time chit chatting with his uncle -I can't recall his name but we had great conversation. In no time at all I was back on the road. A situation that could have cost me hours of lost time ended up being very pleasant and not as costly as I would have expected it to be.
