When it was Midas I was told I still had 6,000-8,000 miles on my brake pads and it would be about $100 to replace. I went to this new business with only driving 3500 miles (well below the 6,000-8000 miles I was told that was left on my pads )and they (the new business)told me I needed new pads, rotors and steering arm. Total-$1051 !!!

Being 2 hrs either to my home south or to Crystal Mountain, I quickly searched for auto mechanic to stop by. Thanks to Siri directed me to Jays Auto Repair shop, and slowly I arrived 5 minutes before they closed. No hesitation from the employees, they took the scanner to check the codes and the problem was quickly diagnosed. They stayed open until they fixed my truck, even though they were about to leave for the day. Greta service and great people, from the owner Jay and his wife, to all the employees working there. My exhaust pipe was falling off and dragging under my car for a day or two, and when the…read moredragging/scraping was more than I could handle, I called these guys up. They said to bring my car right in, and within 5 minutes of arriving, they had my car in the shop. I had told the gentleman at the desk that I didn't get paid until the next day and wouldn't be able to afford any big fixes today. He understood and went to take a look at my car. There was no muffler, and the exhaust all the way up to the catalytic converter needed replacing, at over $400. He handed me the quote, and said that they removed the part of the exhaust that was dragging and put a bracket on what was left to keep it in place until repairs could be made. When I asked how much it cost for that much, he said 'absolutely nothing. We did it out of the kindness of our hearts." What began as a stressful morning turned into a Godsend. I will be returning to get my car repaired once I've got the money. I trust these guys and appreciate the kindness they showed me.

I also authorized the price at 11 am then called - the mechanic/owner said let me see how much I can get done by 5pm. Somehow magically got everything fixed. Meanwhile I have a mechanic in holland who will LITERALLY let me drive my car until everything is fixed. It's nonsense. They fix stuff and d and j but they do rip you off. I say 1.5/5 or 2/10. Can't stand shifty mechanics

Todd even took the time to explain the leak and show me the problem gaskets. The shop is very clean and the team is very friendly. Todd is also a Jeep Wrangler owner so now I know who I will come back to in the future in Midland. They offer warranty on their work and parts also. They saved me over $1,000 had I done this at the dealer. I'm so happy.

I had my tires balanced and when I took the car out and drove on the expressway I noticed the…read moresteering wheel jiggled terribly, worse then it did before I took it in for the tires to be balanced. I called them and they said bring it back. I did and I was told it was past the expiration date and even though they had just balanced them, they would not guarantee their work. I would have to pay to correct their mistakes. Unbelievably they were not busy and a couple of the guys were sweeping the driveway. Wouldn't it have made sense to make a customer happy since they were paying their employees anyway. Everytime I go in for a rotation all they want to do is sell you something else or a repair they want to do.
