Monday and Tuesdays are wing nights? I'm in! If you're hoping to enjoy a sporting event at the same…read moretime, you don't have to worry about not being able to see a TV. There are individual screens in the booths, screens all around the bar...pretty much a screen everywhere they had space on the walls between the art. The art is actually pretty interesting. They mostly feature Canadian athletes and since this location is in Pickering, they highlight ones that were born and raised in the area! We came on a Monday and they were hosting a paint night so there was a long row of tables that was sectioned off for the painters. There was still space available (although the booths were all taken) even though there was a Raptors game in less than an hour. Service started off a little bit slow with taking our orders and they forgot about bringing ketchup over but overall it was okay. The food didn't take too long to get to our table either. I went with the wing special. You have to order a beverage for the deal and you can order soft drinks or alcohol. They are ordered in wing increments and started from 5 then 10. There were numbers after 10 but I was just ordering for myself so I only considered the first 2 options. The flavors were mild, medium, hot, honey garlic, hickory BBQ, and chipotle BBQ. You can add on carrots and dip or fries (normal, sweet potato, lattice) for an extra charge. I went with 5 hickory BBQ wings and carrots. The wings turned out to be on the smaller side. I'm not really sure how many carrots I really expected but I only got 3. They were crunchy and juicy though which was nice. The wings themselves had the crap fried out of them. Not sure how else to describe it. They were a little bit dry and some of extra batter was super hard. I was a little afraid I might break a tooth. The flavour of the sauce was decent though. I wasn't ecstatic about the wings but they were okay. My friends really enjoyed the chicken cordon bleu however. It's a solid place to catch a game for sure.

We walked in on a Saturday evening around 8:40 p.m. and was told that they were not seating anyone…read morefor 30 minutes. There were already people in the bar and dining area drinking and eating with plenty of empty tables so this seemed strange to us. As my husband and I were exchanging baffled looks, the waitress tells us that we can't be seated. Again. Really?! No reason was given other than a BLANK stare from this ridiculous person. My guess is, since it was a Leafs game night, they wanted drinking crowds who would tip them more. I guess à family with a kid was not the customer profile they wanted to entertain that night. So we left and went to the nearby Bullocks Pub just down the street and were greeted warmly and seated. We had a great pub fare with a few cold ones and watched the Leafs game with our daughter. Thanks, shoeless Joes. If it weren't for your rudeness, we would have never walked into Bullocks which is where we would rather hang out and watch the game from now on. You just lost a customer for life.

Chuck's Roadhouse has some great tasting food and some really good specials every day!…read more If you're in a hurry, their Lunch Express menu, available 11am - 5pm daily, has some good deals and a guarantee that you'll get it within fifteen minutes or its FREE! We had their Chuck's Burger with Fries, and their Rustic Penne. Both were a tremendous value and tasted really good! We also had their Honey Sriracha Sizzler, Rib and Wing Combo with Mashed Potato, and Top Sirloin Steak with Lobster Tail and Sweet Potato Fries. We added their Onion Rings and Sautéed Mushrooms. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted great! As usual, we ordered more than we could finish, and the portions were quite generous, resulting in leftovers. Appetizers are half price after 9pm every day! That's a deal! They've also got really good deals on drinks, with beer on tap starting at only $3.25 (12oz) and cocktails and shots starting at $6.49 and $4.99, respectively. Drink responsibly! With locations all over Ontario, check out a Chuck's Roadhouse near you!

Lots of tvs inside and they have a nice outdoor patio as well. There are so many positives to mention: The Lunch Express Menu is from 11am-5pm (15 Minutes or it's FREE) so you know service is timely! They also have $4 beers on game days (Thursday and Saturday) Plus Appetizer Specials in the Evening! We tried the Bourbon Glazed Chicken Sandwich and the Rustic Penne off the lunch menu; Both were presented beautifully We also ordered from the main menu: Top Sirloin and Lobster Tail Sauteed Mushrooms Onion Rings Sweet Potato Fries Honey Siracha Sizzler Rib and Wing Combo With Mash Hot Honey and Ghost Pepper Canadian Budweiser and Bud Light Caesar (Chuck's Size) I can't believe how cheap steak and beers are here; while maintaining quality. This is a definite game day Spot and I'll be back to enjoy more food and drinks with my friends.

We went this evening to St Louis in Pickering…read more Originally we had a Yelp event to attend in Toronto but Mother Nature and her got in the way and made the roads a bit tricky So we decided to eat locally for the Tuesday special at St Louis I went with their 1/2 price wing special and ordered 2lbs of wings I got the hot honey and dry Cajun flavour wings Wings were spot on good and I managed to handle the entire meal in one sitting My wife had the chicken Caesar salad Unfortunately she didn't take to it and it wasn't the best for her Ended up stealing some of my fries from my plate Service was great though I didn't get a bucket or something to toss my bones in Ambiance in there was your usual bar vibe Music and sports on all TVs Quite busy for a snowy Tuesday night Definitely would go again for their wings

We ordered Angus burger with fries $12.99 and Chicken lettuce wraps $11.99. The burger was thick and juicy. Great tasting burger with nice grilled taste. The fries portion was too small. Perhaps cost cutting since it was in the happ hour menu. The chicken lettuce wraps were top notch excellent flavor profile. I can taste the hoisin sauce and mixture of fried onion rings, peppers, and onions. Great dish, only wish they gave more lettuce. The beers are cheap here however when the server offerred us an upgrade to Devil sized draughts for $1 we were sold on it. Unfortunately, when the bill came we were charged $6.99 per 24oz pint instead of $5. My wife didn't want to complain and paid the bill. This left a bad taste in our mouth no pun intended. Please do not mislead customers on drink upgrades or ensure the accuracy of the order. Overall, the happy hour menu is decent. We will try the $4 sliders, cheesy honey buns, and pickle coins next time. Beware of food and beverage upgrades and check your bill before paying. I hope the service and food portions improve next time. It will be a while before I come back! This was our most recent visit to St Louis bar & grill. Food is decent..I would give it a 3.5-4 out of 5. Wings are decent..AYCE is $13 (plus mandatory $3…read moredrink) and you can change flavours every order. Your first order is 6 wings after that you get 4 and it's annoying waiting between orders. It's what you expect from a Bar...greasy fries, old washrooms, and a big TV over the bar. A decent spot, but not worth getting excited over. Beware though..it's not free refills. I paid over 9$ for name brand coke.... Overall 2 of 5

I had seen tons of signs around the local area promoting the "all you can eat wings."…read moreI thought it was a great concept, I just never took the time to go check it out. One night the guys from work and I decided we would go for a beer & wings. $13 for the all you can eat wings, and we split a pitcher. You pick your sauce and you start with 6 wings...........then slowly......... yep........ slowly they bring you refills of 4. They make you wait. No doubt part of the strategy, I assume they hope you get full waiting. Perhaps they think it will reduce waste. During our visit we got full while waiting and two us wasted 3 of the 4 wings each. I think this is such a stupid practice. (A) I'd never suggest anyone check it out! So no good word of mouth coming from me (or anyone in my group). (B) I'd certainly not rush to go back here, not now, possibly not ever. During our visit I asked the lady if we could double our order, I let her know I'd eat over 10 wings easily. I was told, "no, other people are waiting." Like you cant drop more in the fryer ? The kicker, the place had two other tables of apx 3 people per table. So 9 people including my group. But again, this is what they make you do. Slow service hoping you get full. I guess they want your $13 and no repeat business. Bar is dated and old looking, as I would suspect. Bathrooms were AWFUL. To be fair I should add, the wings were decent in size. The sauces are just your local grocery store sauces. The wings are all cooked the same, then sauced in your pick. We tried the HOT - it was dusted with some odd spice, not good. The Bufalo wings we ok. The sweet chili reminds me of the PC sauce I buy from no frills, and the parm/garlic were decent. All in all I would not go back. The expericne does not warrant another visit. The way in which they serve the customers is just off putting.

My previous review provides more detail. However, I want to add the the Fox continues to serve great food with friendly, helpful service. Our server, Devon, made helpful suggestions, didn't hesitate to make informed recommendations, and handled a very busy evening with confidence and good cheer. Service was excellent, as was the food! The Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding is simply the best! I also enjoyed the adorable fox photos and art throughout the pub. The Fox is a sister pub to Magwyers (in Ajax), another well-reviewed pub. While Magwyers is very popular and often full, the Fox Goes Free seems to be a bit off the beaten track, located in that West Pickering Turning Into Scarborough area. There is plenty of parking both in front and behind the pub. Set back from the street, with a spacious, heated patio in the back, it has a welcoming, almost cottage-like atmosphere. Mix that with some tasty fare and great service for the Fox's winning combination!

Upon expressing my displeasure to our server, she advised that they now only have it occasionally as a special but that she would check with the kitchen to see if they would be able to prepare it for me (even though it was not listed as the special that evening) and they obliged. Now I'm not exactly sure what's happened over the course of time but this was the worst Bangers 'n Mash I have ever had! There was far too much gravy on the bangers, none on the mash and only a pittance of baked beans. To top it off, the bangers themselves were horrible and had no flavour at all. Apparently I will be on the search for a new favourite place for Bangers 'n Mash. Even thought the service was very good and they did agree to make the dish despite it not being on the menu that evening, I have to leave them at a 2-star for now because this dish was a disaster. So sad.
