Lots of regulars here - it's a true neighborhood pub. If you frequent this place, the owners will remember your name, and what you like to drink and eat. The patio/deck has been renovated for Covid restrictions and is good, even in the colder weather. It's covered, heated and quite comfortable. In the summer, it's a great place to enjoy a beverage and get some sun, or hide under an umbrella. The menu is not expansive, but has surprising variety and includes such items as calamari, edamame, antojitos along with sandwiches, wings, burgers etc. All the food is super fresh and very high quality - burgers are fresh, never frozen, Cuban sandwich is hearty, and the club is just delicious on the brioche bun! They even have a Vegan burger on a Vegan bun. Oh, and drinks. The Guinness is always fresh since they serve to much! Last summer, they got the Bees Knees drinks (it's a Killer Bee with an extra shot!!). Your glass will not go empty with the fast service! Highly recommended. We will be back there are soon as the restaurants re-open!

The wings here are huge and they have more flavours now. You can order 2 flavours if you get 12 wings. Gar par and cajun ranch were the favorites at our table. Our evening on their spacious patio started with some refreshing cocktails - Tequila Sunrise, Grand Thai Tea, and Sparkling Mango Mint. They looked good and tasted great! We ordered the Sharing Platter to start, while we decided on the rest of our meal. It included chicken tenders, onion rings, garlic cheese fingers, pickle spears, carrot and celery sticks, and assorted dips. It was all good! For our main courses, we got a bit carried away. Everything on the menu looked really good and it was hard to choose so we ended up with Fish Tacos, Triple Decker Club Sandwich, Chicken Cobb Salad, Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Fajitas, and the Kids' Burger. Everything tasted great, with the fish tacos, cobb salad, and fajitas being our favourites. If we weren't so stuffed, we would have tried their desserts. Next time. With good food and good service, we'll definitely return!

The beer that was served to my friends seemed to be fine but my diet coke was flat unfortunately. We had a trainee server which might have contributed to our bills being completely messed up but we just paid them anyway...no biggie. I thought it was odd that we didn't receive an actual bill. However, we could see what we were paying for on the payment terminal if we asked. They missed an opportunity to share a QR code or ask customers to submit a review...but I'm submitting a review anyway.

For COVID dining conditions, they have extended their patio into the parking lot, and have done it quite well. It's a spacious and clean dining area with umbrellas over each table. I looked over their condensed menu, which included a selection of apps, sandwiches, and mostly lighter fare. I chose The Works burger, which included an 8oz beef patty, bacon, cheese, an onion ring, and pickles. The assembled burger was nice and thick. I had to compress it to get it in my mouth! The flavour was actually quite good and it was juicy without dripping all over. It came with a ton of crispy skin-on fries! Good burger! My server was very pleasant and friendly but she seemed to be the only server taking care of everybody. I don't know what the staffing situation was in the kitchen but my visit took an hour and a half. For a burger! That, to me, is not acceptable. Food: 4 Length of service: 2

I dropped into this local watering hole on a Friday around noon and it was very quiet. There was…read moreactually one patron at the bar when I arrived and one more when I left. Two fellows occupied another table. Hmmm, where is everybody? Despite being an Irish Pub, the owners appeared to be Indian. All the staff that I saw were Indian, including the lone server/bartender. Now, that's not a bad thing because I love Indian food. I was actually quite happy! I just never expected it to be disguised as an Irish pub. I chose the Butter Chicken (Authentic creamy butter chicken sauce served with rice and naan bread). It was actually quite good but not quite up to the standard of an authentic Indian restaurant. It seemed to be lacking some of the creaminess that I've become used to in butter chicken. So this was very good, but perhaps not as authentic as I was hoping for. The rest of the place looked like what I would expect from an Irish pub. The (faux) worn furniture, the dart boards, the pool table. the fireplace, a good variety of beer on tap. Hopefully the evening crowd is better. There is one thing that I found to be a turnoff - the strong smell of air freshener or some kind of cleaning agent. Tone this down for a better, more natural experience. Please.

Problem is, the regular patrons, that smoke, now smoke and vape on the patio. Servers do nothing. Pathetic. The smokers never followed the 9 meter rule, always a cloud of smoke at the entrance, next to a daycare. Now they take over the patio. So there are so more patios that are not ruled by the clients. Too bad, nice patio, and great food, but I'll leave it to the inmates. Mackenzie's, magwyers, portly, st. Louis, even Boston pizza respect your air.

My previous review provides more detail. However, I want to add the the Fox continues to serve great food with friendly, helpful service. Our server, Devon, made helpful suggestions, didn't hesitate to make informed recommendations, and handled a very busy evening with confidence and good cheer. Service was excellent, as was the food! The Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding is simply the best! I also enjoyed the adorable fox photos and art throughout the pub. The Fox is a sister pub to Magwyers (in Ajax), another well-reviewed pub. While Magwyers is very popular and often full, the Fox Goes Free seems to be a bit off the beaten track, located in that West Pickering Turning Into Scarborough area. There is plenty of parking both in front and behind the pub. Set back from the street, with a spacious, heated patio in the back, it has a welcoming, almost cottage-like atmosphere. Mix that with some tasty fare and great service for the Fox's winning combination!

Upon expressing my displeasure to our server, she advised that they now only have it occasionally as a special but that she would check with the kitchen to see if they would be able to prepare it for me (even though it was not listed as the special that evening) and they obliged. Now I'm not exactly sure what's happened over the course of time but this was the worst Bangers 'n Mash I have ever had! There was far too much gravy on the bangers, none on the mash and only a pittance of baked beans. To top it off, the bangers themselves were horrible and had no flavour at all. Apparently I will be on the search for a new favourite place for Bangers 'n Mash. Even thought the service was very good and they did agree to make the dish despite it not being on the menu that evening, I have to leave them at a 2-star for now because this dish was a disaster. So sad.

I had the Mac n cheese - I asked the server if the fettuccine or the Mac n cheese was more popular and she said no one had ever ordered either. The Mac n cheese tasted fine, but had weird kind of half-melted cheese on top which did not look very appetizing. My friend who got the seafood pasta said it was the worst he'd ever had and the mussels were falling apart and tasted freezer burnt :/ My other friend said the bbq pizza was good, wings and nachos are also good.
