As always the merchandise, in my opinion, at any Macy's is superior to most similar businesses; however, the sales lady working in the women's shoes department was incredibly rude to NOT just us, but to many of the other people waiting to try on shoes. Also, is it just me or is it very strange to have employees wearing jogging suits, especially at a Macy's, which I have always thought to be higher end? I hardly shop for new clothes these days yet alone at Macy's but when I do, I always come with a general idea of what I am going to buy; otherwise, I would waste time in this big store. In addition, it can get tough trying to figure out what to buy due to the endless options. As you enter, the store has a pleasing aesthetic to it and it is clean. But then, chaos ensues in the women's sale section because everything is all over the place (see below). On my most recent visit, I had a $25 gift card to use so I came with a mission to find a top or pant (trouser) for work that was $25 or under. Thus, naturally, I had to go to the sale section. I was able to find dark blue work pants for $24 (Anne Klein designer). SALES -- There are always sales that come in a variety of clothing types such as pants, dresses, tops, and skirts. I generally hate this part of the store because many of the clothing racks do not have the sizes (small, medium, etc) displayed so it is hard to find the size you are looking for. Plus, there are always too many clothes on the sale racks which creates difficulty in finding an item. PRICES -- Depending on your budget, you may or may not be able to afford the clothes here (see my note above about sales). The designer clothes are obviously expensive at Macy's so I recommend Dressbarn for more affordable business casual and business (work) clothes. SERVICE -- Service was good. As I entered and proceeded all the way down the hallway trying to find the bathroom, a young employee helped me point to it so he was nice. I had to flag down an employee to help me check out once I was ready to pay for the pant that I bought. I believe I waited for about 4 mins. Overall, I would only recommend Macy's only if you know exactly what you want to buy because the store is big. If the store size doest't matter to you and you are willing to wait to get assistance, then by all means, come and shop here. I stopped here with my mom because she needed more makeup. She only likes to use Clinique. The lady helping her was friendly. She opened the box to show my mom the item to make sure it was exactly what she wanted. That's all she wanted to get, but the lady kept asking her if she wanted other items that were expensive. My mom's makeup is already pretty pricey, she can't afford other items she doesn't need. read more

They have many cash registers but there's never any workers actually there. I wish they were because there are so many good things I could be buying. Okay, you better not read this review on a full stomach! I purchased a suit at Macy's and brought it home to try on. It seemed to fit pretty well and things were going good at this point. Then, I made the tragic mistake of placing my hands in the pockets. What I pulled out threw my wife into a vomiting mess and me dry heaving. It was a hanky with either dried blood or makeup and three long finger nails! There were two thoughts that raced through my mind, neither was good. Either this was left over from a dead person who was to be buried in this suit or from a poor woman working in the Taiwanese sweat shop wear the suit was made. The only thing that made this worse is that when I went to return the suit, there was virtually no response or apology. Even after I'd asked for the department and store manager. They all just nonchalantly refunded my money and sent me on my way. I went today to the intimates department which is on the 2nd floor. Escalators were broken. Had to go out in the mall to get upstairs. Wandered around trying to find someone to help me, when I did she was the rudest sales associate I have come across in a very long time. The sale was great, but the lady that rang us out in the shoe department wasn't the friendliest with her rude comments and when we asked to put in our 20% off coupon she said it didn't work and gave us the total without even trying. First off I absolutely LOVE Macy's department store, even their website has great deals, coupons, and a LARGE selection of stock. HOWEVER... The Strongsville store has never failed to continuously disappoint me every time I go in their. I started finding interest in Macy's after buying a few shirts from the brand "INC", or International Concepts about a year ago. But unfortunately the past 10 times or so that I have been in their I have left very disappointed! Their isn't enough clerks to help you find what you're looking for or even offer you style advice. ALSO, their clothing selection is VERY LIMITED. I am never able to find my size in anything!!! Same with their shoes! Small amount of shoes to pick from and NEVER HAVE MY SIZE! Today was a terrible experience at this Macy's at Southpark Mall in Strongsville. I don't think most of the people working on the second floor of this Macy's understand the meaning of customer service: My husband was in the dressing room with a few more items to try on when the 15-minute warning announcement for the store closing came over the loud speaker. As I went to check the price of an item, a manager-looking salesman said, "We are closing in 5 minutes." It was 6:46 pm and the announcement had just concluded that the store would close at 7:00 pm. Instead of leaving us to finish, the manager guy harassed us multiple times over the next five minutes. He was rude and condescending. For example, he asked, "Did you know it's Sunday?" Obviously, dude. The other sales woman also came in three times to ask if we were almost done. At 6:55 pm, the manager guy came back and said a different department was staying open waiting just to ring us out. Maybe if the salespeople left us in peace to finish we could have gotten out sooner, but we got to the counter to check out right at 6:59 pm. The harassment didn't end even at the checkout counter as the salespeople from the department we had been in followed us over to the other department's checkout counter. Plus, another saleswoman decided to chime in and make sure we knew the store was closing. Yeah, lady, we heard. The only decent salesperson was the pleasant man who rang us up. I respect that people want to go home when it's closing time, but no one should be treated the way we were. This was totally unacceptable behavior. read more

If I could choose anything less than a one star I would. I bought a mattress from Macy's in August of 2019. By May of 2020, there was already a 1 inch indent in the mattress that makes sleeping feel like I am sleeping in a pit. I am by no means large enough to cause the size indent in the bed over the span of less than a year, so I called Macy's to see what could be done. After spending about 2.5 hours total waiting on hold with customer service, they finally got someone out to measure the indent to ensure that it was in fact defective. When he was leaving, he said that Macy's would call within two days to schedule a mattress delivery for a new replacement mattress. I waited a week and no call. I decided to call them myself, and after another hour and a half of listening to hold music, I finally was able to schedule the delivery for early August. The day before the delivery came, and I was expecting a call the day before to notify me of a delivery window. The call never came, so I stayed home all day the following day waiting for a delivery that never arrived. I called again, got put on hold for over an hour again, and ended up finding out that it was on back order. No one ever called. So I rescheduled the delivery for early October. The same thing happened where they called the day before the scheduled delivery to push it to late October (tomorrow). And now, I just got a call, thinking it would be for the delivery window, and they said that it will not be delivered until late November. This is INSANE. First they sold a defective mattress, then make me wait on hold for over a total of 3 hours, then don't have the decency to call further in advance than the day before scheduled delivery. NEVER in my life will I EVER purchase a Macy's mattress again. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Macy's is no longer an upper class store. It has mass produced clothing, which most are stuffed together and you can't get through the isles to really look. Your store is K Mart Quality.You have to go all over the store to find someone to check you out,if you do find something, most checkouts have no one working and you have to keep going from place to place to find a clerk. You don't know what "Petite means!!! When your store was,May company had what was called a demi petite and it fit me perfect. Everything looks cheap, except the price. No good quality of business suits, dresses etc. Their shoes start at size 6 and I wear a size 5-51/2.0 . We have been shopping at at your store since May Company.
