If you're feeling e-Macy-ated, then this massive department store won't help you. However, if you need expensive items then it's here for your spending pleasure. This is in many ways a typical Macy's store, which is a little disorganized, disheveled, and sometimes feels like it is being abandoned out at the Ingram Park Mall. It's not nearly as busy as it used to be, and it makes me wonder how this place can stay in business, but I hope that it does for their sake. bought a beautiful off white dress for my Wedding. I had to even ask the salesperson to put it into a dress bag so it would not get dirty. The day of my Wedding I got to the Chapel and put it on and noticed they forgot to take off the security ink tag. The sound never went off when I walked out the doors after I bought it. I started panicking and called Macy's for 45 minutes. Could not get ahold of anyone in any department. I had to ask a guest if I could wear their dress. I ended up wearing a black and gray over the knees dress. It was humiliating. I had to tell everyone what happened. Macy's took back the dress and refunded me $269 and only gave me a $100 certificate to their own store. I'm still so upset and so sad. They ruined my Wedding day. read more

I been going here for years. I had great customer service by Liz. She took the time to explain different products that would work for my skin. She even did the skin color test to make sure she got me the correct color. The store was busy but i never felt rushed she did an awesome job for a long time customer and i thanked her for it. She was more concerned about making sure i had knowledge about the different products that are good for my skin. I used my debit card to purchase over $400 in items at the San Antonio location. A few outfits didn't fit so I went and returned them at my local Macys. It has been 3 days since the return and Macy refuses to release my return back to my back account. They are literally holding my refund hostage. Saying it could take 2 weeks to get a refund!! This is the last time I shop at Macys. I have never experienced such bad refund policies or ruder customer service agents. Save yours of a headache and shop elsewhere read more

In comparison to the location at La Cantera, this Macy's could definitely be organized better. There always seems to be just TONS of merchandise EVERYWHERE and sometimes it can be hard to find what you are looking for, clothes-wise. I also feel like the Macy's at La Cantera tends to have a better selection and is more readily accessible. However, this Macy's has WAY MORE parking available and the sales staff, in my experience, are just as kind and helpful. Today I went with my mom after breakfast and one of the managers was holding the door open and greeting customers as they entered and exited the store (so kind!). We weren't looking for anything in particular. Lo and behold I stumbled upon a Holiday Shopping Miracle: Buy 1 pair of clearance shoes, get 1 pair free - SAY WHAT? I thought they only did BOGO at Payless!! Even better they had a huge selection of size 5 shoes! It was fate. I quickly found several shoes I wanted to try on and with the BOGO deal, I was super jazzed about my potential savings. Shout out to Jesse in the women's shoe department who is completely awesome. He helped my mom and me find the shoes and sizes we wanted while serving a bunch of other customers at the same time. If that wasn't enough, he took the time to do multiple transactions so that we could have maximum savings :). read more

Why is this place is always trashed? It always seems that the line we are waiting in has a messed up register. Does Macy's even care about staying open? Price check machines don't work or delay. Why work retail if you are going to be rude. I'm surprised this place hasn't shut down. What happened to the customer service here, it used to be great and now it's bad. What is happening to my favorite Store? It is starting to look trashy like Ross and Marshall's. If I wanted 75% off, I would go to Ross. They are starting to sell cheap furniture and cheap wall decor like they sell at Ross and all those cheap stores. What really sucks is that Macy's also stopped carrying one of my favorite brands, Alfred Dunner. I don't know if that's a real person, but his clothes complimented all shapes from slim to chubby figures. read more

Once again, Macy's has failed me as a customer. Just last week, an associate argued (well tried to) with me that the Macy's store (North Star Mall) does not honor Macys.com prices. Which was resolved and I was advised my the store manager, Barbara Quinn, that yes. Macy's stores will honor online pricing. Just today an associate, Grace at the Ingram Park Mall, did the same thing. I never had such a bad shopping experience at Macy's, twice in a row. And I NEVER had an issue with the store honoring online prices. Has something changed, associates not aware of this policy, or is it hush hush unless a customer says something. Rethinking this Macy's gift destination slogan, especially if the customer service sucks. read more

Went to go return some boots that were to big, that my gf recieved for Christmas. The young guy with the wild hair, earrings and glasses was not only rude but acted like he hated his job. When I told him that we couldnt find anything we liked and if we could just get a gift card, he said are you sure you got these here. Well the obvious stickers on the box are kind of a dead give away. I had some shirts I was going to buy and when I asked him if I could apply for a Macys card and pay for the shirts, he said "I dont know why people bring clothes to the shoe department". WOW well buddy its bc I was going to return the boots and bc I was going to apply for a Macys card.. Will not be shopping here again.. read more

I just love Macy's and the Mac makeup counter. I had to return and item to Mac since I was given the wrong one the last time I was there. I to pay a difference of a few dollars that I was ok with. my visit was on a Monday in the afternoon and there was no traffic at the makeup counter. I was happy with my transaction, but not with what happened after. As I was about the leave the area I noticed a 40% off on selected items but was not advised of this from the employee. Instead she made her way to a lady that just arrived as my transaction was completed. I would have been super happy to have known of the offer and would have been willing to have her help the other customer so that I could look at the items that were on sale. Instead I looked at them and was disappointed that I wasn't offered or told about the sale. Oh well I guess the makeup was meant for someone else. I hope she offered the info to the next guest. I will go back to Mac , I just wasn't happy with the service I didn't get. read more

Went in looking for dress pants for my son. The new Backstage part of the store is small, they really tried to make it seam as if it is the entire store. Came across some dress pants we finally like for my son only to notice the orginal price under the sale tag. The orginal price was 29 and the sale price was 59! I spoke with 2 different sales people. One told me "prices went up on everything" she even had the nerve to mention havent you noticed groceries are higher. My response was never have I seen someone slap a high sale sticker on the orginal tag and place it on a sale rack. The other sales persin just shrugged his shoulders and wouldn't even try to explain it. Macys facebook page thanked me for my feedback but didnt even bother to ask which store I was shopping at, which too me means this must be a normal practice for this company read more

One of the worst Macy's/department stores I've ever been to. Everything is disorganized here from the clothing racks to the layout. The children's clothing is across from the lingerie section which are both right next to the men's section...awkward? Juuuust a little bit! The floor with all the ladies clothing made my head want to explode with techno music blaring from the juniors section and country music blaring from the misses section. I mean really, when is the last time a regional manager took a look at this place? I would definitely recommend passing up this store and walk on down to Dillard's for a much more pleasant experience... Unless of course, you are just into this sort of ambiance... read more

Although from the outside you may think "Just another Macy's"...IT IS SO NOT!! I don't stop often to take time out of my busy schedule to leave reviews, but I think this store deserves the recognition! I can say that hands down this staff has gone above and beyond in making my new home in San Antonio more pleasant by making my new Macy's location a #1 shopping experience every time!!! Sam is the Manager at the Impulse Counter, and has helped me in ways unimaginable!! I now feel beautiful and confident in my day to day, because she went above and beyond to help me complete a phenomenal makeup look, wardrobe, shoes, and the list goes on!!! It's a Macy's so yea there's some cute stuff but the wait in lines is stupid. What's even more dumb is that aftet waiting in line for 30 minutes a manager comes up and tells me to go to another line. I say no thanks, but he comes back insistent that I switch lines. So I do. The wait is longer. I go back to my original line and then another chick comes up saying that if we don't change lines her manager is going to be mad... so we go across the store again and still a wait when she assured she was going to open a register just for us. I love this store but today i got a bad experience when doing an EVEN exchange. The two Macys employees were quick to tell me i couldnt do it unless i paid rhe difference. Then i went to another employee and she helped me out and told me to get the sweater i was exchanging, well the two clueless reps from two minutes earlier lost it and then she had to clock out. Tabetha was a HUGE help and apologized and handled this so professionally. I was impressed with how she did what i asked and was empathetic to my situation. True professional. Went to Macy's this morning, as they had a sale on bra's , they had two upper racks and two lower racks with a retail of 2 for $19.99, come to find out it was only the upper rack. The first clerk actually was not going to take action but the manager came over and offered any on the racks for that price but also made a correction so no one else would make the same mistake. definitely one of the more ghetto macy's stores i've been to. the service isn't the greatest either. returned items here on a couple of occasions and the person at the counter didn't know how to process a return either time. we were able to sort it out after the manager came by both times but expect slightly slower service. and their down escalator is kinda broken so be careful if you're carrying stuff! read more
