What a joke!! I received an email from Macy's showing me Levi's were on sale for $29.99, clicked on the link, picked the pants I wanted, my shopping cart showed full price, so I messaged customer service after 20 minutes of back-and-forth trying to figure out why the price was full price, she said it's just one pair of pants and there's only at that time three sizes available. Explain to her that it's misleading, as you can see from the pictures. She apologized and said She will give me 20% off. I said not acceptable. I have been coming to this Macy's forever... well since I lived here in the IE. I have been going here for the last 2 weeks to the makeup counters because it's time to re-stock my supply. Gloria helped me first gave me a make-over she was over at the Benefit counter last week and then I came the next day and Rina gave me a makeover with Shiseido... I purchased most of the Benefit products from Gloria and a few from Rina but I came back today for a facial. Both of these ladies were FANTASTIC and assisted other people as they came up to the counter during my service... always pleasant in tone and asked me if it was ok to help other people I APPRECIATE the consideration, and since their job is commission I believe in people making the money. Gloria works all the makeup counters after my facial with Gloria she gave me a Shiseido makeover. Both cosmetic lines are expensive keep that in mind. My parents were there to replace a wedding ring and she was extremely patient and kind as they figured out sizing and which ring to buy. I order on line and I also visit the store. I ordered a suit that was supposed to be delivered and was never delivered because the vendor put a wrong address and as a consumer was punished for holding my payment and never refunded until they get the item back that I never received ... ridiculous policy and shud I say stop I refer in line...so I decided to go to the store to buy a suit because I needed one. Nobody was helpful at all..everyone seems so unhappy with MACYs..I was checked out by this tall older latino man who is so rude and no courtesy and no finesse in handling customer...I 100% sure that this man needs to let go...I know when you ring someone on suit they get a commission. I was so tempted to return back the item so he looses his commission and buy it again from a different associate. Darn and then today I pick my on line purchase of another suit and the girl was helpful and I was asking for a suit cover and they said they don't have it. ***** This 5 stars review especially for Daisy from At Your Service Dept!!! Ive been shopping with Macys for years, like over 10 years, and i always like to shop online. Im just the person that does not like to walk around the mall looking for stuff. So everything will comes by mail, or i would do pick up order. Many many times ive been in-out from Macys to return the stuff that i did not like. All these years there not even 1 employee that make nice impression for me to write review. Some are nice but mostly are just not really. Then, last month i came to the store and needed to return some couple watches. And Daisy helped me. For some reason it wont get thru the system, and it has to go to directly the watches counter. Then Daisy was really nice and let me know she cant do the return there, and explained everything why, and also walked me to the watches counter. She doesnt have to walked me there, but she did. She went above and beyond to provided me an exceptional service! Many times other employee would just tell me i have to go different counter to do refund. Without telling me why, or where the counter at. Daisy was so detail and very kind. And then i came here again to return other stuff, and see Daisy again, and she still provided me an exceptional service!! Thank you Daisy for always providing the best service!! read more

Very upset with this store, ordered something online and went to pick up. Didn't have my ID and was told to come back with ID which was not a problem. The problem was when I went back with my ID to pick up my merchandise and they told me I had already picked it up and that they would have to search through every package to find what I never picked up due to their error. I was told they would call me once they found it. Never received a call only a email saying I was credited for the package. I was pleasantly surprised at how this Macy's dressing rooms are clean. No dust bunnies, no mountain of clothes thrown around & there was a lady working to take clothes from you that you're not purchasing. Associates are hit & miss. I wanted to buy earrings & the associate was too busy talking to coworkers. "Hello folks, without happy customers..you'll have no job." Me just standing near the cash register with the earrings wasn't enough. Although he could see me..I had walk to him to tell him that I wanted to pay. The store was organized. Macy's likes to give me reasons not to shop here. Purchased a gold bracelet on 12/1 and on 12/26 one of the links broke off. Went to this Macy's location on 12/27 with the tags, receipt and box. The girl working at the fine jewelry counter said she can't take it back because I took the tag off. Hello, I need to take the tag off to wear the item purchased and it shouldn't break within 20 something days of wear when it retails for $795. Asked to speak to a manager and waited and waited and waited. The manager finally showed up and was able to mail the item back to Macys on my behalf and I got a refund two weeks later. The process was not at all seamless and if it wasn't for my insistence they would have preferred for me to walk out the door and just deal with the broken piece of fine jewelry on my own. read more

The manager who helped at Impulse with the colored contacts was the rudest girl I've ever encountered. I didn't almost $300 5 days ago purchasing everything another artist told me to get to help me learn how to do make up. No I didn't try it on and she said that I can return it if I don't like it. If I would've known I'd get harassed I would've simply went to Sephora or Nordstroms. This new girl told me that because I used it 2 times I couldn't return it. I told her that was misleading esp with a counter sign labeled "returns made easy". She told me that sign is old and I should've looked at receipt. I look at receipt and it too says they'll return or exchange items that done satisfy me. I thennnnn go online to triple check specialty merchandise and it states "gently used". My stuff was used 2 times. Definitely "gently". She continued to argue to point where I said "you really shouldn't even be arguing with me". I truly enjoyed my recent shopping experience at Macy's at the Montclair Plaza (now being called Montclair Place.) My sister and I were actually shopping for swim suits, which we didn't buy, but we did find many bargains in the Women's dept. We found a great number of shirts and tops at very reasonable prices. Between the two of us, we bought 8 items. We then went to stand in line to make the actual purchase. What really impressed me was when Veronica came to our line from a different department and mentioned there was no waiting at that cashier. She enthusiastically escorted us over there. How nice it was to get such bargains and to have such excellent customer service! I highly recommend the Macy's in Montclair for quality clothes at a fair price. read more

In the men's bathroom next to the urinal, there was a guy that had his phone in the space between the store wall and the stall wall, luckily I caught him in time, I went to tell security and the manager. I went to Macy's makeup Department in need of concealer and contour. Alexis approached me as soon as she saw me; she was smiling and she was happily eager to help me! Boy, did I need help! Alexis introduced me to a variety of concealers and shades; she was very knowledgeable about the different brands. She even put the concealer underneath my eyes to see how I liked it. I loved it! Alexis also introduced me to a variety of contours and found the right shade for me!! I appreciated the help and Alexis made me feel at ease instead of overwhelmed. Macys is lucky to have such a wonderful employee who is dedicated to helping the customer! I will definitely come back to the makeup department since I had such a wonderful experience!! They tried to steal my money. I ordered an item for Mother's Day during the pandemic when Macy's curbside pick up was available. I ordered online, but I wanted to cancel my order. I tried to cancel my order on the phone however there was no way to do it. They would only send me to a website online that talked about refunds with no option to actually do it. I felt like they were trying to steal my money by not allowing me to cancel it. To cancel my order I had to trick them and call and press the option to make a new order. When I was connected I instead told them I wanted to cancel my order. This is a sneaky tactic and it is horrible for customers to deal with. I won't be shopping here any longer. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. I went to the website on Saturday morning which stated that if you placed an order before noon you could pick it up curbside that same day. I placed my order at 10:37 am. Orders are supposed to be ready within 3 hours. I called and could not get any humans on the line. I understand that we're in the middle of a pandemic but Bed, bath and beyond and Kohl's get your curbside orders within a couple of hours as promised. So after 36 friggin hours and no response from them I finally canceled my order. Did I mention it was only one item??? Smh read more

On 3/31/18 at 4:45 Pm I made a quick stop at this Macy's. The store was empty and quiet. I entered through the South side of the building into the Kitchen department. I browsed and did not find what I was looking for. I suddenly remembered I needed to make a payment on my cc. The registers were empty so I looked around the department to see if there was anyone around to help and I noticed the associate helping a customer on the floor. The associate proceeded with the customer to the register not sure what was happening with the customer ( perhaps she was looking for something and or couldn't make her mind up on the item. I can relate ). Keep in mind this associate made eye contact and did not acknowledge my presence at the register his name is Lee tall slim and wore glasses. Lee walked to the floor again with the customer and as he walked away he said I will be with you shortly. He didn't even look at me as he said it. Mind you I had been waiting for a bit ( the least he could have done maybe call for back up, there was a second person waiting at this point). Maybe even suggest going to another register assuming there were any open. When he returned a second time to the register I was annoyed at the lack of judgment and customer service etiquette. The customer that was being helped look over to me and said: " sorry he will be with you shortly". Her apology was most sincere. Perhaps why it bothered me most. It was the associate's responsibility to connect with his customer, not another customer. At this point, I made a comment, " it would be nice to be addressed by the associate himself " which caused a quick and rude reaction from Lee. He replied rudely " I did " resulting in an unnecessary exchange of words in front of customers. The end result he said to me "there are other registers you can go to" and continued to take his time with the other customer. After I waited for a while. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! who in their right mind does this?! Lee didn't call for back up or acknowledged the woman behind me". Unfortunately for me, this is the closest Macy's to me. I requested to speak to a manager Carmen. I will not return here. read more

This Macy's has had a serious facelift, I mean Beverly Hills, Hollywood makeover! Much more contemporary look, higher quality merchandise, and no more overloaded racks. Clean, bright, and a lot more fun! Only drawback is that it's in Montclair Plaza, which is not doing well. read more

I needed to purchase a birthday gift, and I ended up at the Montclair Mall. I stopped into Macy's and visited the purse department (if that's what it is called). Edgar assisted me the purchase, and he was very professional. I also visited the Watch Department a few times in the past. I just wanted a pair of jeans from Levi's, and I managed to snag one pair off the shelves. I walked over to pay for the jeans, and there was somebody ahead of me who was being helped. The associate made eye contact with me, but made no effort to speed things along, even when the customer in front of me decided to add things to their purchase. The least the associate could've done was to acknowledge me and flag down a coworker to help her out. I waited there for well over ten minutes. The only reason I continued to wait was because the rest of the store was eerily quiet, and I wasn't sure how much searching I'd have to do to find another open register. Everything else is pretty typical for Macy's: messy fitting rooms, incomplete selection, inconsistent promotions. At least I got the jeans I wanted. read more

Came to exchange a perfume, staff was super friendly and helpful. I left my wallet on the counter, staff helped look everywhere to try to find it, about ten people helped me look and someone finally ended up turning it in. There is still good people in this world. I usually Come to check if they have any Free People latest trend and Levi's jeans , it's a hit or miss but I can say majority of the time I end up spending at least $300. Uh. Maybe I am spoiled, but Macy;s was a place I thought was filled with great values, nice fashion, and helpful people. The Beverly Center seems to raise the standard to a level that is unachievable by others. Nobody greeted, said "Hello," or helped. I did have a couple pairs of pants I picked up. But after looking for a salesperson to ring me out, I just decided that tehy must want to keep these pants more than I want to buy them. I left the pants sitting at the cashier stand.
