I don't shop much at all. I am usually the one driving someone here or just tagging along with someone who needs to shop here. Through the years, I have purchased some gift cards here for some for holidays or birthdays. I have walked around in here with my daughter a few times to get an item or two. The store is always so clean and has so many items to choose from. Walking inside here during Christmas time is so beautiful with all the neat decorations! When ever I shop here, it's always a sale as I have a lower budget than most others. Some of the workers selling you perfumes in the men's aisle are nice. Although certain workers walking the floor follow you and they're not even discreet about it. They follow as if you wanted to steal their little display perfumes. There is a lot of selection but the service isn't worth it. I didn't catch the workers name, but one of them has short brown hair and is an older lady. The other one has grey roots. As soon as I walked past them, I could feel their gaze on me. I'm not over exaggerating because they're following me as I'm typing this. This store could really improve their customer service. I know how to tell the difference between wanting to sell and thinking I'm going to steal something. Horrible experience. They need to train their staff better. They need to train them to not follow around single customers as if there aren't other customers in the store. read more

This was May Co. prior to Macy's. It is the only department store in this mall that can not be entered from the second floor. I was here on a Saturday morning just before Christmas. The store was as expected very busy. The staff while stretched were helpful and friendly. If you want women's clothing and shoes the store is well stocked mens ware is much smaller but still decent. However Housewares and gift items are not well stocked and relegated to the basement. The store is better maintained than some Macy's locations the exterior shows its age and differed maintenance. Parking is good with entrances on both main and basement level. EV Charging stations available and dedicated parking for order pick up. read more

F Macy's. I ordered online and they delivered without a packing slip or return slip. When I went to the Montclair Plaza to return, I gave them my order number and they found they order. But they wouldn't accept a return because it was over 30 days since the purchase. If they made it easier to return like all other major clothing stores by including return label in the delivery, then 30 days no problem. What kind of BS is this that they want you to go to a physical store to return a delivery within 30 days! On top of that the cashier was completely unhelpful. Macy's you lost a customer! read more

This macys never fails to disappoint! Seems to be embedded in the stores principles cus it's an every transaction standard. Showed the employee at the perfume counter the exact perfume I wanted, a literal picture of the perfume. She went and boxed the wrong item, and sold it to us. It was so annoying opening the perfume box just to find out it wasn't the correct item. Mind you this was a Christmas GIFT!! Have to apologize and take the gift back because it wasn't what we asked for. Wait ago district manager, when you pressure employees to meet sales goals but instead end up with crap service. There is no way this was an accident. Don't worry I returned the perfume today and will be buying from Sephora. I don't recommend this location or any macys for that matter. when they aren't lying about discounts, they are scamming you to buy something you don't even want. Oh and calling corporate won't do anything either, they never reach out or resolve the problem because all they care about is sales goals. Management condones this behavior. read more

Although there is no beckstage. There are sections with a sale 30-70% you have to go and look. Prices are above average. This was my first time ordering online at Macy's and the man who was working at the online order pickup counter was very rude and unpleasant. I did not get his name but he was very tall with a beard. He did not say a word to me or greet me, just gestured me to come to the counter so he could help me. Since this was my first time picking up an order, I did not know the process. So when I had to swipe my ID I had no clue. He just pointed at the pin pad. I was like what do I do?? Then he frustratedly took my ID card out of my hand and swiped it himself. Honestly, he could have just communicated what I had to do. Still he did not say much to me and whenever I had to do something such as sign, he just pointed at the pin pad. I felt like a huge burden to him when he is supposed to be paid to help me. I work in retail and understand people have bad days but genuinely no one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. I hope Macys does something about this and coach him on customer service! read more

First off, this place is typically on the more expensive side. However, there are some pretty cool deals here in both the women's (upstairs) and men's department (downstairs). Make sure to raid the clearance section first because you are likely to find brands on sale like Tommy, Lauren, Levi's, CK, etc. as far as their normal priced items, I don't really buy here because like I said it's expensive. I'm here for deals on name brands only. I recommend this place!! Fragrance department- I can't walk through here without buying something. The ladies that work here are killer sales women. I seriously need to study their art. Anyways, great place to find deals on perfumes and bag gift sets. The mall I like this little mall, it was a hot spot back in the day. Once the Mills came along, it took away a lot of the business but it still seems to thrive. This mall is small, clean, and less crowded than the Mills. read more

I don't really shop at Macy's but I LOVE Chanel makeup and every department store carry different items. I found one of my favorite nail colors that they don't carry anywhere else because Chanel colors are released by season or limited edition and they become discontinued. I ordered online and shipping took about 7 days and it's free. The packaging is not nice and wasteful but I will shop here occasionally. Since my nail salon is closed now I save $125 a month and can justify buying 3-4 bottles each time to add to my collection. read more

I went to go try some perfumes and I asked for a sample size and they said they were out of the tubes... how are you a perfume outfitter and without sample tubes... especially when the perfumes are +$100, the macys in Brea IS NEVER LIKE THIS. My husband went to make a return for a gift to someone who is limited in going out from COVID 19, 380$ purchase brand new in box, with receipt but over 90 days given COVID. Sadly, Macy's does not have a policy that allows for late returns (they also don't do curbside returns so you have to find someone to go inside for you if you are high risk). Asked to exchange for them was told even with a receipt they would only give 50% back and it had to be applied to a new purchase over $380 the original price. (Seriously, that's not ok.) Therefore my Advice, for populations who can't go out like others; don't shop at Macy's for now. Also, ask stores what they can return and how long they can return as this was a shock. I won't purchase from Macy's out of principle at this time. I think any new item (that you still sell the item at full price on your shelf) you should be able to return it when proof of purchase is present. So sad. read more
