We came in to walk off our dinner in the mall and parked near Macy's the shoe department to be exact. As soon as we came in we were greeted by an associate named Jason. His courtesy made our browsing far more enjoyable. He found us the shoes we asked for and directed us to price scanner to make sure we were getting the best deal. My Carlos Santana shoes were already discounted plus an extra 20 off. I ended up leaving very happy with my birthday gift. I'am very upset with this store , I went yesterday around 6:00pm took my son to get some shorts for the summer he's a young adult and big for his size so took us a while to find him clothes we ended up finding six pairs of shorts ranging from $55.00 to $25.00 but during our over an hour of search I noticed an undercover store security following us around all the time my son was trying on clothes the guy with the brown suede shoes clean cut well he was acting like he was searching for one shirt while looking at me in the mirror and passing back and forth I think about a good 10 times come on now REALLY why dose'nt the dumb guy follow the people that are stealing from your store instead of HARASSING people that are honest and have Macys cards and are there to purchase . I frequent this Macys often. It is my go to Macys. I shop for makeup, shoes, bags, clothes, and etc. I was so dissapointed when I used the restroom one day. Right when you enter the powder room area before you get to the restroom you can smell something nasty in the air. Almost every stall had a dirty toilet. Also, the bathroom is in major need of a remodel everything is old and nasty. I expect a lot more from Macys. This place isn't cheap so I expect the restroom to be nice and clean. Otherwise the staff is always friendly and I love the sales. One last thing I would like to note is in my experience many of the staff claim you can't use coupons on certain things because it wont go through. Many times I have been told this and I ask them to scan anyways and coupons do apply. For example, I buy a lot of Betsey Johnson jewelry and I am always told coupons don't work, but I know they do. So when they scan the coupon and it does go through they are shocked. So always ask to scan the coupon anyways! read more

We went in looking for a kitchen appliance and we knew what we needed and wanted, yet Rosa who offered to help us in the home department, approached us like if we were idiots and talked down on us. An employee in the Macy's in Victoria Gardens was super nice and even gave us a coupon that she said was valid and they will honor the discount at another location. Rosa said the coupon is not valid on Kitchen Aid products and showed us that the system rejected it. This is understandable, however we feel she should have offered some sort of discount since the was product was in fact used and for the inconvenience of having been told we could use the coupon. The entire time Rosa was sarcastic and rude. We work retail, so we know first hand how and how not to treat guests. We will definitely go out of our way to find any other employee to help us next time we go there. read more

Went to return an item today, and the customer service rep says she can't return because it's been returned, I explained that I purchase a lot of things that day and to look through my credit card and I also had the receipt. This is for the two older ladies that works there. I bought something online a MK wristlet. I was not happy about it so I decided to return it but the two ladies were like you can't return MK products at the store no more. There is no policy that states that. I went in to return a watch I had bought online but the associate who was helping me at the jewelry counter told me she was unable to make the return because "I had sized the watch" uhmm excuse you? I made a phone payment on 1/29/16! Called my bank to see what payments came thru over the weekend. Macy's payment went thru with the incorrect amount (over $9.22) and I have been trying to reach a "person" at the Montclair store with NO LUCK! Only get their recorded messages, that will not let me get into "ANY" department let alone into a person in the Credit Department. Have tried now, about 10 times to no avail. Also, there customer service at the store is horrible! There can be three girls behind the counter and only one might be on the register! Others are walking in and out of the counter with no eye contact or acknowledgement that you are there. No one on the floor to help you thought!!! What are these girls doing? Just looking busy? For being as high priced as it is, I thought there'd be somebody in the men's suit section that would be able to take measurements for a dress shirt, but sadly, there was no one around. Really, I just needed the measuring tape to do it myself, but it would have been nice for my nephew to get the whole experience of being measured by a tailor. I went to Macy's at Montclair Plaza. Made a couple purchases. At the end I decided to apply for their MAC card. I was approved and given a $1000 pass and told I would receive an extra 20% off on top of the 20% promo they had. I was like "shop whoo" and started shopping! I received my bill and I didn't see that extra 20% off. I contacted Macy's and was told I was denied and that they put the purchases on my actual Macy's card that I had not used at the time of the purchases. Does anyone know if this is legal? The help from the employees were absolutely terrible. I tried to turn in some pants and was missing the receipt and couldn't even get store credit for it. Even though I called and was told that I could. The employee, named alida or something didn't even TRY to help me. In an age were you don't expect to get good customer service in a big department store, Jose in the men's collection department superseded our expectations. I purchased two suits for my husband online, turns out I'm not that great remembering his size. So we took our items into the store. We were acknowledged imediately, and Jose took the time to try various sizes on my husband, one of the suits they were all out of and he has gracious enough to give us options on what we could do. Went to the Dior counter at this Macy's today to buy some face cream that I always use. The PUSHIEST sales person (named George) helped me. It was an awful experience!!! He was pushing so hard for me to buy an extremely over priced cream that I felt completely uncomfortable - he was unrelenting.
