I can't speak for the whole store but today I went into the shoe department in need of a cute statement shoe. I was feeling exhausted and a women named "Trista , Trina (young women with long black hair )" not sure how to spell her name , but she helped me so much ! She walked me through the different areas of the shoe department , looked at my dress and helped me select the perfect shoe . I purchased those shoes and will def come back to see if I can work with her again . And the shoes actually are so comfortable! read more

This is a gorgeous Macy's store that spreads over 3 floors. It's bright, clean and looks so glossy. There's a passageway that connects the parking lot. Lots of people walk thru this store to enter the mall. They have apparel, accessories, cosmetics, shoes, home goods, toys and so much more. Prices are similar to other Macy's and the website. Throughout the year they have promotional sales and discounts on different products. I have found good deals on men's shirt and for my daughter's clothing. Plenty of associates are available in each department to assist customers. read more

Very well maintained and super clean! Macys carry out great deals and especially if you know where and when to look for them. Some things are obviously pricey BUT prices range for all kinds of the products and there is always a good selection to choose from. I personally like buying my jackets and winter coats here bc they run pretty good and reasonable prices. ( the brand names especially lol) I always also find great deals in the clearance sections and the shoe sections too'! Holidays can get busy and hectic but the staff members are always so helpful and patient! Parking is available and goes is priced by the amount of Time you spend in the mall. Overall, great experience and definitely recommend!! read more

I don't understand the bad rap this place gets. I think it is as good as it gets in New Jersey. You can find your coat and your jewelry and everything else and especially kitchenware on the top floor. I had an awesome experience at Macy's thanks to Shazia. I was just looking for a first time watch in the 100 to 200 dollar range, but she really knows her watches and recommended the Seiko SSK003. It's a Seiko 5 Sports GMT. She explained why its good and a lot of people liked it, she helped me understand the differences between some models, and made sure I picked something that actually fit what I needed. I might get a Chronograph soon. She also resized the watch perfectly for my wrist and double checked the fit before I left. She explained the sale they had today and how much I would save. She even helped me apply for a Macy's credit card so I could get the extra discount. You can tell she genuinely wants the customer to get the best value. Overall, she was very friendly, very patient, and extremely professional. Shazia made the whole process easy for me. She definitely deserves recognition. read more

It's convenient to get stuff here if you live anywhere in Jersey City, and it's not as bad as Sears. If you have a Macy's credit card ,the deals here are very good. Check out the clearance sections and also the app for the latest sales. For clothes, the changing rooms are a bit messy, but maybe they'll have more staff clean it up when it's not the busy weekends. The furniture isn't the best selection, but the service is great. They'll deliver locally for free and they will help you move it in as well. read more

Hey everyone! I had the most fantastic experience at Macy's in Bay Plaza, Bronx! I needed help to match a salmon-colored suit with a shirt and tie, and Macy's customer service agent, Alexander, totally rocked it! Dressed as Harley Quinn, he was accommodating and hooked me up with the perfect shirt and tie for the suit, along with a tan suit. And to top it off, the prices were unbeatable on Black Friday in July! I will be a regular at this store if they have superstars like Alexander around. read more

Don't quite get it. It's Saturday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend and on the main floor for women's clothing there are only four cashiers that are open - two each in two checkout areas. Long lines in both and a riot almost breaks out in one of them with customers in the line yelling at a customer who is taking too long to make decisions while at the counter. One of the Macy's employees yells out to the line that there are open cashiers downstairs in men's and other areas and there are other employees organizing merchandise on the floor. It would seem to be Management 101 - assign more employees to service the customers. Even if it means moving cashiers from another floor rather than forcing customers to go to them. For whatever reason, there were also only two fitting rooms open, creating additional lines there. Why make it difficult for customers to shop and purchase? On the plus side, the merchandise was generally arranged well and the appearance of the floor was bright and clean. read more

Customer service here is absolutely atrocious. The employees aren't friendly and have no clue what they're doing, nor are there enough of them for the amount of shoppers - not a good combo. I've been here multiple times and the experience is always just as bad as I remembered. I've been buying from Macy's for years but this specific location should be avoided at all costs. read more

The manager has no idea what the rules to service dogs are and harassed two young people with service dogs until one of them medically passed out. This is unforgivable and the manager needs to actually "understand" the law. read more

Macy's in this mall is like most Macy's. This one (to me) is sprawling. Lots of space. The item my daughter was looking for was not there. We did take our time and look around. Very spacious. Not the crowds of tourists you see in the city. We enjoyed the large collection of Kate Spade merchandise. I took some pictures. My daughter likes Kare Spade dishes and other glass ware. Macy's always has the best sales. This is a beautiful store. We will return. read more

Frequent this Macy's more often than I would like, as I can't pass up a good sale/deal, also because it is housed in a decent sized mall with a lot of other cool stores to do damage at. Although this location is very small in comparison to the Herald Square one, it does have a good variety of items, especially in the women's clothing department. The floor design is cool, and there is always enough sales people if you have questions/concerns; the only negative aspect is their bathroom. It is in serious need of an update, and the cleaning crew should be on top of it, especially during the weekend when it is enduring the most foot-traffic and bathroom use. Overall a good store to shop at when you don't want to travel to the over crowded herald square location. read more

Something else of note - the staff here aren't trained well for adjusting watch straps. When they say "whoops" and call over more people to help, that's when I knew. Also, they don't mention it but when you get resized on the strap, that is no longer returnable (final sale). read more

The store selection is pretty good but there hasn't been a single time I've been there since they opened (which was probably 20 years ago by now) that I didn't have an issue with finding a cashier or someone to help me. I gave up on this store a while ago. For example, a couple of years ago I spent over an hour picking out Christmas gifts in the jewelry section and could not get anyone to help me check out. I spent 20 minutes searching for a cashier and for someone to open a display case so I could get some items from there also. I figured they were on break or something so I went back to the counter and waited some more. Hah. After another 10 minutes, I spot someone in the watch section so I run over. Oh, she's on break. How are you on break behind the counter on the sales floor? She finally get off her break and some guy walks up to look at watches and she starts helping him while I have been standing there waiting to check out. I gave up at that point, put everything on her counter and left. Nobody must have brought up in a meeting that when you have a store that sells goods, you should also have cashiers so people can exchange their money for those goods. I've tried to buy a purse, couldn't find a cashier and ended up in a long line in the men's department trying to pay for it while listening to the "Would you like to apply for a Macy's card?" over and over and over again. Why do they want people to apply for their card and hold up the only cashier on the entire floor even more when they can't check people out as it is? Gave up and left. Had to buy a dressy evening jacket, couldn't find any and couldn't find a salesperson. When I finally found one and wanted to try on another size, it wasn't their department. I decided to get it anyway and surprise surprise, no cashiers. I don't remember if I finally found a cashier in Junior's or little girls. It's insane. I'm not the only one with this problem. This review is towards Macys as a store and company overall. I came here to purchase a watch during friends and family 25% off week. Found a nice movado watch that I really wanted. Unfortunately they ran out and it meant I had to order online. However I was told that the watch can be transferred to the store and I can pick it up within a week and they would honor the discount. I was supposed to be called when the watch arrived. I never received any phone call and even called to check on it and absolutely nothing . Very unprofessional and discourteous. Additionally tried calling the store multiple times and the corporation and it took forever to try to get through to an agent and was put on hold for an extremely long time. This company is not what it used to be and because of there actions will probably cancel my credit card and not spend my hard earned money here anymore. It was a shame too since the watch was worth $2,000 and that's a good purchase right out of the door! read more

I ordered a couch in February 2021. I was told there would be a slight delay. I FINALLY got an email my couch was in stock in August 2021 (6 months later). However, it was in a warehouse in Georgia (I live in NC), and they only deliver to my area once a month. Therefore it would be a few more months until I could actually have it delivered. After calling customer service and complaining, I got it scheduled for 9/20/21. They could only deliver on Mondays so I had to take an entire day off work. They also have a delivery window of 11:30-1:30 and came at 2:30. When they finally came, they brought 2 different colored pieces. It's an L shaped couch and the sofa portion is blue and the chaise is gray (I ordered the whole thing I got gray). So after waiting 7 months they delivered the wrong item. After calling customer service several times and being hung up on they said they would not be able to exchange it until DECEMBER (almost an entire year after I ordered it). I said this was not acceptable. They are trying to move that time frame up but I have not heard anything back yet. Also, when I asked to not charge me until I have the correct item delivered, they said they can't do that and charged me anyway. They said I should have made the choice to refund it instead of exchange (which was not explained to me by the delivery person). So now I have paid for a 2 colored couch sitting in my living room and no date to get it exchanged. It's extremely frustrating. Do not buy from Macy's as if there is anything wrong with your order customer service is a nightmare. I have reported this to BBB. Also, I made a formal complaint on Macy's.com and they have never contacted me back. read more

Compared to the Macy's in Herald Square, this Macy's is a breath of fresh air. Obviously the selection is not as diverse as the one in Herald Square but unless you're looking for the latest and greatest or something extremely specific to Macy's Herald Square (i.e. Louis Vuitton), then I would definitely come here for the majority of Macy's goods. Most of the major brands are here: North Face, Coach, Dooney and Bourke, Michael Kors, Rachel Roy, Ralph Lauren, Nautica, Lacoste, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. And on the third floor you have bedding, kitchen, and children. Also, you pay 0 tax on clothing and shoes (7% on most other things) - doesn't that beat the tax you have to pay on these over $55 in NYC?! If you sign up for Macy's credit card, they always send you 20% off coupons (with a lot of exceptions though) - but it's worth it if you shop at Macy's a lot for random items. read more

Literally 5 people ignored me, 2 passed by when I was asking to help me and others were "not my department". I wasn't here necessarily looking to purchase anything. The atmosphere is definitely very off putting. Loud music blares from speakers in different sections of the store. The music playing is different in each section which ends up sounding like chaotic noise. The carpets are very dirty and look like they haven't been vacuumed in a long time-in all sections trash litters the floor. The shoe section has a large stack of empty boxes in the corner and the tables that hold shoes are all scuffed up and old. Macy's has a reputation of being a high end store; however, this one does not live up to it. It needs either new management or something. Gross. read more

I almost gave one star. I walked around this store for 15 mins and couldn't find anyone who could help me. It wasn't that I couldn't find employees, it was that the ones I could find would say they didn't know how to help me find what I needed. The lady at the mens counter, Laurie or Lauren was her name, helped me a lot. Sooooooooo helpful. Shes definitely a queen of sales and service. This one even has their Men's section as part of this Macy's and not it's own separate store like some Macy's. So bonus on that. The annual holiday windows are a treasured tradition for many and I am sharing my experience of 2020 Macy's holiday windows. I visited on a Saturday night and was touched by this year's theme of "Thank You". All the windows on 6th Avenue/ Avenue of the Americas feature the classic Macy's Elfs expressing thanks to the front line city workers who are tirelessly working to keep us all safe. This display also includes an interactive window where you can move the images from a distance with your hands and another emulating Times Square with signs proclaiming "Thank You" in multiple languages . To ensure social distancing there are spacing stickers on the ground kindly asking visitors to keep "antler distance apart". Proceeding to 34th street I found more goodies! The windows on 34th street has game windows for visitors including Macy's Memory Game, Santa's Magic Bag, and Sleigh Scape. The same social distancing stickers are laid out on the 34th Street side as well. This visit was most enjoyable and found there was ample opportunity for social distancing. On my next visit I plan to try out the games! read more

One of the most disastrous purchases of my life was at this Macy's (specifically at the jewelry dept). It was a white gold chain for a friend, which cost $200 and broke within 30 days. The repair plan is a joke b/c they tell you they will send out the necklace and see how much it costs to fix before even deciding to repair to piece of garbage they sold you. My friend got it repaired himself and guess what - it broke again. Now I'm having to try my luck at having it repaired. I was a loyal customer with a Macy's credit card until this happened as I will never purchase another single item from this store ever again (and am happy to encourage others to avoid it as well). read more

My family and I visited this Macys 8/15. My mom bought a pair a sneakers from the Finish Line shoe department. The sales associate that attended to us was very rude and unprofessional. At the register, the sales associate was very rude to my mom when asking her for her information. When I stated she does not have an email, the sales associate rolled their eyes, and mumbled under there breathe, "how do you not have an email, how do you have a job?" After my mom paid the sales associate, my uncle asked for assistance looking for a pair of girl's shoes. When the sales associate came back, they stated they did not have the size we asked for. We kindly said thank you but before we left, the sales associate handed the display shoe to my uncle and stated, "you need to put this back where you got it from" and walked away from us. Not that it makes a difference, but we did not move the display shoe. The sales associate took the shoe from the display wall and walked into the back to look for the size we asked for.
