I don't know why I keep going here, I always decide to go because I think it's great.. but I leave empty handed every single time. Their selection is seriously lacking and seems outdated as well. I feel like this should be an outlet store if Macy's had such a thing. The store is always in tip top shape though, which is super refreshing compared to the Stonebriar mall location, where you basically have to shop from the items on the floor. This Fairview location is a lot smaller than most Macy's, and it only has one floor. It does have a Starbucks inside which is pretty sweet and parking is ample. read more

So, I see all these great reviews for Macy's. Great service. Great clothes..Blah blah blah. Apparently, I must be the Pretty Woman of Macy's, because getting service here was painful at best. Even the shoe department, that works on commission, didn't seem interested in my attempt to purchase multiple pairs of $100+ shoes. I did have my daughter with me and my husband, but geez. A lady literally offered to get us a cart thing, walked away, AND NEVER CAME BACK. Seriously? Poor poor poor customer service. THEN..Apparently, Macy's operates similarly to an overreactive teen during prom and freaks out because of a thunderstorm, instructs ALL people in the building to hide in the men's section, and the doesn't say ANYTHING to anyone about what's going on! We even asked someone who worked there for help, who walked away in frustration at our request. Wow. Last I checked, CUSTOMER service is about providing service to the customer..Right? Overall, very poor experience. Macy's lost $$$ with us, and if I can help it, I will ensure they never get my or anyone else's money again. read more

This location is nice because it's not usually crowded. The downfall is it doesn't have some of the brands in the other nearby locations. It's a much smaller store. I got really great help from a young lady here today. It's rare to get that personalized service anymore. read more

Macy's is one of my go to stores but I may start leaning towards Dillard's. Each time I go into Macy's it's a quick grab what I like and head for check out. I kid you not they seem to either have next to no one open at a register.. If you get luck and find someone to check you out chances are they will leave the register with a line 6 people deep to help the 1st person in like find a different size. It's an ordeal and many times I've had to put back my items and just leave, that's money Macy's would have gotten from me with better service. read more

This Macy's was beautiful when it opened, not any more. It's a mess. Cheap merchandise always messed up displays. Can't believe a manager would stand for it. I can't completely fault the sales associates. They have cut the staff to a mere handful. Impossible for the skeleton staff to keep the place in shape. read more

Worst in the area. Always messy. Also watch your step around the men's areas because there's hundreds of needles imbedded in the carpet. Seriously, look down next time you're near the men's registers and near the jeans/ties. Dangerous and they don't care. Always pushing credit cards (scam) to meet a quota. Too pushy and that makes it hard to shop. Asked to talk to manager once, his shirt was half way unbuttoned and he talked to condescendingly to me. Awful experiences almost every time and it's not even other customers! Definitely do not recommend. The one at stonebriar or any other Macys is better. No experience with their managers though. Stores are more organized and cleanly though. read more

I went to Macy on the one day sale and I couldn't use any of my coupons. I was very sad and disappointed.

Again, I love this store. For excellent customer service and management and for a great selection. They usually have the best sales going on, and while this store may not be as large as some other Macy's, they shine in many departments. Most especially Jacque in INC and Style & Co., she is a PEACH! Best personality and has great style sense and now that she has come to help me so many times she knows what I like and will direct me accordingly. Plus who can NOT love a gal that loves In n Out Burgers? Give this store and the Village at Fairview a try, you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

The worst Manager I have ever met in my life. I had an item I had to return. But because the item was more than 364 days old the manager Marsha would not return it. I handed over my macys card and she rudely said she had left her iPad in her office and could not look for my transaction history. She said macys return policy has changed and that she could not take care of my return. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. No wonder Macys are closing. Because of this I will never return to a macys and I will be closing my macys card. I will report this issue with upper management Patrick. read more

This review is about Macy's furniture. I am extremely disappointed with a mattress purchase I made from Macy's. When I purchased the mattress back in 2012, the sales lady was very adamant about how I needed to buy the special stain resistant mattress cover to protect the mattress and keep the warranty intact. I didn't want to do anything to void the warranty, so I made $100 purchase of the cover. However, I was not informed that I would also need a special frame to keep the warranty intact. I did not purchase a frame because I already had one. Now 5 years later, I am now finding out that because I do not have a five legged frame, my warranty is void for my $1000 Beautyrest mattress with a 10 year warranty. read more

This company forgot about customer loyalty and honesty. They have not realized that increasing the price of items while in the customer's online bag will not make a customer rush to buy the items. First of all, I until today, I shopped at Macy's for over 18 years. I no longer recommend this store. This morning I was trying to place an online order using the 20 percent of coupon. A glitch in the system would not let me use my coupon. I called customer service but the department was closed. I waited a couple hours until the department opened to get assistance so that I can order online. This is where the trouble began. 1. It was very hard to understand the representative. I explained to him that I could not get the system to apply the discount. 2. Next when I logged back into the system, the total price for the five dresses increased by about 70 dollars. This was weird because it happened the same day. Who wants pay more same items the same say. 3. After we were finally able to understand each other the representative made the adjustment to the price so that is was close to the total I saw a couple of hours earlier. 4. Now, it was time for the representative to apply the 20 percent discount to a total of $238. and some odd cents. He said that he applied the 20 percent discount however the total was now $228 and some change, 20 percent of $238 is not $228. I looked at the PROMO again and noticed that he applied the ten-dollar coupon instead of the 20 percent coupon. 5. I tried to explained to him that ten dollars off is not 20 percent off of $238. He told me that it was too late because the order was already placed. Besides, he already removed more than 20 percent. I explained to him that a price adjustment is different from a PROMO. 6. I asked him to cancel the order. Because who wants to pay more for something that was advertised at a lower price. He said that he did. 7. I called approximately four hours later and was told that order was not cancelled. I ask to speak to a manager and they connected me to a supervisor. The supervisor asked me to explained the issue to her. She told me he took more than the 20 percent off without the PROMO. Several occasions I tried to explained to the supervisor that original sales person made a price adjustment to reflect the original sales price so that he could apply holiday weekend PROMOs. 8. For the third time I ask to cancel the order she explained again that the original person did not cancel the order like he said would and she was going to cancel it but she could only cancel one order and the other order will be rerouted. I lost my faith in a lifelong company because I was not valued with integrity and honesty read more

I've been a faithful Macy's customer since they were Foley's. But their credit card interest rate is outrageously high - 29%. And that's in a tie when the prime rate is under 1%. There's no reason for this but GREED. If I can't pay cash I don't buy it. But then I lose the advertised discounts. GRRRRR. read more

I've never felt less welcome at a Macy's. I just literally got yelled at for being in a dressing room 10 minutes after close at a store that closes at 8 o'clock. There was no announcement of closing time and most stores close at 9. I can't believe I just spent $347 there but I am leaving for a vacation tomorrow and didn't have any other time to shop. If I had had the option I would have left everything on the counter and gotten out of there. As I was leaving the same woman was there waiting with headphones in and right as I got to the door she started pretending she couldn't open it and rattling the handle vigorously to make me feel guilty. She rolled her eyes and sighed loudly then easily opened it, let me out and then slammed it shut unnecessarily loud. I used to love Macy's but after this customer service... I will never be returning to the one on Stacy Road and I don't recommend that anyone else does. read more
