Macy's is the gorilla in the room. I think they have expanded so fast that they have lost sight of the number one rule of retail... customer, customer, customer. They have reduced the staff to such a bare bones level that you have to search for someone to take you money and when you find them, they have a line. There are clothes piled in the fitting rooms and merchandise is strewn about on the sales floor. Most staff do not know the merchandise in their departments and are unable to advise on availability. This is a last resort when shopping and by the way, this is one of their better stores. read more

I stopped here twice this week during my lunch breaks to find a dress and shoes for a wedding this weekend. Finding a dress was simple and easy and I LOVE the fit! Shopping upstairs was a breeze and the customer service was great. Cons: Dressing room was hot, which made trying on a tight dress uncomfortable. Bathroom was a mess and smelled VERY unpleasant. The department store is understaffed. The dressing rooms are horribly unorganized with piles of clothes everywhere and I after searching for a pair of shoes and finding the right fit after an hour of shopping... the sales people not only didn't try to help me find the shoe, they didn't care. Pretty bummed because my initial experience was great. They need more staff, and friendlier staff willing to help. read more

Horrible horrible horrible! Visited finish Line on 3/6/2019 at 4:30 , I attempted to order shoes on line as customer service phone advised me to. I will never step foot back into any Finish Line , here's why.... I spend thousands i mean thousands a year with this company , I was treated like a burden the second I walked up to the counter . The young lady (And I'm putting that nicely because i have way more class than she showed) was looking down at her fingers in limbo for 45 seconds before She noticed me & finally asks how she can help me, I showed her the shoes I wanted to order because the app said they were out of stock at this location. She said ok checks in the back (for what i don't know) then confirms what I already knew.... they don't have them . She walks off helps another customer who arrived after me, walks around in a daze then 10 mins later comes back and then tells me I can not use my reward for online purchases! That's a lie, I worked for Finish Line and I know better! Her excuse was that it was a Macy's Finish Line . Ok , even if so still horrible service. I told her that's fine and more than likely not true, and I wouldn't be back because if you can't honor FL rewards I wasn't interested .work seemed to inconvenience her. However making fun of another customer right in front of me wasn't as exhausting, she had plenty of energy for that! I've been to this Boca Mall before but never walked into Macy's. I mainly came to shop in the women's department which is located on the second floor. They have a huge "last act" clearance area. After gathering a few things I waited behind 2 women to cash out. I was standing there for about ten minutes. An associate saw me and told me she would ring me up at another register. I thought that was great customer service. I didn't get a chance to see the whole store, but I know the Mens department and shoes for ladies are downstairs. Do NOT buy a mattress for ANY reason, they falsely advertise regarding warranties on their mattress!!! Long story short, I purchased an $800.00 mattress in 2017, I had one small stain, and broken springs!!! Macy's will NOT honor their ten year warranty. Their own company Reliable Service( the company they contract with) even said they look for any excuse NOT to honor the warranty. Stained or not it is two separate issues!!! But when you buy the matress no one tells you the return policy the true policy!! Its NOT stated online. Don't shop Macy's, total rip off!!! Please go anywhere but Macy's. Bought a mattress for my son's college apartment on August 8th. Macy's said it would be delivered on August 22nd. They sent numerous emails confirming that date. Yesterday, (August 21st), their e-mail read "Your mattress is on the truck for delivery tomorrow, August 22nd". Then, 4 hours later, they emailed that the delivery is scheduled for September 5th. No explanation as to what happened to the mattress that was on the truck. Their customer service number left me on hold for an hour. I called the store and they could not explain it. I've been told that the situation has been escalated to the "Presidential Team", but they only work from 11:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday. I've been told there won't be anything they can do as they don't have any mattresses. In the meantime, my son is sleeping on an air mattress. read more

This review applies to the home goods and appliances department. I am in the market for a all purpose toaster oven and decide to go to Macy's. So one of the "advantages" to shopping in a department store is supposed to be the personalized service you receive when shopping. IMHO this consists of basically of two things: knowledge of the product, courteous service. Sadly, both were lacking on my last visit. When I asked for assistance at the cash register right next to the ovens I was looking to buy, the first assistant had no clue of the price or the difference between the two Breville units offered. Once I was able to to figure out on my own the diffence between the units, it turns out the unit at the bottom of the stack of ovens was the one I was interested in. When I asked for the price, the senior asst put on a huff, and aggresively threw the units on top out of the way and made it clear it to me that she was annoyed by my request. Needless to say that I would rather shop on line than deal with lackluster customer service. read more

I'm a Macy's fan, as they're always having sales on everything. I'm not a big shopper. However, when I do, I always start with Macy's. I like this store more than other's. It's busy but manageable and easy to navigate. All staff that I've come across are amicable, knowledgeable and helpful. It's easy to locate inside or outside of the mall. The only reason it's four stars is that I can occasionally find better deals on clothes or shoes at Nordstrom Rack and/or Wayfair for furniture and in-the-home items. However, I have to do more research or digging to get those deals usually. Macy's is a one-stop shop that I always use as my baseline (online or in-store) and I always get a good or great deal. If you're going to go to a Macy's store, go to this one. read more

I spent an entire morning searching the great Los Angeles area, desperately trying to find a blazer that was sold out everywhere!!! My very picky fiancé fell in love with this the day prior and I absolutely had to find it for him. I was frustrated with the amount of times I was placed on hold or greeted by less than enthusiastic employees... That was until I called this location in Boca Raton, FL and found Jack! Jack didn't seem at all annoyed by my somewhat time consuming inquiry and after confirming they showed two still available at his location, he offered to personally find it & call me back. Less than 10 minutes later he called me back and was very patient with helping me purchase and ship the item to California. Not only was he extremely helpful, but he also was the only employee I spoke too all morning that was super friendly and asked how my day was! Jack= A++++. I purchased several toys at Macy's I went to Macy's at Town Center Mall in Boca Raton to return 2 toys purchased on-line and 1 toy purchased in a different store. At the service desk, the person claimed my transactions did not exist and sent me to Customer Service. The clerk in Customer Service told me the same thing. I asked to see a Supervisor and miraculously, she found the on-line transactions and credited my account. Unfortunately, instead of giving me a credit for the toy I purchased on-sale in the store, she treated my return as a purchase and charged the full price of the toy to my account. I noticed something hinky when I got my bill and called the customer (dis) service number on the back of my card. I had to repeatedly provide the same information (name, account number, phone number) to the person and she claimed my account number was not valid nor was my phone number. She transferred me to another person and I had to again provide the same information repeatedly to the second person. She claimed she could not see the transactions I was referring to, I thought she was either stupid or Macy's needs a new billing system (I was looking at my bill) so I asked to speak to a supervisor. After being put on hold for a several minute eternity, she came back claiming the supervisor was on another call. I was not surprised. I felt good knowing I was not singled out and that Macy's generally has poor customer service no matter who you are. I was then transferred back to the original department. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor in that department. Of course, no one I spoke with listened to anything I was saying and I had to explain the scenario again. I was given a case number and told it will take 2 to 3 months before I hear anything. I'm not going to hold my finger on my butt waiting to hear from them. read more

This is a hard review to write. As much as the choices here are abundant. Sometimes the price is way too high or just right. Sometimes the employees can be extremely helpful, or extremely misleading... On one occassion, an employee helped me for atleast an hour searching for outfits that worked for me. I greatly appreciated it, and she made a great sale. On the other hand, when opening a Macy's card, I had an employee dupe me into donating money to receive discounts when I purchase at Macy's until the end of the year. Then when I realized I was donating $25 to get these discounts and had to spend at least another $130 at Macy's to get that donation back, I asked for a refund and she said it was too late. I went to find a manager and then got it refunded myself. So be aware of what prices and charges you may have at Macy's... You never know if a sale actually applies to your purchase. read more

This location I find has great service. Last couple of times here I primarily go to the second floor and look around in the Inc, Michael Kors, Karen Kane, Vince Camuto, Calvin Klein areas. There is always a salesperson offering to take my items to hold a dressing room and checking on me in the dressing room bringing alternate sizes, colors etc. I never pay full retail here always taking advantage of a sale or using my coupons. Their shoe department is pretty large as is their fragrance and cosmetics area. I've been to other Macy's where the service is very poor and the stores a mess but this one happens to be one of the better stores in my opinion. read more

This review is for the Mac Cosmetic Counter inside Macy's. I came in here last week with a friend to help her pick out a concealer. Now I'm a makeup junky and I've tried enough brands and products to know what works and what doesn't for oily combination skin. After trying many different concealer at sephora on my friend. I knew exactly what she needed. We didn't want to walk all the way to MAC the store because it was further. We stopped in Macy's to quickly match her color, buy the product and leave the mall. That was a mistake. The sales lady approached us to help pick out a matching color. Not only was her color matching skills off by a lot. She was trying to sell us all the wrong products, what wouldn't have worked for oily skin. Additionally, she was giving us wrong makeup advice. Thank goodness we got out of there. THE WORST SERVICE. PERIOD. This is in regards to every jewelry counter here. They have the absolute worst most non existent service ever. The workers completely ignore you and if you are fortunate (or should I say unfortunate) enough to get the attention of one of the employees, you're met with a snobby rude demeanor and unhelpful attitude. I don't understand where these people get their stuck up attitude from. For starters, this is MACYS. NOT Saks, Neimans, or even Bloomingdales. Macy's is at the very bottom end of this chain and not even remotely considered "upscale." The shitty Macy's brand jewelry isn't worth anything and the few brands they do have, you can't even look at because the workers do not help at all. I will literally pay more just to go to any store to actually eat decent service. UPDATE: Listen, do NOT go the women's fragrance counter at all. I don't know about every employee there but the two ones that I encountered today completely turned me off. The first one was so not knowledgeable about perfumes and when I asked for some recommendations she gave me a few name brands but instead of actually walking me over to the specific scents and spraying them so I can test them, she just stared at me and walked away. UM okay then?? I guess that's why you work at Macy's and not a nice department store. The next "worker" was some lady at the Dior section. I asked if there were any samples of one of the perfumes and she said no. I asked if she was able to make one and she said no but she can spray a card. Wow thank you so much for being able to spray a card for me. I legitimately can spray a card myself. I don't need her to spray a stupid piece of paper for me. She was so rude about not having a sample and smirked she can make a "spray card" ok how about you spray your face and get out of here? I've had great experiences at this store all around, but today was the absolute best. My boyfriend bought me a necklace from an expensive jewelry store and shortly after the chain broke. Said store claimed they had no chains that would fit that pendant without trading it in for something else. Then I met Tina at the jewelry counter at this Macy's location and she saved the day for me! She found me a beautiful chain that compliments my pendant so well. She was super patient and sweet, even putting the necklace on me so I could wear it out of the store. I will definitely be back to see Lisa here for any future jewelry needs! read more

I ordered a sofa, coffee and end tables at the end of November. I had contact with the store regarding the delivery and was told that the coffee table and end table was holding the order up. I called today (January 9) to find that the entire order is ready to deliver ( I was not contacted by Macy's, I called them) and that the first delivery date was February 23rd. I just completed renovation of my residence, am seasonal in Florida, and leave in March. Even though they have the furniture, they cannot deliver it for 6 weeks. Horrible. I absolutely love this Macy's in the Town Center Mall! They have such a wide variety of merchandise. I shop there at least once a week. Spend a lot of money. I get many great discounts especially when you have your one day sales events. I have spent a lot of money on my favorite makeup and skin care Lancôme!!! The best makeup for aging skin like mine. I just want to thank my sales associate, I think her name was Carol, who was so sweet and patient with me. I guess you can say I am a little bit difficult and I was taking up a lot of her time when she could have been making money on other customers. She was so professional and never once complained! Thank you Carol for putting up with me. You deserve a medal and a pat on the back for dealing with all the women that come into the store and complain. You were so sweet. Thanks again! The racks are a mess. Nothing is organized and so much stuff cannot find things. They would be better off to eliminate some of the stuff and make it more manageable to keep the clothing in the correct areas. I am sure it is hard as people leave stuff all over, but I looks like they just hung clothes anywhere. Not a fan. Nordstrom is no more expensive and much easier to shop.. Went to get new glasses for her lenses in a panic! Sales Associate, Barbara S, provided the absolute best customer service. She was able to fix our issue in a quick and timely manner with a can do attitude! Her friendliness, sense of urgency, and recognition of our total and complete panic with a limited timeframe was exemplary. Store is an average Macy's and I wouldn't expect it to be anything different. What stands out though, are the bathrooms. They are appalling! They are dirty 100% of the time I go in there. Today, I stopped in there on the way out from the Apple Store, and there was urine on the floor and toilet paper strewn over the toilet seats and none of the toilets were flushed in 4 of the 7 stalls. There is not one hook for bags or handbag in ANY of the stalls. Not one hook, at a shopping mall where people actually HAVE shopping bags all the time. So do I need to hold all my shopping bags and my purse while going to the bathroom? No one in their right mind would set there things down on that disgusting floor. I expect more from a department store in an upscale mall. read more
