This review pertains to the ladies shoe department. I am a loyal Macy*s customer. I understand busy, and am a patient customer. What I do not understand is being treated poorly and being mislead. Now, when I say loyal, I mean loyal so I pretty much know the ins and outs about shopping there. I tried on a few pairs of shoes and found a pair that I absolutely had to have (such a girl). The sales associate brought out a pair in another color and I knew I wanted them. I asked her if she could order them for me and she proceeded to print out a receipt listing of local stores that had the shoes and advised me to call them and order them by phone. None of the stores were nearby. I asked her again if SHE could order them and she again referred me to the printed receipt. As I looked for a manager or another associate who cold help, I overheard another associate advising a customer that her shoes would be delivered to her house and that she should hold onto her receipt. This confirmed that the associates were knowledgeable that the shoes could be ordered from the warehouse directly. My s/o grabbed another associate for me who began to referee me back to the dimwit that originally helped me. I had to tell her that frankly I don't think she wanted to help and that I needed her to order them. Long story short of it - great selection, great prices - really crappy customer service in the shoe department. read more

I went to this store today from West Palm Beach, thinking it was a bigger store. I was looking for Mother of the bride wedding dresses, and other casual dresses for my trip up north for my daughters wedding. Terrible experience. A majority of the dresses were all on hangers with the wrong size, and were mixed in with other clothes on clearance. The ones that were not on clearance they still were wrong sizes on the hangers. This Macy's is the most disorganized store that I have ever been in. Not one sales person even came up to me to see if they could help either. Nonetheless, I left, and will never shop there again. Will go further up North or around my own area where I live and give my business to a store where the people are friendly, helpful, and you can actually pick out a dress on the hanger, and it will be the right size. I NEVER write reviews. I found this was necessary due to the exceptional customer service I got at Sephora in Macy's. Michael the counter manager, although he was quite busy this day he took time to show me several products that would match my skin color. I ended up purchasing a palette, brush, foundation stick and make up remover and I fell in love with all of it. He apologized several times that he couldn't attend me for 15 min since someone else needed his attention as well. As a result, he ended up giving me a few samples for the inconvenience. They are not a part of mac select and do not tell you that. So anything you purchase does not count to mac rewards. They also don't honor the mac free applications. Called up mac and they do not care or will do anything about it. I spent over 300 dollars in the last month. read more

The other day I was in the store to exchange two items. Now I've been here many times and never this bad. The first was I went to Finish Line in Macy's to get a different size pair of sneakers. They were great. I got my sneakers quickly and they were helpful. I then went to the third floor kids section to get a different size pants for my son. There were about 4-7 people on the floor organizing, moving clothes. I saw three employees busy chatting more then working talking about another employee. I had to approach them for help nobody approached me. The one employee who helped me told me she hadn't seen the size pants I was looking for I would have to go to the register to have the cashier looking it up. Well in front of me was another employee that was off , trying to get as many discounts she can get. After 5 minutes of this going on I left. I went to customer service and returned the item. I did attempt to have the pants delivered but that was a 10.00 delivery charge. What was really sad to see the lack of customer service, the lack of help. You hear in the news how bad the mall department stores are doing, like Macy's , JC Penny's this is why. Very sad cause I use to feel bad and at times that's why I shop in the store and not order on line. Well no more feeling bad, I'll shop on line more convenient. read more

I purchased two mattresses from Macy's in Boca Raton Florida recently. The lack of information given us at time of purchase and customer service following has been an enormous headache. Yesterday while delivering the final mattress and box spring the delivery driver asked if I would like them to remove the heavy plastic covering on both the box spring and mattress. I replied that I would and the driver acknowledged that he heard me. I actually left the bedroom for a moment and heard the front door close and the two drivers speaking to each other, went back in the bedroom plastic still on and to boot they Forgot to delivered the protective cover that we had purchased to insure we had an extended warranty in case of spillage. Etc. They left it on the truck! I was never given a chance to inspect the merchandise while they were here. I never signed for it. They could have delivered to the wrong home and never known it! So now I call Macy's to say that we didn't receive the protective cover and they should come back with it and explain what has happened and To ask if it has not negated the warranty. I've been told no but I'm not sure I believe this after the service we have received twice now. I'm switched to customer service representative who says they can't come back, we can't pick it up at the store and in fact we will have it UPS in 7 business days. Then when I protest the customer service rep tries hard to make it right tries to have it redelivered on Monday but is told no by someone and in fact they can't deliver until Wednesday. Wednesday isn't good for us so I ask why not Monday. She has no idea. Whatever happened to Customer Service Macy's?? There should be a huge retrain going on! I love this Macy's! They have a HUGE selection of clothes and make up compared to the one by my house (Boynton beach) they also have Tarte, benefit, and philosophy make up and skin care. The cosmetics manager helped me out (older man with amazing eyebrows and make up skills) he did my make up to see what I liked and wouldn't like. He was very honest with me and didn't sell my anything that wouldn't be good for me. I think this is something that makes customers come back! We played with make up for about an hour and he showed me so many things! I will be back to see him for all my make up needs! :) read more

I am from New York/ New Jersey and my past experiences with Macy's have been subpar. That all changed since my visit to the Dress department in the Boca Store and the sales associate Nilza. We went to the Town Center In search of a Junior Prom Dress for my daughter. We hit all the high end stores first. As a last resort we we to Macy's where we were surprised to see that they had the largest selection of prom dresses. And yes we found her dress! Some of the beading was missing. Our sales associate Nilza was so helpful. She tried to see if another store had it and when she could find it she said that they could fix it and have it ready in time before we were going home. Nilza kept in touch with us thru the process and then offered to have it shipped to our home in New York so we would not have to take it on the plane. She called twice to make sure she had the right address. Today we received the dress and it was perfect. This is not the type of customer service I expected from Macy's. Thank you Nilza read more

Macy's is one of my favorite stores. I enjoy shopping there and the Boca location is perfect. The store is always very clean and they have such a large variety of products. I bought many cute dresses from there and they always send me coupons. the best thing to do is to always wait for a sale, that's when you get the best prices. read more

Friday morning was a hectic day starting off as our son had just gotten back home Thursday night and had a very important job interview Friday at 1:00 pm in Miami. He tried on his suit Thursday night to realize it was too small and he was unable to wear it for interview. He didn't need any stress worrying about what he was going to wear. We got to Macys Boca Town Center just when they opened straight to the Men's clothing department where we were greeted by Pattu Budman. She took charge of our dilemma and within 30 minutes we walked out of Macys with a gorgeous tailored suit ready to make a great impression with no worries. Thank you Patti once again for your excellent above and beyond service and thank you for getting the tailor to measure and hem the pants and thank you for calling another associate to steam press the shirt.
